Gibbs-White curls an out-swinging free-kick into the penalty area which evades the crowd and rolls out for a throw-in which is awarded to Wolves. There isn’t much time left!
90' +1
The referee indicates an additional four minutes at the end of the 90 for stoppages.
89'
For a side that have only come up from the Championship this season, Wolves are playing absolutely fantastic football. They may be behind, but they have not given Tottenham a chance to rest on their laurels – despite trailing by three goals at one stage. The build-up play has been of a really high quality from Nuno’s side, and the manager should be extremely proud of the effort of his players.
87'
H. Winks gets yellow.
Winks is shown a yellow card for tugging back Gibbs-White and preventing yet another Wolves foray forward.
84'
Adama Traoré enters the game and replaces Hélder Costa.
Traore is unleashed with six minutes left in the match, replacing Costa.
81'
The introduction of another centre-back shows Pochettino’s frustration with his side, and his desperation to seal the three points. Sanchez’s appearance on the pitch means a tactical change, with Foyth playing in midfield.
79'
D. Sánchez enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
Penalty goal scored by R. Jiménez for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
GOAL FOR WOLVES! This time it’s Jimenez who steps up and with a skip in his approach, sends Lloris the wrong way and smashes it into the bottom corner! 3-2 now with 10 minutes to play!
Immediately after losing another goal, Pochettino makes a change as Lucas is taken off for Sanchez.
78'
J. Foyth gets yellow.
He may have got away without a booking the last time, but Foyth is not so lucky on this occasion as the referee shows him a yellow.
74'
Doherty looks up from his position on the right and sees both Bonatini and Jimenez queueing up in the penalty area, waiting for a cross. Davies puts his body in the way to block the service, and give Wolves a throw.
Minute
Description
72'
Lloris comes off his line and furiously punches away a Wolves corner, sending the ball into the other half of the field.
70'
With 20 minutes left, can Wolves do the improbable and take something from this match despite being down two goals? The home support have not gone quiet for a moment, and Nuno’s positive substitutions are paying off! This match is far from over.
68'
Penalty goal scored by Rúben Neves for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
NEVES MAKES TOTTENHAM PAY! The midfielder winds up and sends the goalkeeper the wrong way, blasting his penalty into the opposite corner, low to the ground! 3-1 Spurs!
62'
M. Gibbs-White enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
Léo Bonatini enters the game and replaces Ivan Cavaleiro.
Joao Moutinho is withdrawn shortly after the hour, with Gibbs-White coming on in his place.
Nuno refuses to give up the chase as he throws another forward on – Leo Bonatini. Cavaleiro is chosen to make way.
61'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
KANE SEALS THE POINTS FOR TOTTENHAM! 3-0 Spurs after Lloris’ goal-kick is headed on by Kane for Lamela who cuts it back to the penalty spot for the striker after a couple of dazzling step-overs. Despite being denied in his first effort by a leaping Patricio, Kane collects the rebound and makes no mistake the second time around!
59'
C. Eriksen enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
Son came on in the seventh minute as a replacement for Dembele, and he is now withdrawn himself. Eriksen will take his place.
58'
Sissoko does really well to round Jonny on the right-hand side before cutting inside and firing what looks to be a mix between a poor cross and a terrible shot. Either way, he misses the net completely and goes out for a goal-kick.
56'
Jimenez goes down appealing for a penalty after duelling for an aerial ball inside the penalty area, but the referee disagrees and Trippier goes over to grab the striker’s arm and pull him back to his feet – clearly unhappy with a perceived dive. The referee disciplines both parties but opts to not side with the forward.
54'
It’s been all Wolves in the past few minutes as Costa is threatening Trippier at every opportunity. The Wolves fans are in full voice as their team is at least entertaining them, if not finding the back of the net. Tottenham are clinging on!
50'
CHANCE FOR WOLVES! Costa sprints by two markers down the right before cutting inside and dragging four defenders near him. Seeing this, the forward plays a beautiful reverse pass for Jimenez whose shot can only meet the gloves of Lloris who parries it away from danger!
49'
Costa gets on the ball and crosses it towards the far post, but the only player there is Foyth who can chest it back calmly to Lloris.
48'
Jimenez’s cross towards Costa is met by the head of Foyth whose slight nod is just enough to change the trajectory and prevent the forward from controlling possession inside the penalty area. It’s a bright start from Wolves who know they have to attack.
46'
Wolves kick-off the second half looking to mount an improbable comeback!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: WOLVES 0-2 TOTTENHAM.
