Roma are knocking the ball around their defence as the game edges towards the end. They will certainly feel they should have got more from this game.
90' +1
The fourth official has signalled for four minutes of additional time.

The Roma fans deserve credit as their support continues late into the game despite their side looking set for defeat. It certainly will not be an easy match for whoever travels to the Olimpico in the knockout stages.

Kroos clips an aerial ball into Marcelo just inside the box and the full-back attempts a spectacular effort. However, it whistles past the post and poses no threat to Olsen's goal.

77'
M. Díaz enters the game and replaces K. Benzema.
Benzema has put in a superb shift this evening and earns a rest for the final stages of the game, with Mariano introduced as his replacement.
73'
Di Francesco will face a crucial week if the score stays like this. Speculation suggested he could have just two games to save his job, including this one, and things do not get any easier as Roma tackle Inter at the weekend.
69'
R. Karsdorp enters the game and replaces N. Zaniolo.
Zaniolo does indeed make way and Karsdorp enters the game as Roma's last change.
64'
A. Ćorić enters the game and replaces S. Nzonzi.
An attack-minded change for Roma as young talent Coric, regarded by some as the heir to Modric's role in the Croatia national side, takes the place of N'Zonzi.
63'
Benzema escapes his marker and heads at goal, forcing a stunning save from Olsen, but the offside flag is raised.
61'
SAVE! Real Madrid are firing on all cylinders now and surge forward with a dangerous counter, with Bale once again stretching his legs, before the ball is cut back to Marcelo and his driven shot is collected by Olsen.
59'
Lucas Vázquez has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by K. Benzema.
Benzema has looked very good tonight and deserves his assist but credit must go to Bale. His excellent cross left Roma with no chance and he has provided the difference in the second period.
GOOOOAL! 2-0! Bale superbly curls a cross to the head of Benzema, who knocks the ball to the feet of Vazquez for an easy finish that opens his account for the season.
58'
SAVE! Kluivert superbly shifts the ball onto his left foot and away from Carvajal but his low drive is comfortably saved by Courtois.
57'
A little bit of a lull in the game for the first time, with Real Madrid being patient on the ball while Roma desperately try to force their way back into the game. However, the hosts are yet to test Courtois since the restart.
55'
Still a very good atmosphere in the Italian capital but Roma need to find a spark. They finished the first period in blistering form but have struggled to rekindle that rhythm in the 10 minutes since the restart.
53'
Bale looks like a completely different animal in the second half. He was a passenger for the majority of the opening 45 minutes but has come to life since opening the scoring.
49'
Under whips a cross into the the box that falls to the feet of Zaniolo but Carvajal makes a crucial block to put the ball behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.
47'
G. Bale has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOAL! 1-0 Real Madrid! A defensive nightmare for Roma! Fazio heads the ball straight into the path of Bale and he drags it onto his left foot before slotting beneath Olsen.
46'
Real Madrid get the action back underway for the second period.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: ROMA 0-0 REAL MADRID
45' +1
There will be two minutes of additional time at the end of the first half.
44'
Real Madrid are starting to push into the final third more and are finding space in the wide positions. However, Roma continue to limit the opportunites and the visitors are yet to truly test Olsen.
42'
N. Zaniolo gets yellow.
Zaniolo catches Llorente with his elbow in midfield as the pair contended for an aerial ball and he earns a booking from the referee.
Schick concedes a foul on Kroos, which provides the Real Madrid midfielder with the oppotunity to pump a cross into the middle. He floats it towards the back post where Ramos is lurking but he cannot get enough on his header and Olsen comfortably collects.
40'
Roma will not want the first half to end at this rate as they have Real Madrid right where they want them. It will be interesting to see how the two sides respond if the deadlock is broken.
38'
Real Madrid are looking shellshocked at the moment and they cannot break their way through Roma's strong press. As soon as they get the ball, the hosts are right in their face.
36'
The Olimpico is absolutely rocking now with a noise that brings back memories of Roma's dramatic comeback win over Barcelona in last season's quarter-finals. The hosts are the most threatening side and the moment and Real Madrid are under pressure.
33'
CHANCE! A trademark recovery from Ramos on Under puts the ball behind for a corner, which the Turkey international floats into the six-yard box. It looks dangerous but Varane superbly clears the ball away and the resulting corner is dealt with.
31'
Just over half an hour gone in Rome and the hosts will be delighted with how things have gone so far. Roma have had to cope with extended periods of Real Madrid pressure but have looked reasonably firm at the back, while the pace of Under and Kluivert in attack looks increasingly dangerous.
29'
Vazquez tries to work his way into space down the left side but Cristante stands firm and the ball goes behind for a Real Madrid corner, which comes to nothing.
25'
It is interesting to see former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte in the stands as reports in Italy have suggested he could replace Di Francesco if results do not improve in the coming weeks.
23'
SAVE! Kolarov plays an inviting ball into the feet of Schick inside the area but the forward's flick towards goal is a comfortable save for Courtois.
22'
J. Kluivert enters the game and replaces S. El Shaarawy.
A real blow for Roma as El Shaarawy is unable to continue and it probably wasn't helped by Modric's challenge. Kluivert comes on as his replacement.
21'
L. Modrić gets yellow.
Modric clatters into El Shaarawy, catching the ankle of the Roma man, and he earns the game's first yellow card.
SAVE! First opportunity of the match for Real Madrid as Modric's shot takes a huge deflection off Benzema and it requires a smart save from Olsen.
17'
First real chance for Bale to stretch his legs down the left as he latches onto Marcelo's through ball but strong defending from Manolas relieves the danger.
15'
Real Madrid are looking increasingly threatening and Benzema continues to pick up the ball in decent areas. Roma need to pay him closer attention.
11'
Neither defence looks particularly stable at the moment, with the pressure from the opposing attackers leaving them looking shaky. Not too many chances as of yet though.
9'
A fierce tempo to the start of the game, which is leading to a very exciting watch on the field. Both teams are playing with attacking intent and are quick to put the opposition under pressure when they do not have possession.
7'
WIDE! Kolarov steals possession on the edge of the box and flicks the ball past Vazquez, who is fortunate not to be penalised for handball, and the full-back lashes a shot wide of Courtois' post.
6'
Benzema has already seen plenty of the ball and he could have had an opportunity to open the scoring there. Real Madrid won the ball back in midfield and the ball was slid through to Kroos down the left, who dragged a low cross into the box but Benzema cannot quite get onto the end of it.
4'
Roma deal with the initial corner but remain under threat as Real Madrid start again from the back and look to work their way through.
3'
Real Madrid win an early corner as El Shaarawy tracks back to head the ball behind before Carvajal can cause problems.

