We're under way at Wembley.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup semi-final clash between Leicester City and Southampton at Wembley.
Leicester City can reach the FA Cup final for the first time since the 1968/69 season with a victory this evening. The Foxes have beaten Stoke City, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion and Manchester United to reach the last four of the competition. Brendan Rodgers' men enter the contest off the back of successive defeats to Manchester City and West Ham United in the Premier League. Therefore, they must now raise their standards against the Saints to take their place in the final.
Southampton last reached the FA Cup final in the 2002/03 campaign when they were beaten by Arsenal. They also progressed to the last four in the 2016/17 season under Mark Hughes, only to lose out to Chelsea. Ralph Hasenhuttl's men have beaten Shrewsbury Town, Arsenal, Wolves and Bournemouth to progress to the last four, but the Foxes present their biggest challenge of the competition thus far. Their recent form has been patchy to say the least, losing 3-0 to West Brom last time out. The Saints need their best effort tonight.
LEICESTER CITY SUBS: James Maddison, Marc Albrighton, Danny Ward, Daniel Amartey, Cengiz Under, Hamza Choudhury, Nampalys Mendy, Dennis Praet, Luke Thomas.
SOUTHAMPTON (4-4-2): Fraser Forster; Kyle Walker-Peters, Jan Bednarek, Jannik Vestergaard, Ryan Bertrand; Moussa Djenepo, James Ward-Prowse, Ibrahima Diallo, Stuart Armstrong; Danny Ings, Nathan Redmond.
SOUTHAMPTON SUBS: Alex McCarthy, Jack Stephens, Che Adams, Mohammed Salisu, Nathan Tella, Theo Walcott, Daniel N'Lundulu, Will Ferry, Alexandre Jankewitz.
The Saints have been too passive and have not been able to work Danny Ings into the contest. Ralph Hasenhuttl needs a spark from his team in the second half.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Leicester will face off against Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 15 at Wembley. The Foxes return to action in the Premier League on Thursday at home to West Brom. Southampton have to pick themselves up for their next outing on the road to Tottenham on Wednesday.
