Huddersfield have one last go, but they are caught offside and the chance is gone.
90' +2
Gudmunsson presses a little too eagerly, and givese away a free-kick for a foul on Billing.
90' +1
Mooy fires the resulting free-kick into the wall, and the home side can clear away gratefully.
90'
J. Tarkowski gets yellow.
Tarkowski slides in recklessly as Huddersfield break, and is given a very well-deserved yellow.
89'
F. Hadergjonaj enters the game and replaces E. Kachunga.
Kachunga is replaced by Hadergjonaj for the final few minutes.
87'
Schindler races back to intercept a great through ball aimed at Wood, and then clears it well. Great no-nonsense defending there.
86'
Tarkowski is a bit lucky to get away without a card in that earlier tussle, having appeared to kick out at his Huddersfield counterpart.
85'
Lowe gives away a free-kcik for a silly challenege, and Brady has a chance to deliver something for his teammates to attack. Tarkowski has a little tussle with Zanka first, though. The ball is poor in the end, and Lossl claims it.
84'
Wood turns on the edge of the box and releases a shot, but, despite generating a fair amount of power on it, it's too central and Lossl catches well.
82'
Lowton whips the ball into Barnes' feet, who tries to lay it off, but it's intercepted and cleared. Burnley still probing as the game draws to a close.
Minute
Description
80'
P. Billing enters the game and replaces J. Hogg.
Billing replaces Hogg as Wagner seems to be consolidating for a point in the last 10 minutes.
79'
Defour swings a lofted cross into the box from deep which causes all kinds of problems. It's a little too high though, and despite Lossl coming out and claiming nothing, it floats harmlessly behind for a goal kick.
77'
J. Guðmundsson enters the game and replaces S. Arfield.
Guðmundsson replaces Arfield, who had made a good impact against his former club, but was ultimately unable to make the brekathrough.
76'
Mooy produces a lovely, swerving, cross-field ball to van La Parra, who crosses into the box, where it's cleared for a corner. Mooy takes the set-piece, but Depoitre can only head wide at the back post.
74'
A. Barnes enters the game and replaces J. Hendrick.
Substitution for Burnley as Hendrick departs, but its Barnes, not Vokes who comes on to replace him in support of Wood. He's a real handful, and will look to put himself around and cause problems.
72'
Brady is released on the right of the box as Burnley break quickly down the other end, but his effort is wild and high, and he's flagged for offside too.
71'
R. van La Parra gets yellow.
NO PENALTY! Kachunga races down the centre and plays substitute van La Parra through on the left, who falls theatrically to the floor. Replays show that there was no contact, and the winger is booked for simulation!
69'
CHANCE! Hendrick wins a free-kick after a quality touch. Brady's delivery finds Tarkowski all on his own, but he heads over the bar and is offside anyway.
67'
A little too intricate from Burnley on the right wing and they lose it, allowing Huddersfield to break. They loft the ball into Depoitre from the right, but it doesn't quite fall for him this time. That final ball is still lacking from both teams.
65'
CHANCE! Mooy gives the ball to Ince in his new role, and he very nearly makes good on it with a fierce left-footed drive that just whizzes past the right-hand post! The keeper was beaten there.
63'
R. van La Parra enters the game and replaces A. Sabiri.
Sabiri makes way for van La Parra. The visitors will look to use his pace to create a little more, and provide a threat on the counter. He moves out to the wing while Ince comes inside, behind Depoitre.
62'
Hendrick drives through the heart of midfield, breaking away on Huddersfield with options either side. He gives it to Brady on his right, who checks inside, but the shot is straight at Lossl and has nowhere near enough power to beat him.
59'
Wood chests down a throw-in towards Hendrick, but he takes a touch and he's crowded out. Perhaps he should have gambled with a first-time shot there.
58'
Burnley were knocking the ball around reasonably well, but an overhit pass goes out for a Huddersfield throw, much to the frustration of the home crowd.
56'
It's worked around well down the left, and Ward just about wriggles free, and fizzes a low cross towards the near post. Wood just about gets something on it, but Lossl is there to keep it out. Ward has been Burnley's best player so far today.
55'
The ball is whipped into Depoitre from the left, but he's penalised for a high boot as he stretches to reach it round his marker.
54'
Mee concedes a free-kick for a hefty challenge on the right flank. It's lofted into the box, but Pope is there to punch clear.
52'
Brady clips a ball into the onrushing Cork, but it can't quite find its way into him and Huddersfield clear. They race down the other end through Kachunga and, after some neat interplay on the edge of the box, Sabiri fires well over the bar.
51'
Wood looks to have jarred his knee and is limping a little, but no indication that he'll need to come off as of yet.
50'
Brady's casual pass gives possession away, but Cork manages to win it back before conceding a throw in. There's been no let up in the battling and aggression on display in the first half.