45' +2
The ball comes to Jimenez in the penalty area and after chipping it up to himself, he has his shot blocked by Foyth, but only to Neves outside the penalty area. Known for his long-range shooting ability, the midfielder has a whack at goal from the volley, but it fails to trouble Lloris.
45'
The fourth official indicates an additional three minutes at the end of the first half.
43'
Lamela is called for a foul on Cavaleiro after the Wolves forward’s fancy footwork forces the Tottenham player into a lunging tackle. The set-piece is on the left outside the Tottenham penalty area, but Neves’ delivery is poor and cleared away immediately by a Spurs defender.
42'
Moutinho’s second delivery is taken to the near post for Jimenez who gets a nod to it. Miscommunication between Boly and Jimenez means that neither of them get a strike on goal from an acute angle, and Tottenham survive the danger.
40'
Moutinho takes his corner-kick to the six-yard box where Kane gets a defensive header to the ball, but only as far as Neves. The midfielder shapes to have a strike, but Kane’s momentum takes him forward into a position where he can block the shot out for another set-piece.
38'
A SUBLIME TEAM GOAL WILL NOT STAND! Doherty plays the ball into Moutinho who chips a return pass over the defence. Doherty meets it and heads it down for Jimenez who scuffs a volley past Lloris and into the goal – though the linesman’s flag is immediately raised for an offside call on the Wolves right-winger, though replays suggest the call is incorrect.
36'
Bennett losses possession to Lucas who immediately swings a cross towards the six-yard box for Kane, but Patricio steps off his line to get there ahead of the opposition striker.
34'
Jimenez manages to win possession from Foyth and he quickly passes it to Neves whose pass forward for Costa is wasted as the winger’s back-heel pass is claimed only by a Tottenham defender as all the other Wolves players in the area stop their run. That’s poor from the home side who should be a lot more explosive in their attacking.
32'
Kane has a shot from a long way out after a one-two pass with Lucas, but Patricio manages to get his body in the way to take the sting out of the strike before claiming it in his hands. Spurs are full of confidence at the moment!
30'
Lucas Moura has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by K. Trippier.
It's a textbook cross from Trippier whose fantastic delivery gives him an assist.
SPURS DOUBLE THE ADVANTAGE WITHIN MINUTES! Davies has the ball on the left and cuts it back for Lucas who finds Son centrally just outside the penalty area. The South Korea international then switches it to the right for Trippier, whose cross finds the head of Lucas who finishes it neatly past Patricio!
29'
Spurs are ahead, but it is somewhat against the run of play as Wolves have arguably looked the better, more positive side. There are certainly more goals in this contest, as both teams have a ton of attacking quality.
27'
É. Lamela has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by Son Heung-Min.
It didn’t look as though Son’s pass was originally intended for Lamela, but he will have no complaints about being awarded the assist.
TOTTENHAM HAVE THE 1-0 LEAD! Lamela picks the ball up in space on the edge of the area and draws three defenders towards him. He plays it back to Son who promptly returns it to the Argentine international inside the penalty area. From there, it’s an easy right-foot finish past Patricio and into the net!
26'
Jimenez spots the run of Costa down the right-hand side and plays a pass through to him which evades the outstretched leg of Davies and allows the winger to get into the penalty area, but the linesman is in a perfect spot to notice the offside and alert the referee who stops play.
24'
R. Bennett gets yellow.
The first yellow card goes the way of Wolves, as Bennett is given a booking for taking down Son in an effort to stop a counter-attack.
23'
Trippier puts in a great tackle to get the ball away from Cavaleiro whose position just outside the penalty area is a dangerous one to cross from. The pressure isn’t over for Spurs, however, as Wolves win the throw.
21'
Son’s giveaway near his penalty area allows Jimenez to lay it off to Cavaleiro in a central position, but he takes too long to get his shot off and two Tottenham players close down well to make the block. That is very sloppy by Spurs who could have gifted their opponents the opening goal of the game.
19'
Kane gets into the penalty area but can only manage a shot from a narrow angle thanks to the defending of Bennett. The chance is taken with power, but Patricio gets down well to make the save.
15'
It looks as though the earlier switch has forced Sissoko back into midfield to partner Winks, with Son pushing ahead alongside Lamela and Lucas. The change will provide a lot less shelter for the Tottenham defence, as Dembele’s tackling often cuts out potential danger before it reaches the penalty area.
13'
Moutinho sprays a pass to the right for Doherty who cuts inside and takes a shot with his weaker left foot from just outside the penalty area. It’s a good idea, but the execution fails and Lloris can get his body in front of it with time to spare.
