The players are making their way out of the tunnel and onto the pitch!
Napoli are doing well to get into the final third and attack Inter in the wide areas. However, the issue for Spalletti's side is that when the cross comes in from those positions, Osimhen is surrounded by Inter defenders and cannot beat them in the air. Napoli will need to figure out a better strategy in those areas if they want to win this game.
Although we are yet to reach the halfway mark in the season, this is a must-win game for Inter. A defeat could see them go 14 points behind Napoli and potentially out of the title race. Simone Inzaghi’s side are on good form, scoring 16 times in their last five games. They are also boosted by the return of Romelu Lukaku, who has missed 11 league games through injury this season.
Napoli are the only side yet to be defeated in Europe’s top five leagues this season and are dominating almost every game they play in. A win for Luciano Spalletti’s team could see equal the fifth-highest win streak in Serie A history, matching Juventus’ 12 consecutive wins in the 2017/18 season. Victor Osimhen has been prolific so far in the campaign scoring an impressive nine goals in 11 league games, the most in Italy's top division.
That's all for today, goodbye!
Napoli's unbeaten start to their league campaign is now over but they remain at the top of Serie A by five points. Inter close the gap to the leaders to eight points and remain in fourth place. They travel to Monza for their next fixture while Napoli face Sampdoria.
