Wednesday, November 26th

23:15 CET - After we have taken a breath from all of that action, here's how the standings look after matchday five.

PSG, Inter, Bayern and Real Madrid all sit three points behind, whilst Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Sporting round out the top eight.

22:58 CET - The final whistle has blown across Europe, and what a thrilling night it has been.

A late goal from Jimenez has seen Atletico Madrid come from behind to beat Inter 2-1 in the Spanish capital. Their cross-city rivals needed just the four goals from their star Kylian Mbappe to overcome Olympiacos in a seven-goal thriller.

In Paris, we had eight goals in a back-and-forth game between PSG and Tottenham. Both sides held the lead in the contest, but it was the hosts who eventually put the game to bed, winning 5-3 as Vitinha scored a hat-trick.

Perhaps the biggest clash of the night was between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, two favourites for the crown at the end of the season. It was the home side Arsenal who were better on the night, beating their Bavarian opponents 3-1.

Sporting had a much easier time of it in Lisbon, seeing off Club Brugge 3-0.

21:37 CET - Could we have a shock on the cards in Paris? Tottenham Hotspur, who have been under the cosh against PSG, have broken the deadlock through Richarlison.

21:33 CET - Bayern are back on level terms with Arsenal! Teenager Lennart Karl finds the target for the visitors, what a talent he is, at just 17.

He is not, you will be surprised to hear, the youngest scorer in Champions League history - that record belongs to Ansu Fati.

21:32 CET - Back to the Portuguese capital, where Sporting are now two to the good against Club Brugge.

This time, it's Luis Suarez - not that one - who has hit the back of the net, putting his side in firm control.

21:29 CET - Kylian Mbappe is quite possibly the most in-form player in the world right now.

Just seven minutes after scoring his first, the Frenchman has a hat-trick, putting Real Madrid 3-1 up against Olympiacos, taking all the wind out of the host's sails.

What twists and turns can we expect this evening as we get underway?

21:29 CET - After some huffing and puffing, the deadlock is broken at Stamford Bridge with Jules Kounde scoring an own goal to hand Chelsea a 1-0 lead. You can't say it hasn't been coming; the Blues have also had one goal chalked off!

20:00 CET - With just one hour until kick-off in tonight's late matches, the team news is in across some big matches.

Firstly, from the standout encounter of the evening, as Chelsea host Barcelona, Enzo Maresca has named Estevao and Alejandro Garnacho in his starting lineup ahead of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Which of Estevao, Garnacho and Pedro Neto will play false nine remains to be seen but it is another interesting tactical tweak from the very flexible Maresca.

As for Barcelona, Hansi Flick has left Marcus Rashford and Raphinha on the bench, with both returning from injury.