11'
Wolves are pressing very high as Doherty wins a throw-in after forcing Davies to give up possession. The ball comes back into play to Jimenez who takes a touch to set himself before attempting a long-range effort which sails high of Lloris’ goal.
9'
Pochettino cannot be happy having been forced into a change within the first 10 minutes. Dembele’s problem appears to be with his ankle as he gets strapped to a hospital bed on the sideline. With Wanyama and Dier injured in their own right, the manager is losing all of his options in midfield.
7'
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces M. Dembélé.
Confirmation of the change which comes as a necessity – as Dembele will be unable to continue. Son comes on as his replacement.
5'
Tottenham are pushing forward despite being a man down as they look to counter-attack after Wolves committed men forward to get under a Boly lofted pass. Service comes into Kane but he can't trap the ball and a defender comes across to dispossess him.

The visiting side get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE Premier League commentary of the fixture between Wolves and Tottenham!
Two losses in a row to Watford and Brighton without managing a goal has slightly dampened an otherwise roaring start from a Wolves team that only experienced defeat once in their first eight matches. The newly promoted side sit 11th in the table, though a win would put them ahead of Leicester City, and at least on par with Everton in ninth.
The form of Harry Kane is somewhat concerning, as the England captain hasn’t scored in three league matches since his double gave Tottenham a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. This is Spurs’ third match in five days, with a crucial midweek Champions League clash against PSV on Tuesday taking the tally to four games in eight, for what is an astonishingly congested fixture list.
WOLVES (3-4-3): Rui Patricio; Willy Boly, Conor Coady, Ryan Bennett; Jonny Castro Otto, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Matt Doherty; Helder Costa, Raul Jimenez, Ivan Cavaleiro.
With just under 15 minutes to go before kick-off, the team news has been confirmed! Let's start with the home side!
TOTTENHAM SUBS: Christian Eriksen, Oliver Skipp, Son Heung-Min, Serge Aurier, Paulo Gazzaniga, Davinson Sanchez, Fernando Llorente.
TOTTENHAM (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Juan Foyth, Ben Davies; Harry Winks, Mousa Dembele; Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane.
WOLVES SUBS: Leo Bonatini, Ruben Vinagre, Morgan Gibbs-White, Adama Traore, John Ruddy, Leander Dendoncker, Kortney Hause.
Goals have been difficult to come by for Nuno Espirito Santo as his side have managed to hit the back of the net nine times in 10 Premier League games – a record worse than everyone outside of the bottom-six clubs, save Burnley. Tottenham’s stingy defence is not exactly a confidence-boosting proposition, as the London club have only conceded eight times.
Monday’s defeat to Manchester City ended what was Tottenham’s best-ever start to a Premier League season, though an EFL Cup victory over rivals West Ham in midweek got Mauricio Pochettino’s side back to winning ways. Spurs are fifth in the table, with a win jumping them above rivals Arsenal and into a third-place tie with Chelsea.
The score may not signal positivity for the home fans, but their performance has not meant that they are down and out. There is undoubted quality all over the pitch for Wolves, and with a midfield featuring Neves and Moutinho, there is never a shortage of opportunities. Tottenham’s lack of a midfield shield in front of the defence due to Dembele’s departure means that Lloris’ goal is likely to be challenged relatively often in the second half.
Spurs head into the interval two goals up after a crazy three-minute spell leading up to the half-hour mark where Lamela and Lucas took their chances efficiently. Wolves started the better, more organised side and Nuno had reason to be positive, especially after Pochettino was forced to use an early substitution for the injured Dembele. A number of Wolves chances from Jimenez and Cavaleiro went begging, and Tottenham made them pay with two simple finishes – one from a give-and-go around the penalty area, and one from a far-post header. Wolves did have a chance to cut the deficit, but Jimenez’s goal was incorrectly chalked off due to a perceived offside in the build-up.
Wolves are in action next in eight days when they travel to London to play Arsenal. Tottenham host PSV in Tuesday’s Champions League fixture before a weekend Premier League match at Crystal Palace.
What a thoroughly incredibly game of football. Despite a good performance from Wolves in the first half, it seemed the result was a formality as Tottenham added to their two-goal lead through Kane on the hour mark. Nuno’s side had different ideas however as they maintained their positive play and kept pouring forward. Two penalties, taken superbly by Neves and Jimenez gave the home side something to chase with 10 minutes left, though Wolves didn’t have enough in the tank to complete the comeback. Spurs take the points, but they were certainly made to earn it.
That concludes our Premier League commentary! We hope you enjoyed it! Goodbye.
