Spurs push men forward desperately for one last attack, but there's no time! They'll have to settle for a point.
90' +2
There are four minutes left for either side to grab a winner! At the moment, it's Spurs who look more likely. Lamela takes a left-footed pop from the outside of the box but a Watford man gets in the way.
90'
J. Holebas gets yellow.
D. Alli gets yellow.
Holebas also sees yellow for his part in the spat. This game's getting more fractious by the minute.
Alli is fouled by Holebas and manages to talk himself into the book as Spurs take exception to all these free-kicks.
89'
D. Rose gets yellow.
Rose is next to be booked for a foul on Hughes. The yellow cards are racking up as tension rises around the ground.

Femenia is booked for bringing down Rose as Spurs search for a winner. The free-kick comes to nothing.
87'
That's a vital moment for Spurs, who now have the momentum to possibly win this game. It's nice for Alli too, who'd had a quiet game before that.
ALLI'S GOAL STANDS! It looked like Alli might have handled the ball with his shoulder, but nope. There's a brief moment of confusion as the monitor in the ground initially shows 'no goal' until the ref clears things up - it has been allowed. What a VARce.
86'
D. Alli has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
85'
Watford make that change. Hughes will replace Pereyra for the last five minutes.
84'
R. Pereyra gets yellow.

Minute
Description
79'
It's another Spurs corner down their right. Another Watford clearance. Spurs have ten minutes to avoid another damaging defeat.

Deulofeu takes the free-kick. The Spaniard gets the angle right but not the power as Gazzaniga puts up his hands to claim.
77'
M. Sissoko gets yellow.
Sissoko gets a yellow card for tripping Deulofeu as he tricked his way past the Frenchman. Watford have a promising-looking free-kick.

Watford substitution now. Janmaat, who took a minor knock during that run, is replaced by Femenia.
70'
T. Ndombélé enters the game and replaces H. Winks.
Spurs make their final throw of the die. Winks off, Ndombele on.
69'
Janmaat plays a one-two with Pereyra and bustles into the box! Spurs manage to close the angle and he can't shoot though. The flag eventually goes up for offside against Watford.
67'
We're entering the final quarter of the game. Spurs still need a goal. Deulofeu unwisely tries to take on Spurs' midfield by himself and loses out.
65'
Winks lofts a straightforward ball into the box for Kane and Kabasele manages to tangle his feet, hashing the clearance. Kane almost capitalises but it's stabbed out for a corner, which Watford clear.
63'
É. Lamela enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
Spurs change. Lucas, who's faded since half-time, is replaced by Lamela.
Doucoure latches onto a loose ball as Spurs can't keep it down at the back and drags another shot wide. The warning signs are there - Spurs can't afford to leave the back door open for another Watford goal.
61'
Deulofeu dribbles into the box from the left and rolls a tame shot wide of the right-hand post. No threat to Spurs there, but this game has definitely got more open since Spurs' half-time change.
59'
Son gets loose down the channel and fizzes a cross back from the goalline but Foster comes off his line to claim it.
55'
Son gets caught offside from Alderweireld's pinpoint pass from the back. Spurs' addition of the winger has really made them look more threatening.
54'
Watford push towards Spurs' goal but Gazzaniga is there to stop them going further. Doucoure beats Aurier for pace and Alderweireld sweeps up.
52'
Kane cuts inside on his left foot and lets fly from range. It's blocked. Pereyra beats Kane to the rebound and wins a foul off Spurs' captain.
51'
Son's direct running has done more for Spurs in five minutes than they managed in the entire first half. He repeats his previous move, this time going down in the box. No penalty.
46'
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces D. Sánchez.
No messing about from Spurs. Pochettino makes an attacking change at half-time: Sanchez off, Son on. Spurs will presumably switch to four at the back.
Watford get the second half going. Can the visitors hold on for their first win at Tottenham's new stadium?
45' +4

HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 0-1 WATFORD
45' +2
Spurs are playing with hardly any urgency at the moment. They're borderline soporific. Aurier picks up the easy ball from Alderweireld and Holebas blocks the cross. Aurier tries again to beat the Greek, who shepherds the ball out for a goal-kick.
45'
Doucoure has a brush with Vertonghen and stays down. The ref originally lets play go before calling it back, to Spurs' chagrin. There will be four added minutes in this first half.
43'
Pereyra bursts down the right for Watford and Alderweireld comes across to stop him. There's more chance of Watford scoring next than Spurs doing so at the moment.
42'
Spurs swing the ball in from right and from left, yet the result remains the same. Doucoure almost breaks down the left for Watford but he can't prevent the ball from going out for a throw.
39'
Alderweireld is Spurs' main attacking threat at the moment. The Belgian lumps another deep cross into the box from the right. Moura can't keep his header in play.
36'
Kabasele heads away Alderweireld's delivery. Kane's cross is next to be cleared. Holebas punts the ball out for a throw on the left, and Aurier can't latch onto Rose's cross-field pass. Watford goal-kick.
35'
Alderweireld pumps a long ball upfield under pressure and it bounces through to Foster. Foster pumps it straight back to Spurs. It's almost as if Watford don't want possession.
33'
Watford over-commit a bit with the ball and leave themselves open to a Spurs counter. Winks almost gets chance to charge into the box but Dawson nicks the ball with a sliding tackle.
32'
Spurs look short of ideas, and Watford understandably aren't keen to give them any. Aurier crosses in again and Doucoure is in the way.
30'
Spurs pop the ball around nicely, finding Lucas on the edge of the box. The Brazilian's crowded out by Watford players though. Foster tricks Alli with a clever Cruyff turn to clear.
28'
The home fans get annoyed at Watford's timewasting over the throw-in. Lucas gets a crossing opportunity from a one-two down the right and Foster comes out to claim.
27'
Spurs inertly move the ball from side to side, giving Watford plenty of time to shuttle across. Where's the zip? Alderweireld gets impatient and swings a cross in, handing Watford a throw on the opposite side.
26'
Spurs pass the ball from left to right, trying and failing to get through Watford. Watford get the ball and counter through Doucoure, who can't find a teammate in the box.

23'
Alli pops a tame shot straight at Foster outside the box, controlling the ball with his right foot and hitting it with his left. Foster drops low to make a comfortable save.
22'
Lucas powers down the inside-left channel, passing outside to Rose. Spurs can't keep the ball though and Foster clears upfield. It's one-way traffic at the moment, but the traffic's barely moving.
21'
Spurs manage to work the ball out of their defensive third, escaping Watford's press. Sissoko promotly passes the ball straight to Doucoure, prompting groans from the crowd. This might be a long game for Spurs.
18'
Watford are quite content to let Spurs dominate possession. Aurier passes in to Kane, who loses out. Watford counter through Deulofeu, who holds the ball up and wins a foul from Rose.
16'
Spurs still have the ball. Aurier gets free down the right and lofts a cross in. Watford can't clear their lines and Lucas has a shot blocked. Spurs take the corner short to Rose who is blocked off in the box by Pereyra. No penalty, despite Rose's protests.
15'
Spurs are finding it hard to get through Watford's wall of men at the moment. Rose fires the ball against Kabasele and Janmaat clears.
14'
Deulofeu steps up to take the free-kick and wins a corner for Watford down their left. Holebas delivers an in-swinger but Spurs get it away and eventually win a foul.
13'
D. Sánchez gets yellow.
Sanchez is booked for diving in on Deulofeu right outside Spurs' box. It's deserved too.
11'
Sissoko fires over from just outside the box after Kane lays off to the Frenchman. That's better from Spurs.
10'
Spurs haven't got a foothold in the game yet. Sanchez plays a misplaced pass straight to Watford. Thankfully for him the visitors' through-ball is to no one in a navy shirt.
6'
A. Doucouré has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by D. Janmaat.
GOAL! 1-0 WATFORD! This is typical Spurs. Cathcart pings a fantastic cross-field ball to Janmaat, who beats Rose with his first touch. Janmaat curls a wonderful cross into the box and Doucoure is there to tap it past Gazzaniga!
Janmaat really destroyed Rose there. This is a horrendous start for Spurs, who find themselves in the position of having to chase the game already.
4'
Deulofeu enters the game and replaces D. Welbeck.
Welbeck walks gingerly off the pitch. Deulofeu replaces him up front for Watford.
1'
And we're off! Spurs get things underway - they're in their usual home kit, while Watford are wearing their all-navy away strip.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Watford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The international break offered vital respite for Spurs after their 3-0 shellacking at the hands of Brighton showcased their dismal recent form. Mauricio Pochettino's side now have the chance to redeem themselves against a Watford team three points adrift at the bottom of the table.
Watford remain winless so far this season, with three draws and five losses to their name - the Hornets have only endured three longer winless runs at the start of a season in their entire league history. It'd be just typical Spurs if they got a victory today, right?
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (3-4-2-1): Paulo Gazzaniga; Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen; Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Danny Rose; Dele Alli, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane (c).
SUBS: Juan Foyth, Son Heung-Min, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier, Tanguy Ndombele, Brandon Austin, Ben Davies.

SUBS: Heurelho Gomes, Will Hughes, Ismaila Sarr, Gerard Deulofeu, Adam Masina, Andre Gray, Kiko Femenia.
To put this Spurs slide into context, they've lost more games in all competitions in 2019 than any other Premier League side (17). The last calendar year in which Spurs lost more games was 2008 (19), when they were languishing in mid-table. Can Spurs revive themselves in the second half?
That 1-1 draw leaves Spurs 7th in the Premier League table with three wins, three draws and three defeats from their first nine games. With Leicester and Chelsea winning, they're holding onto the coattails of the top four for now. Watford stay bottom, four points from safety.
Spurs' attentions now return to Europe before they travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool next weekend, in a repeat of last season's Champions League final. Watford will hope for a win against Bournemouth at home next week. That's all for now. Goodbye!
