The visitors kick us off and we are underway at Elland Road!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League clash between Leeds United and Crystal Palace at Elland Road.
The hosts head into this huge game off the back of a 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest on Tuesday that hoisted them out of the relegation zone. Yet, they remain just two points above the bottom three and could really do with another victory here to further alleviate their fears of dropping back into the second tier.
LEEDS UNITED (4-2-3-1): Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo; Weston McKennie, Marc Roca; Jack Harrison, Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra; Patrick Bamford.
The visitors also picked up maximum points last time out against a relegation rival, with a 94th-minute winner earning a 2-1 triumph over Leicester City last weekend. That was just their first win of 2023 and they are still only three points above the bottom three, meaning another victory here would be hugely important in their fight for survival.
SUBS: Rasmus Kristensen, Sam Greenwood, Liam Cooper, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, Joel Robles, Adam Forshaw, Wilfried Gnonto, Rodrigo Moreno.
SUBS: Jairo Riedewald, Luka Milivojevic, Will Hughes, Nathaniel Clyne, James McArthur, Joseph Whitworth, Jean-Philippe Mateta, James Tomkins, Albert Sambi Lokonga.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-3-3): Sam Johnstone; Joel Ward, Joachim Andersen, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Eberechi Eze, Cheick Oumar Doucoure, Jeffrey Schlupp; Michael Olise, Odsonne Edouard, Jordan Ayew.
The two teams make their way onto the pitch ahead of this huge fixture in the relegation battle.
Gracia has a big job now to pick his side up and get them going again, with them going into half-time surely a touch disheartened not to be ahead. Will they be able to get themselves back in front?
It is Palace who come out on top in this big game at the bottom end of the Premier League as they take a rampant 5-1 victory. They were lucky to go into the break level after a strong first-half Leeds display, with Guehi equalising in added time after Bamford had put the hosts ahead. It was a different story after the interval, though, as Ayew headed them in front before Eze made it 3-1 just two minutes later. Gracia's men collapsed after that, and Edouard got in on the act on 69 minutes before Ayew added his second and Palace's fifth late on.
Hodgson's second win in two games since returning as manager means the Eagles move up to 12th, and crucially six points above the drop zone. For Leeds, their spectacular capitulation deepens their relegation fears, leaving them just two points above the bottom three with eight games left to play.
Thanks for joining us for live coverage of Crystal Palace's 5-1 Premier League win over Leeds United at Elland Road. Goodbye!
