Sevilla haven’t managed to beat Real Madrid in their last five meetings - since a 3-0 win in September 2018. The did manage to arrest a run of four straight defeats last time out though when they fought for a 2-2 draw away from home.

33'
M. Acuña gets yellow.
32'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
BENZEMA GETS MADRID LEVEL! 1-1! It’s a fortunate goal for the hosts as Militao whacks a powerful shot towards goal from more than 30 years out, which the goalkeeper can only deal with by pushing the ball onto the post. The rebound comes back out to the edge of the six-yard box for Benzema, who gets to it first - turning the ball into the empty net!
29'
Sevilla are in no hurry to put the ball into the penalty area as they attack down the left via Acuna, before turning back and keeping possession in midfield. The ball eventually goes all the way back to Bounou as the visitors look to keep their opponents chasing.
27'
Acuna’s cross from the left is met by the head of Mir - who can only flick it back for a team-mate. Ocampos drives towards the post looking to turn it home but Courtois is quicker in mind and foot, getting to the loose ball first.

21'
Carlos sprays a lovely pass over the top of both the midfield and the defence for Mir to latch onto, which he does with aplomb ahead of Mendy. Unfortunately for Sevilla however - the striker was unable to hold his line as the fourth official’s flag goes up for offside.
19'
Casemiro brings Jordan down cynically with a bodycheck, causing a bit of a fracas just outside of Bounou’s penalty area. Rakitic and Fernando come across to have words with the Brazil international - though the referee sees no need to brandish a card at this time.
18'
Ancelotti’s side have been extremely sloppy at the back, allowing Mir a free header from a set-piece for the first goal before almost doubling their advantage after a sloppy giveaway from the right-back. It won’t be easy for the hosts to get themselves level as Sevilla have only allowed nine goals in 14 games; which leads the division.
16'
Alaba has a strike from a very long way out, setting himself ahead of Rakitic before firing a left-footed effort which sails harmlessly wide of Bounou’s goal.
12'
Rafa Mir has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by M. Acuña.
SEVILLA TAKE THE LEAD! 1-0! It’s a surprisingly simple goal for the visitors as Acuna’s second corner in quick succession finds Mir completely unmarked 12 yards from goal. The striker has time to shape his body and aim his header to the far post - where it beats a diving Courtois!
Acuna's first corner may have been slightly inaccurate, but his follow-up effort is inch-perfect as he finds Mir for the assist on Sevilla's opening goal.
11'
Acuna takes a Sevilla corner from the left looking for a team-mate at the far post, but it’s cleared by Militao before Vinicius turns it behind for a second corner.
9'

5'
Rakitic blasts a shot from a long way out after Ocampos’ cross is blocked by Militao but the former Barcelona midfielder fails to put his effort anywhere near the target.
3'
Real Madrid look comfortable in the early stages controlling the ball in midfield - shifting it from left to right as they look for an opening to penetrate Bounou’s penalty area.

Sevilla get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the LaLiga fixture between Real Madrid and Sevilla!
The league leaders have the chance to go four points clear of second-place Real Sociedad after the Basque side were beaten by Espanyol earlier today. Undefeated in their last five LaLiga matches - winning four in that time - Carlo Ancelotti’s side also lay claim to the most potent attack in Spain, averaging almost 2.5 goals per match.
REAL MADRID XI (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal; Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Luka Modric; Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let’s take a look at the team news - starting with our hosts!
SEVILLA SUBS: Karim Rekik, Marko Dmitrovic, Oussama Idrissi, Oliver Torres, Ludwig Augustinsson, Javi Diaz, Nemanja Gudelj, Munir El Haddadi, Thomas Delaney, Ivan Romero, Oscar Rodriguez.
SEVILLA XI (4-3-3): Yassine Bounou; Gonzalo Montiel, Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Marcos Acuna; Joan Jordan, Fernando, Ivan Rakitic; Lucas Ocampos, Rafa Mir, Alejandro Gomez.
REAL MADRID SUBS: Jesus Vallejo, Nacho, Marcelo, Andriy Lunin, Federico Valverde, Luka Jovic, Lucas Vazquez, Isco, Mariano, Luis Lopez, Antonio Blanco, Eduardo Camavinga.
A win today for Julen Lopetegui’s side would see them overtake their opponents and occupy top spot after 14 matches - thanks in part to a six-match undefeated streak that has seen the Rojiblancos win four of those ties. Usually known for their attacking prowess, Sevilla’s success so far this year has come from defensive solidity; keeping two clean sheets in their last three matches and allowing a league-low nine goals.
With both sides able to call upon creative players going forward, the second half will no doubt feature further scoring. As legs begin to tire, Ancelotti will be able to inject pace into his midfield via Valverde and Camavinga, while the experienced Vazquez could come in for relief of Asensio. Sevilla are able to call upon players in a similar area of the field, with Denmark international Delaney as well as Torres waiting to be called from the bench.
Real Madrid take to the pitch again on Wednesday, when they face Athletic Bilbao in LaLiga. Sevilla have a match against Cordoba on the same day in the Copa del Rey, ahead of a weekend meeting with Villarreal.
That concludes our commentary of the LaLiga fixture between Real Madrid and Sevilla! We hope you’ve enjoyed it.
