Apart from Lewandowski, all of Bayern's attacking starters are on the bench now. That may save Schalke the embarrassment of 10-0.
83'
Muller now gets the chance to join his team-mates on the sidelines as Zirkzee enters the game.
82'
J. Zirkzee enters the game and replaces T. Müller.
B. Stambouli gets yellow.
Stambouli is booked for a foul in the build-up to that goal. He clipped Tolisso and the referee makes sure he is punished after the Bayern celebrations.
81'
J. Musiala has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by R. Lewandowski.
Lewandowski showed the other side to his game tonight. Only one goal for him, which is rare, but he now has two assists after that crossfield pass to Musiala.
BAYERN 8-0 SCHALKE - Eight-nil. Incredible football from Bayern and they could get ten if Schalke are not careful. Lewandowski played in youngster Musiala, and he did the rest. He turned his marker inside and out before firing past Fahrmann.
79'
S. Skrzybski enters the game and replaces Gonçalo Paciência.
T. Becker enters the game and replaces A. Harit.
Paciencia has endured a quiet night and he is replaced by Skrzybski for the final 11 minutes.
More changes for Schalke as Harit comes off, with Becker taking his place.
77'
Schalke are still trying to get the ball down and play, but it is not working, and they really have offered nothing going forward tonight.
75'
Sane and Gnabry now have their feet up in the stands. A job well done chaps, but Schalke cannot expect Bayern to take their foot off the gas.
73'
C. Richards enters the game and replaces J. Boateng.
Gnabry also makes way, with Musiala getting 20 minutes to impress.
Flick also makes a change at the back as Boateng is given a rest, with Richards stepping into the heart of defence.
Sane's goal was his last involvement as he makes way for Cuisance.
72'
M. Cuisance enters the game and replaces L. Sané.
J. Musiala enters the game and replaces S. Gnabry.

Description
71'
L. Sané has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Kimmich.
BAYERN 7-0 SCHALKE - Sane gets his goal and boy does he deserve it. Kimmich's pass allowed him space and time to pick his spot, and the forward glides his shot into the far corner. So that is a debut goal and two assists against his former club.
Kimmich again with a defence-splitting pass to tee up a team-mate. He has played fantastically well in the middle of midfield.
69'
T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by R. Lewandowski.
If there is a better assist this season then I want to see it! Lewandowski's pass will be watched over and over again.
BAYERN 6-0 SCHALKE - Muller this time, and it comes after a rabona from Lewandowski. The forward should have scored, but he delayed his shot and was forced to turn around and cross. His rabona found Muller and the German has smashed the ball past Fahrmann. Just incredible from the reigning champions.
66'
Wagner makes another change as Raman replaces Matondo.
65'
B. Raman enters the game and replaces R. Matondo.
J. Kimmich gets yellow.
Kimmich becomes the first Bayern player to be booked, for a late challenge.
61'
Sane may be brought off to protect him from injury, but he deserves to stay out there and try to grab his first goal for the club.
59'
S. Gnabry has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by L. Sané.
Sane now has two assists, both of them for Gnabry goals. His pace gets him away from the Schalke backline, and they are struggling to keep up. By the time they get to him, the ball is in the back of the net.
BAYERN 5-0 SCHALKE - HAT-TRICK FOR GNABRY! The winger has not put a foot wrong tonight, and he benefits from some more good play from Sane. The ex-Manchester City forward charged towards goal, turned his marker and played in Gnabry. He kept his shot low and nutmegged Fahrmann before turning to thank his new team-mate. That partnership is doing to be incredible to watch this season.
53'
Schalke get a rare chance to enter the Bayern box but Sule blocks the cross from Harit. The home side then clear the danger from a corner, but that attack was enough to get a round of applause from coach Wagner.
51'
C. Tolisso enters the game and replaces L. Goretzka.
Here come the Bayern changes. Goretzka has a goal to his name and his night is over, Tolisso replaces him in the middle of the park.
50'
Fahrmann has now picked the ball out of his net four times. He has had no chance with any of the Bayern goals, and he needs to try and keep his cool.
47'
S. Gnabry has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by L. Sané.
BAYERN 4-0 SCHALKE - New half, same outcome. The pace of Sane and Gnabry causes chaos at the back and the home side grab their first goal of the second half. Sane raced onto a pass before playing in Gnabry. Schalke keeper Fahrmann had already committed himself, meaning Gnabry had a simple tap-in.
Sane has been unlucky not to grab a goal himself but that pass to Gnabry was weighted perfectly and he deserves plenty of praise.
46'
We are back underway in Munich!
45'
HALF-TIME - BAYERN 3-0 SCHALKE.
44'
Lewandowski is punished for an elbow, but weirdly he is not shown a yellow card. While trying to protect the ball, he has caught Schalke's Harit in the face with a stray arm. Free-kick is given, and it helps Schalke keep the scoreline at 3-0.
39'
Schalke have managed to stem the flow of attacks for the first time tonight, but this could just be Bayern feeling the pace. If it does stay 3-0, then the visitors have done well in fairness.
36'
Gnabry and Lewandowski play a lovely one-two in the area before the former goes for goal. However, the linesman flags for offside and the Schalke defence can breathe a sigh of relief.