48'
CHANCE! Ince drives at the heart of the defence after Cork is robbed on the halfway line. He plays Depoitre in on the left hand side, but his first-time effort fizzes low but straight at the keeper, who pushes it out for his defenders to clear.
47'
Huddersfield win a corner as the referee plays advantage following Mee's collision with Sabiri. Mooy plays a short corner to Smith on the edge of the box, but his touch and strike sails over the bar. Another somewhat unconvinving set-piece routine.
46'
And we're back underway as Burnley kick off the second half!
45' +2
And Arfield, despite doing well to win a throw, accidentally drops the ball out of his hands when feinting a throw and a foul throw is awarded.
45' +1
A couple of minutes of stoppage time to play as Arfield begins to get more involved in the play, but he can't quite unlock his former club's defence at the moment.
45'
Sabiri skips past a couple of challenges and releases Kachunga on the left. He crosses this time and it almost finds Ince, but Burnley manage to head the ball away.
43'
Mooy finally gets a chance to create, taking the ball in on the edge of the box, and playing it wide to Kachunga, who lines up an effort from distance. He blazes his shot over the bar though. Maybe there were better options from that position.
42'
Cork pounces on a loose ball by Hogg, but former Huddersfield man Arfield can't quite get on the end of his dinked through ball and Lossl can collect.
38'
CHANCE! Brady presses high and wins the ball back on the edge of the box, before releasing Ward, who crosses into Wood, but Schindler is there to make an inspired clearance! That looked like a really good opening for the home side!
37'
Defour plays Lowton in with a lovely pass, but the full-back tries to take Smith on instead of crossing, and loses out.
36'
Lowe skips away down the left, but his curling cross is just too long and Burnley clear. Wood does well to control the clearance, but can't keep it and is dispossessed.
34'
Hogg and Mooy are having to drop very deep, between the centre-halves almost, in order find space in which to receive the ball and turn. Mooy's creative abilities in particular are being crowded out in this packed, physical midfield.
33'
Huddersfield begin to mount a bit of pressure, but Smith is caught offside on the right wing and the pressure is eased.
32'
Brady delivers a corner, but Wood gets underneath it and his header goes out away from goal rather than towards it. He was well marshalled by the Terriers defence there.
30'
Sabiri and Ince break away and have a chance to run at the Burnley defenders at the edge of their own box. But Sabiri dwells on the ball for far too long and by the time he plays Ince in, the winger is offside. Poor communication there.
29'
Lowe goes in late on Brady and is lucky to escape a booking as the Irishman tried to clear.
27'
Kachunga keeps in an overhit cross brilliantly from going out for a goal-kick, and wins a throw on the left flank.
24'
S. Arfield gets yellow.
Arfield gets a yellow for a late challenge, and although the referee had tried to play advantage, he eventually pulls it back for the free-kick, which Ince massively overhits. Very disappointing for Huddersfield.
23'
CHANCE! Ward plays a lovely one-two with Arfield, and then delivers a perfect cross into Wood in the box, whose header drifts wide when he seemed certain to score!
21'
Huddersfield bunch together in the box from their corner kick. It's taken short, but their set piece routine doesn't work as the return pass is overhit, and it's an opportunity wasted.
19'
Both sides are playing very similarly here - looking to hit their target men with long balls and defending very physically and solidly.
18'
Zanka's long ball finds Depoitre on the edge of the box, but he's just outmuscled despite a good first touch on his head.
17'
Brady races back to nick the ball off the advancing Lowe. The winger wants a goal-kick but the corner is rightly awarded. Pope collects assertively from Mooy's delivery.
16'
Brady gets another corner kick opportunity from the opposite side, but his inswinger is unusually short and hits Depoitre at the near post, who clears.
15'
Mee finds Wood with a long ball down the flank, and the big striker wins a corner off Zanka. Tarkowski meets Brady's delivery and plays it back into the box, but it's cleared away.
13'
Huddersfield are playing almost as a 4-4-2 at times, with Sabiri pushing up alongside and even beyond Depoitre as he awaits the striker's flick-on or knock-down.
12'
Burnley create an opening with some nice interplay on the left flank, but Huddersfield were out quickly to block any incoming shots and snuff out the danger.
10'
Wood wins a flick-on from Pope's long ball, but Arfield gives away a foul as he chases Smith, who was shielding the ball out for a goal-kick.
9'
Wood meets a floated cross with his head, but he's flagged up for offside and he had headed wide anyway.
7'
J. Cork gets yellow.
Cork goes in with a hefty challenge that is also penalised, and the former Swansea midfielder gets a yellow card. The physical element of this game is already very evident.
6'
A. Sabiri gets yellow.
Sabiri goes in high on Lowton and he catches the full-back studs-up on the top of his ankle! He gets away with a yellow this time, but it wasn't a nice challenge.
5'
Sabiri goes in high on Lowton and he catches the full-back studs-up on the top of his ankle! He gets away with a yellow this time, but it wasn't a nice challenge.
