Almería vs. Valencia

Twice Valencia had to come back to draw level. Almeria made the early running and had the first shots on goal. It was in the twentieth minute when the deadlock was broken by Pablo Piatti whose left footed shot from close range passed Renan. Valencia struck back fifteen minutes later when Alexis fired a left-footed shot into the top left hand corner. Shortly before half time Negredo headed in a cross from Bruno from the centre of the box into the top left corner, again.

With the score 2-1 in favour of the home team one could not discount David Villa scoring again. It was his goal from a through ball from Joaquin with twenty minutes to go that restored parity.