34'
Schalke cannot get the ball to stick so every time they clear their lines, they are just facing more and more traffic. Bayern look in the mood for more goals so do not be surprised if the scoreline changes before the interval.
32'
If this is Bayern without match practice, then I worry for the rest of the division. One week of training and they are running riot after the first 30 minutes.
31'
Penalty goal scored by R. Lewandowski for Bayern Munich!
BAYERN 3-0 SCHALKE - Lewandowksi is off the mark for the season, and that does not come as a surprise. The Poland star remained calm for the penalty and sent Fahrmann the wrong way.
30'
A. Schöpf enters the game and replaces S. Serdar.
O. Kabak gets yellow.
Kabak has just tripped Lewandowski from behind, and the latter will now take the spot-kick.
Wagner has made an early change, with Serdar leaving the field and Schopf coming on in his place.
Kabak is booked for that challenge and he can have no complaints. Stupid challenge with Lewandowski about to shoot.
21'
Bayern two-nil to the good inside 20 minutes, this could be a long night for Schalke.
19'
L. Goretzka has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by T. Müller.
BAYERN 2-0 SCHALKE - GOAALLL! Goretzka doubles Bayern's lead with a low drive from the edge of the box. Flick's troops worked their way into the box before Goretzka was teed up on the edge of the box. The midfielder kept his body over the ball and with no backlift, he drilled his shot past Fahrmann.
Muller, as always, gets into a good position and looks for his team-mate. Goretzka was the benefactor this time and he punished Schalke for their sloppy marking.
17'
Sule is lucky as he scuffs his clearance the wrong way and nearly scores an own goal. Luckily, he has Neuer behind him who dives on the ball to make sure the danger is averted.
16'
Schalke win a free-kick on the edge of the box, big chance to put pressure on Bayern here...
15'
Lewandowski has had very few touches so far, but the pace of Sane and Gnabry is allowing them to run in behind the former Borussia Dortmund man.
12'
Schalke winger Matondo is looking dangerous when he chases the long ball but team-mate Paciencia has had minimal service so far.
10'
David Wagner's men know this is going to be a tough night. They are trying to counter, but the game could be out of their reach before long.
8'
After watching the first few minutes, Bayern certainly do not look like a team who have not played a pre-season match. The passing is crisp, they are sharp in the tackle, and they could have already scored two goals. The champions back with a bang!
4'
S. Gnabry has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Kimmich.
Kimmich is now tasked with controlling midfield after Thiago left the club this week. That is a superb start for him as he picks out Gnabry with ease before the winger fired home.
BAYERN 1-0 SCHALKE - WHAT A GOALLLL!!! Gnabry latches onto a throughball, turns Stambouli and wraps his foot around the ball to find the top corner. Fahrmann has no chance in goal, and that is a perfect way to open your account for the season.
2'
Schalke make a fast start to the game as Neuer is forced into making an early save, but the home side clear the danger from a corner.
1'
Bayern get us underway in their traditional red kit, while Schalke are wearing their home royal blue shirt with white shorts.
Hello and welcome to tonight's live coverage of the clash between Bayern Munich and Schalke from the Allianz Arena. The home side cruised to the Bundesliga title last season and will fancy their chances of getting off to a winning start.
Hansi Flick's side secured their eighth successive league crown last season while also completing an incredible treble. They have had less of a break than their rivals, with the Bavarians skipping any pre-season friendlies. Schalke avoided relegation last time out, but their new-look squad will be determined to prove a point in the coming months.
BAYERN (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Benjamin Pavard, Jerome Boateng, Niklas Sule, Lucas Hernandez; Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski.
SUBS: Corentin Tolisso, Jamal Musiala, Joshua Zirkzee, Alphonso Davies, Javi Martinez, Chris Richards, Michael Cuisance, Alexander Nubel, Sven Ulreich.
SCHALKE (4-2-3-1): Ralf Fahrmann; Sebastian Rudy, Benjamin Stambouli, Ozan Kabak, Bastian Oczipka; Suat Serdar, Nabil Bentaleb; Rabbi Matondo, Mark Uth, Amine Harit; Goncalo Paciencia.
SUBS: Steven Skrzybski, Hamza Mendyl, Benito Raman, Vedad Ibisevic, Alessandro Schopf, Timo Becker, Markus Schubert, Malick Thiaw, Ahmed Kutucu.
Bayern will be without Thiago Alcantara after his move to Liverpool, but fans will get the chance to see Leroy Sane in action after he departed Manchester City. Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nubel joined Bayern earlier this year, but the arrival of Goncalo Paciencia and Vedad Ibisevic should give the team from Gelsenkirchen a new dimension in attack.
The two teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is moments away!
Flick may make changes on the hour mark due to Bayern's lack of preparation, but Schalke need to make life harder for the home side. Gnabry was a level above in the first 45 minutes, but once they keep him quiet, there is still Lewandowski, Muller and Sane to come into the attack.
That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!
Schalke boss Wagner will be worried after that display. They were expected to lose tonight, no question. But the manner of the defeat is an issue. No resistance and it looked like some players gave up when the going got tough. They will be hoping for a quick response and they may write it off as a freak result, considering they are playing last season's treble winners.