4'
Ward miscontrols a pass and it slips past him, but there were no onrushing Huddersfield players and the ball goes out for a throw-in.
3'
Ward goes long down the left flank, but the ball is a little late and the linesman's flag goes up for offside.
2'
Chris Wood tussles with Zanka by Huddersfield's left corner flag, but the ball had rolled out off the New Zealand striker for a goal kick. There will be a good physical battle between striker and centre-halves at both ends today.
1'
And we're off! Huddersfield get us underway.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League fixture between Burnley and Huddersfield at Turf Moor.
Expect a tight game here as both sides look to continue their strong starts to the season, sitting 6th and 7th in the table on eight points apiece. A solitary point of goal difference is all that separates the sides so far.
Huddersfield substitutes: Hadergjonaj, Green, Billing, Hefele, van La Parra, Whitehead, Malone
Former Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells misses out on the chance to make his debut against his old club as he continues to be sidelined with an ankle injury. In addition to Wells, Burnley are without another new signing in Jon Walters (knee), while Tom Heaton (shoulder) is set for a long spell out on the sidelines. New arrival Anders Lindegaard will likely challenge for the No. 1 spot in Heaton's absence, but will not be included today, as Nick Pope keeps his spot for the time being.
For Huddersfield, Danny Williams and Steve Mounie (both foot), and Collin Quaner (knee) have all been ruled out. Long-term absentees Jon Gorenc Stankovic (knee) and on-loan Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer (hamstring) also remain sidelined. However, Laurent Depoitre and Rajiv van La Parra have both shaken off muscle strains in order to be in involved, and the former starts, while the latter makes the bench.
Both clubs have had strong starts to the season, and the home side have done especially impressively playing away against top six sides, beating Chelsea and drawing with both Liverpool and Tottenham - shaking off their dreadful away form of last season.
However, their only loss of the season came at home against West Brom, and they will likely face a similar challenge from today's visitors - Huddersfield - who are gaining a reputation for intense pressing and defensive solidity. In fact, only the two Manchester clubs can better Huddersfield's record of three goals conceded in five Premier League games so far this season.
Despite Huddersfield's sensational start - going unbeaten in August in all competitions (WWWD) - the Yorkshire club have stuttered a little of late, and are winless since their first defeat of the season to West Ham at the start of September (LDL).
Both clubs will be also looking to bounce back from being knocked out of the EFL Cup in midweek - Burnley losing out to Leeds on penalties and Huddersfield bowing out to Crystal Palace - handing the Eagles their first win of the season in the process.
The last time these two clubs met in the top flight of English football was in 1971, and their last top-flight meeting at Turf Moor was in 1970! And the Clarets may well be feeling confident of getting a result today, having been beaten by Huddersfield in just three of their last 19 league meetings (W11 D5 L3). Furthermore, 75% of their Premier League points since the start of last season have come at Turf Moor (36 out of 48).
Burnley's centre-half pairing of Ben Mee and James Tarkowski have blocked a combined 26 shots so far this season - more than the combined total of every other Premier League club bar Leicester City (29). Those are impressive stats indeed, but the visitors will hope that a fast start could see them come away with something from this game, as Burnley have only registered three points in the 20 Premier League games since last season in which they conceded the first goal.
There is more evidence that the home side may need to develop a more clinical edge. Scott Arfield has created 35 chances in the league since August 2016 without assisting a goal - the highest of any player in that period. Additionally, Robbie Brady has created seven chances for Ben Mee - the highest total from one player to another this season - but the defender has yet to convert one of those chances.
And that's half-time! Plenty of industry and physicality, but somewhat lacking in quality so far. Wood had a glorious chance to open the scoring from Ward's inch-perfect cross, but contrived to head wide, and clear-cut opportunites have been rather few and far between since then. Clarets boss Sean Dyche may have to inspire his players for the second half if he is to get his 100th managerial win today.
No shots on target so far either, as both teams seem to have cancelled each other out. They have almost been mirror images of each other, both in their set-up and their style of play. It may take a change from the bench to open this game up in the second period.
One of the major tactical differences between the two sides that has perhaps given Burnley a slight edge going forward is the fluidity of their wide players. Arfield and Brady have switched flanks once or twice, and have been able to release the full-backs - Ward particularly - into dangerous crossing positions. Smith and Lowe have not had so much luck for Huddersfield so far. Perhaps they have been told by David Wagner to play a little more conservatively away from home, which would be understandable.
And that's it! It finishes 0-0 as the two sides cancel each other out. There was a chance or two for Wood, while Huddersfield could have broken the deadlock when Ince fired just wide, but in the end neither team had the attacking quality to unlock the other's defence, both of which were very firm and resolute. There was lots of physicality and effort, and while Burnley perhaps edged the game, a draw is not too bad a result for either side.
