Hello and welcome to our live minute-by-minute coverage of this UEFA Champions League Group B clash between Tottenham and Inter at Wembley Stadium.
Tottenham have it all to do to get out of their Champions League group. Spurs currently sit third in Group B after a poor start to their European campaign and need to beat Inter today to have any chance of qualifying. Even if Spurs do win, they'll still need to better Inter's result on Matchday 6 - no easy task, as their final game is away to Barcelona. Still, given the manner in which Spurs ended Chelsea's unbeaten run in the league this past weekend, they may fancy their chances.
Inter won't just fall victim to Spurs' desires though. The Nerazzurri look revitalised under Luciano Spalletti and fully deserve their current knock-out round spot after dispatching Spurs 2-1 at San Siro back in September. All they need to qualify is a draw today, and it's well within their capability to get it.
TOTTENHAM (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris (c); Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies; Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks; Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Dele Alli; Harry Kane.
SUBS: Paulo Gazzaniga, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker-Peters, Eric Dier, Son Heung-Min, Christian Eriksen, Fernando Llorente.
INTER (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D'Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Kwadwo Asamoah; Matías Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic; Matteo Politano, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Mauro Icardi (c).
SUBS: Miranda, Borja Valero, Keita, Lautaro Martínez, Antonio Candreva, Andrea Ranocchia, Daniele Padelli.
The Champions League anthem blares around Wembley as the two teams line up. It never fails to rouse excitement. Spurs are playing in their traditional white shirts, although with white shorts tonight; Inter are wearing their famous blue and black.
Tottenham have played well in the first half of this match and clearly believe qualification is possible for them. They've tested Inter, most notably through Winks' shot, but the Italians have for the most part stood firm, restricting Spurs to half-chances. Spurs have 45 minutes to find a goal.
This result leaves Spurs level with Inter on seven points in Group B, although crucially also in second place due to their superior head-to-head record. Barcelona have already secured first place in the group after beating PSV 2-1 in Eindhoven.
All to play for for Spurs then, who have to match Inter's result on Matchday 6. With Inter playing PSV at home and Spurs playing at the Camp Nou, it will be a hard task, but you wouldn't put it past this Spurs side. For now, Spurs move on to the North London derby against Arsenal, while Inter face Roma and Juve in their next two. The next two weeks will whizz by. That's all for now. Goodbye!