We are underway at the Stadio Olimpico, where Roma get the action started.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Champions League clash between Roma and Real Madrid, where both sides are hoping to seal their spot in the knockout stages of the competition.
Both teams enter the clash on the back of domestic defeats at the weekend, with Roma losing 1-0 to Udinese and Real Madrid suffering a shock loss to Eibar. However, a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League can be secured tonight if results go their way.
Roma XI (4-2-3-1): Robin Olsen; Alessandro Florenzi, Kostas Manolas, Federico Fazio, Aleksandar Kolarov; Steven N'Zonzi, Bryan Cristante; Cengiz Under, Nicolo Zaniolo, Stephan El Shaarawy; Patrik Schick.
Roma subs: Antonio Mirante, Davide Santon, Ante Coric, Justin Kluivert, Ivan Marcano, Juan Jesus, Rick Karsdorp.
Real Madrid subs: Kiko Casilla, Javi Sanchez, Vinicius Junior, Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio, Federico Valverde, Dani Ceballos.
Real Madrid XI (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Luka Modric, Marcos Llorente, Toni Kroos; Lucas Vazquez, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale.
Good news for both teams ahead of kick-off as CSKA Moscow's defeat to Viktoria Plzen means both Real Madrid and Roma will be in the knockout stages of the Champions League, leaving top spot to fight for. A win for Solari's side tonight would secure first place in Group G.
Roma will certainly be the happier of the two teams at the break as they have looked extremely strong in the final third, causing Courtois and the Real Madrid defence a lot of problems. They are yet to make it count though and there is always the danger that the visitors will grow into the game as the match progresses.
Nothing to separate the two teams at the break but this is probably one of the best goalless games at the moment, which is a surprise considering both Real Madrid and Roma saw their passage into the knockout stages secured after CSKA Moscow lost earlier today. The better chances have fallen to the hosts and Under will hope his horrendous miss does not come back to haunt him.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye.
Real Madrid will now look ahead to this weekend's clash with Valencia in confidence after knowing they have done their job in the Champions League but the same cannot be said for Roma, who face a tough test against Inter in a game that could have a significant impact upon the future of Di Francesco at the Stadio Olimpico.
