Penalty goal scored by R. Jiménez for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
GOAL! 1-1 WOLVES! They can! Jimenez steps up and coolly rolls the ball past Pope after sending the keeper the wrong way. It looks like Wolves' unbeaten record will remain.
90' +2
Wolves probe for a while without success as Burnley hunker down. Jonny curls the ball towards the far post and Pope is claiming that all day long.
90'
There will be *five* added minutes here! Can Wolves grab a late equaliser?
88'
A. Lennon gets yellow.
Traore shimmies between Lennon and Pieters, forcing Lennon to haul him down again. It's a crude tactic by Burnley but they rightly prefer to give away the foul than have Traore running past them - Wolves do nothing with the free-kick.
87'
Neves' free-kick doesn't beat the first man. That was woeful. The midfielder looks to make up for it by having a pop at goal in the next phase of play, but Pope drops low to claim it.
86'
J. Hendrick enters the game and replaces D. McNeil.
McNeil trots off before Wolves take the free-kick - Hendrick will take his place for these final few minutes.
85'
Lennon and Pieters double up again on Traore to block his progress. This time the winger wins a free-kick by the right touchline.
84'
A brilliant ball behind the Burnley defence gives Jota sight of goal but he can't get away from Lowton! Lowton rushes in to prevent the shot. Burnley are hanging on in these closing stages.
83'
Traore tries to find a way past Lennon and Pieters but finds the door firmly closed. McNeil has been switched to the right flank by Burnley, presumably to counter Traore's threat.
Minute
Description
82'
Mee gets just a touch on Jonny's inswinging cross to stop Jimenez getting on the end of it. Pope gratefully comes out to claim it.
80'
Burnley are happy to accept a corner down their right, won by Rodriguez. Patricio pushes McNeil's corner away and Wolves look to counter. Neto wanders inside, looking a bit lost, before the ball's worked out to Traore. His cross is headed away by Lowton.
78'
J. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces A. Barnes.
Barnes won't be adding further to his goalscoring tally today. He's replaced up front by Rodriguez.
76'
Adama Traoré enters the game and replaces M. Doherty.
Known speedster Traore replaces Doherty on Wolves' right flank. Can he come up with the goods late on?
Both sides are preparing changes - Rodriguez is warming up for Burnley, while Traore will look to inject some serious pace for Wolves.
75'
Wolves are leaving a few more openings at the back as they push forward. Wood almost finds Barnes with a sliding pass between two Wolves centre-backs but it's a touch too powerful.
73'
Westwood has his pocket picked by Boly on the edge of Wolves' box. Wolves spring forward and Neves has another long-range effort blocked. Cork clears Jonny's cross from the left.
72'
Wolves are ramping up the possession now as they go in search of an equaliser. Jota tries to switch play to the opposite flank but Lowton gets in the way.
70'
Even at this stage, Burnley's positional discipline is brilliant. Their two banks of four are making it hard for Wolves to break them down. Neto and Doherty get into a spot of confusion as they both attack the same ball, giving Burnley an easy clearance.
68'
Wolves run with menace towards Burnley's box again until Tarkowski hooks it clear. Neto makes a good first impression by skipping past a few Burnley players to feed Doherty, whose cross has too much power on it for a teammate to reach.
67'
Pedro Neto enters the game and replaces M. Gibbs-White.
Wolves also make a change. Gibbs-White goes off for the 19-year-old Portuguese winger Neto. It'll be interesting to see what he can do.
66'
A. Lennon enters the game and replaces J. Guðmundsson.
Gudmundsson's game is over. He's replaced on Burnley's right flank by Lennon.
65'
Jimenez's clever ball into the box finds no one in an old gold shirt. It's time for another water break as we enter the final quarter of the game.
61'
Neither side is achieving much right now. The punishing summer heat is starting to take its toll. There may be more changes soon.
59'
L. Dendoncker enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
J. Tarkowski gets yellow.
There's the Wolves change - Moutinho off, Dendoncker on. Maybe Dendoncker will give them some more energy in midfield.
Tarkowski is booked for a bad foul on Jota. Mee shows what he thinks of the decision by pushing over Jimenez but the ref decides to let him off.
58'
Burnley create nothing from the freekick and Wolves try to capitalise. They can't make much either, though. Westwood goes upfield and blasts a shot over.
56'
Wolves are readying Dendoncker down on the touchline. It looks like he's going to replace Moutinho. Meanwhile, Burnley have a free-kick.
55'
Jonny nods a header from the centre of the box wide when Moutinho curls in an effort. Wolves haven't created a clear-cut chance all day.
54'
Wolves unconvincingly clear another Burnley cross. McNeil's attempt to drill it back in is blocked by Bennett then Pieters fires over.
52'
Wolves are looking to assert themselves now. Burnley get back in numbers to block Gibbs-White's cut-back but can't get rid of the ball entirely. Doherty's cross into the box is just too high for Jimenez to reach.
49'
Gibbs-White slashes a shot just wide of Pope's left-hand post after some nice Wolves build-up play. Gibbs-White claims a penalty but the ref isn't convinced.
47'
Wolves look to pull things level straight away. The home side work the ball to Jota wide left, but he gets his delivery horribly wrong. Things haven't clicked for Jota yet so far this season.
45' +2
Wolves repeat their short corner routine from earlier to the same negligible effect. Jimenez retrieves it and has a shot from outside the box blocked. Bennett's hopeful ball back into the box finds Jimenez again, who this time blazes over. That'll be it for now.
