Man Utd get this game underway!
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League match between Manchester United and Burnley at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already made history as caretaker Manchester United boss - under the Norwegian's management, the Reds have won all of their eight games, a new record. Now on the edge of the Premier League top four after the season looked like a write-off, the Norwegian and his side are looking for nine wins in a row. On paper, this home fixture against relegation-threatened Burnley looks likely to provide it.
Then again, Burnley are in decent form themselves. After looking doomed themselves just a few weeks ago, Sean Dyche's side have won three and drawn one of their last four Premier League games and sit out of relegation danger for now. Their recent record against 'top six' sides isn't great though - the disciplined Lancashire side may have to brave more than just the cold weather around Manchester today.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-3-3): David De Gea; Ashley Young (c), Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Andreas Pereira Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba; Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford.
SUBS: Sergio Romero, Fred, Diogo Dalot, Chris Smalling, Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera, Alexis Sanchez.
BURNLEY (4-4-1-1): Tom Heaton (c); Phil Bardsley, Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, Charlie Taylor; Jeff Hendrick, Jack Cork, Ashley Westwood, Dwight McNeil; Ashley Barnes; Chris Wood.
SUBS: Joe Hart, Josh Benson, Stephen Ward, Johann Gudmundsson, Ben Gibson, Matej Vydra, Sam Vokes.
The two sides hold a minute's silence before kick-off as this is Man Utd's nearest home game to the anniversary of the 1958 Munich air disaster. It's impeccably observed.
This match isn't going all United's way so far. The home side have been by far the more proactive but the Reds have been wasteful with the few clear opportunities they've had, particularly when Rashford stabbed wide early on. If the score stays 0-0 Burnley will be delighted.
That draw extends both United's and Burnley's unbeaten league runs to seven and five games respectively. United stay sixth, two points behind Arsenal after the Gunners beat Cardiff at the Emirates. Burnley are 15th, although two sides below them have games in hand.
Solskjaer's dream start at United just about continues then. The Reds will visit Leicester this weekend, while Burnley welcome Southampton to Turf Moor. Both sides should feel buoyed by tonight's result. That's all for now. Goodbye!