HALF-TIME: WOLVES 0-1 BURNLEY
45' +1
Wolves build up play patiently, forcing Tarkowski to slide across Jota to put the ball out for a throw. Wolves get a corner shortly after. What can they do with this?
45'
Wolves might get one more chance before half-time. There will be two minutes of added time in this half.
Wolves restart the game for the second half.
43'
Wood is called offside when he drifts behind Bennett into the channels. Burnley are clearly trying to stretch Wolves' back three with their movement.
42'
Lowton is lucky not to be booked when he cynically brings down Jonny who'd beaten him to the ball.
40'
Westwood floats the corner in. Tarkowski nods it back towards goal from the far post but he can't get enough power on it to worry Patricio, who claims comfortably.
39'
Gudmundsson delivers a left-footed cross from the right. Coady beats Barnes to it and heads it out for another Burnley corner.
38'
Jimenez wins a rare header but Tarkowski switches play well, sending Burnley up the other end. Gudmundsson has a shot blocked and Doherty gets there before McNeil can follow up.
37'
Boly wins a free-kick as Barnes puts his hand on the Wolves defender's shoulder. It's clear what Burnley's tactic is, and it's working for the most part.
36'
Gibbs-White nips in to intercept a pass from Barnes towards Cork and Cork brings him down for the foul. It's a little late but not worthy of a yellow card.
34'
Wolves are clearly the more technical side but it's serving them no good currently. They win a corner down the right and Doherty nods high and wide.
30'
Burnley still look threatening. Wood drags a shot wide of Patricio's right-hand post after getting in behind Boly.
29'
Gibbs-White presents himself to receive the corner short but Wolves can't do anything with it as Neves' shot is blocked. There are a few groans from Wolves fans at the moment.
27'
Gudmundsson curls a cross in from the right but Wolves clear it and counter. Jota is forced wide, but he passes back to Gibbs-White whose ball in is headed out for a corner by Tarkowski.
25'
There's a brief delay as Lowton gets treatment and all the players take a necessary drinks break. It's searing weather in Wolverhampton. Thankfully Lowton looks fine.
23'
Jota shrugs off Gudmundsson and blasts a shot against Tarkowski. Jonny follows up but is beaten to the ball by Lowton, who goes to ground for good measure. Burnley free-kick.
21'
Jota picks up the ball deep and almost slips Jimenez through before Mee and Pieters combine to crowd the striker out. That's better from Wolves.
19'
Wolves need to recover quickly from that Barnes goal, which was very much against the run of play. They're in for a tough game in what is sapping heat.
13'
A. Barnes has scored a goal for Burnley! Assist by D. McNeil.
GOAL! 1-0 BURNLEY! Barnes has done it again! It's a simple goal after Burnley knock a ball forward and Wolves can't clear it. Barnes chests it down, takes it on the half-volley and smashes it past Patricio.
McNeil can claim the assist as he's the one who nodded the ball down for Barnes. Boly didn't get enough power into his header to clear it and Wolves have been punished.
12'
Barnes is a canny player. The striker holds up the ball well for Burnley and wins a free-kick on the edge of his own half. Lowton takes it but Wolves head it away and Jonny wins a foul off Lowton.
10'
A rogue Burnley backpass almost sends Jimenez away but the Mexican's touch is too heavy. Down the other end, Barnes flashes a shot wide after Lowton races upfield with a few one-twos.
8'
Wolves switch the play around nicely, looking for an opening. Jonny finds some space down the left to whip in a cross but it bounces harmlessly out of play for a goal-kick.
6'
Wolves are looking lively in these early stages. Moutinho feeds Gibbs-White who beats Pieters and looks to bear down on the Burnley goal. Mee comes across to clear.
2'
Burnley's recent goalscoring hero Barnes gets an early shot away, a left-footed effort from outside the box. Nothing Patricio can't handle though.
1'
Ref Craig Pawson blows his whistle and Burnley get this game underway!
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League match between Wolves and Burnley on this sunny day at Molineux.
Wolves oddly start this game in the Premier League's relegation zone despite their strong start to the season. The home side remain unbeaten in England as well as Europe, and face a Burnley side who narrowly lost away to Arsenal last week.
This match is the first time Wolves and Burnley have faced each other as established top flight sides since February 1976, when Wolves won 3-2. Nowadays, these two teams are known for keeping it tight so another scoreline like that would be more than welcome here.
WOLVES (3-5-2): Rui Patricio; Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady (c), Willy Boly; Matt Doherty, Morgan Gibbs-White, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Jonny; Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota.
SUBS: Jesus Vallejo, Pedro Neto, Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Vinagre, Adama Traore, John Ruddy, Patrick Cutrone.
SUBS: Charlie Taylor, Jeff Hendrick, Joe Hart, Aaron Lennon, Jay Rodriguez, Kevin Long, Matej Vydra.
BURNLEY (4-4-2): Nick Pope; Matthew Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee (c), Erik Pieters; Johann Gudmundsson, Jack Cork, Ashley Westwood, Dwight McNeil; Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes.
The two sides take to the Molineux pitch - Wolves are in their usual old gold shirts, black shirts and black socks. Burnley are sporting their sky blue away kit.
That draw lifts Burnley to sixth place with four points from their opening three games. They would have been third if they'd won. Wolves are a point back in 15th after three consecutive draws. They're the only side other than rock-bottom Watford not to have won yet, but they'll rise up the table soon enough.
Wolves' attentions will now turn to the second leg of their Europa League play-off tie against Torino, while Burnley host Sunderland in the EFL Cup midweek. It's still early days, but both sides look like they'll be thorns in the biggest teams' sides once again this year. That's all for now. Goodbye!
