There will be a minimum of three minutes added on at the end of this match.
89'
Closer! Dortmund throw everyone forward in search of an equaliser, and Yarmolenko nearly gets it as he comes so close to getting on the end of a cross hung in towards the far post, but just overruns it! That would have been in had he got his head to it.
87'
G. Donati enters the game and replaces Y. Muto.
The visitors make the final change of the match as Donati replaces Muto.
85'
S. Bell gets yellow.
A professional foul from Bell to stop a break, which sees the Mainz defender into the book.
82'
Mainz are seeing this out in a very professional manner. They were heavy underdogs coming into the match but have been the better side throughout. They've wanted it more, defended better, attacked better, and are thoroughly deserving of this lead - a result that would secure their safety.
80'
For all of Dortmund's possession in this match, they've hardly been able to find an opening. The only chance they were able to carve out resulted in their goal, but otherwise it's all been rather pedestrian from the hosts in possession - a real shock considering what's at stake for them today.
77'
S. Papastathopoulos gets yellow.
Bad news for Dortmund as Sokratis is shown a yellow card, meaning he will be suspended for the final matchday, which could be a crucial game in Hoffenheim. It's especially bad news considering they've already lost Toprak to injury earlier in this match.
74'
A. Yarmolenko enters the game and replaces M. Götze.
Here is the final change for Dortmund, and it is Yarmolenko - the lone attacking option left on their bench - who comes on, with Gotze indeed the one to give way.
71'
Dortmund still have a change to make, and it's a bit surprising that they have not brought on Yarmolenko just yet. Gotze has been a peripheral figure today, just not factoring in much in attack, so he would be the likeliest to give way should Stoger opt to use that final change.
Minute
Description
69'
Well Dortmund have yet to carve out a real chance in this second half, as Mainz remain the better side. There's no question the visitors' work rate is still much better, and it's quite remarkable that they haven't faded one bit despite keeping such a high intensity.
67'
Y. Muto gets yellow.
Two yellow cards shown to each side now, as Muto is booked for the visitors.
63'
K. Onisiwo enters the game and replaces L. Öztunalı.
Mainz's second change is a like-for-like swap, as Oztunali is replaced by Onisiwo.
62'
END-TO-END ACTION! Back and forth they go at the Signal Iduna Park! It's really opening up now, which suggests there will be more goals to come. Muto surges through at one end, but just can't sort his footing under pressure from Burki and Akanji, while back at the other end Reus forces Muller into a simple save.
60'
Well done by Muller! The young Mainz keeper had to be sharp there to jet off his line and collect a throughball intended for Reus, and he was. It's particularly impressive from Muller to have been able to keep his focus all this time, despite being a spectator for much of the match.
58'
One or two nervy moments for Mainz as they come under a bit of pressure for the first time in a while. The introduction of Schurrle has just injected a bit of life into the side, even if he's not the catalyst here. Akanji and Reus link-up nicely along the left, but the latter's pull-back is cut out by Brosinski.
56'
A. Schürrle enters the game and replaces C. Pulišić.
Stoger has seen about enough and has opted to make his first attacking change, as Schurrle comes on to replace Pulisic, who has been a virtual spectator in this match.
54'
A. Maxim enters the game and replaces R. Baku.
M. Reus gets yellow.
Already having committed a foul since being shown yellow, Baku had little margin for error and he's been replaced here to avoid possible disaster. Maxim takes his place.
Reus picks up a booking, the second of the match for a Dortmund player.
50'
Mainz have certainly picked up where they left off here. They're doing a good job of keeping possession, and holding Dortmund to the periphery when the hosts have the ball, not affording them even a sliver of space to work their way through.
48'
He has to be careful! Baku is penalised for a late foul on Piszczek, awarding Dortmund a free-kick in an encouraging position. The midfielder is already on a booking - picking up a second yellow would be a good way to spoil such a dream start to his Bundesliga tenure.
46'
Back underway at the Signal Iduna Park!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-2 MAINZ.
45'
As a result of the Toprak injury, there will be two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
41'
J. Weigl gets yellow.
Weigl picks up a booking as Dortmund are coming under pressure again here.
40'
Into the final five minutes of the first half, and it's safe to say this one hasn't gone according to script. With a top-four finish there for the taking, Dortmund have been unable to get the better of their relegation-threatened opponents, who simply appear to want it more, winning all the 50-50 duels.
38'
M. Schmelzer enters the game and replaces Ö. Toprak.
Well NOW it's the end of Toprak's afternoon. He tried to give it a go, but he's forced to succumb to his injury in the end. Schmelzer comes on to replace him and will likely play left-back, pushing Akanji into the centre of defence.
36'
Toprak looks like he's going to try and give it a go here, as he's back out on the pitch and moving around, though he does appear a bit laboured still. It's surprising to see him allowed back on after the trainer had signaled over to the bench for a substitution.
34'
Play comes to a halt as the training staff has to come out to attend to Toprak, who has picked up a knock here. The centre-half is still reeling from the challenge by Baku a few minutes earlier, and it looks like that will be the end of his match.
30'
R. Baku gets yellow.
HUGE CHANCE! Diallo is gifted with a glorious opportunity from close range on the end of the ensuing corner, but can't beat Burki! Pressure stays on and it looks like a penalty might be awarded, but instead it's Baku who committed a foul as the pressure on the Dortmund goal is relieved. That's a first yellow card in the Bundesliga for the midfielder.
29'
INCHES AWAY! Oztunali surges forward with nothing but open space in front of him on the counter. He just overruns the ball, however, preventing a clean break, before the ball is eventually worked back to Hack who blasts an effort that takes a slight deflection as it drifts inches wide of the far post!
26'
This match is being played predominantly in the Dortmund half, with Mainz continuing to work the ball around excellently, and press to win it back when the hosts get in possession. The visitors' work rate has been nothing short of fantastic, but how long can they really keep this up before fatigue sets in?
24'
The tempo remains excellent from a neutral perspective. Muto's movement up top has cause Dortmund all sorts of problems, as the Mainz striker has a real appetite for goals today.
22'
Who wants to indulge an incredibly wild scenario here for a second? Should Dortmund lose 3-2 here and Hoffenheim beat Stuttgart 1-0, the two sides would be level on points, goals for and goals against headed into their final match showdown. What a wacky final day that would make for!
20'
That Philipp goal has given Dortmund a jolt of life. The hosts are looking much sharper on the ball here, having been very much outplayed up to that point. Mainz's work rate has been nothing short of excellent, and it must be said, they're a bit unlucky not to still be leading by the two goals.
16'
M. Philipp has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by J. Sancho.
Another assist for Sancho.
DORTMUND RIGHT BACK IN IT! What a match we have on our hands! Sancho bursts into the area and takes on Brosinski, making quick work of the defender before threading a cross in for Philipp who turns excellently and finishes with aplomb!
13'
Y. Muto has scored a goal for Mainz! Assist by P. De Blasis.
That was a lovely pick-out from De Blasis to provide the assist.
MAINZ RUNNING RIOT! It's been a dream start for the relegation-threatened club! Muto leaves Toprak in his dust as he sprints onto the end of De Blasis' cross and guides a delightful header beyond the reach of Burki! It's fully deserverd for the visitors!
12'
There's a lovely tempo to this match in the opening stages. Mainz have a hunger for goals as they've adopted a lovely pace, always looking for the chance to go forward, while Dortmund are really starting to find their legs as well.
10'
Better from Dortmund! That's much more like it from the hosts. Reus lasers a ball into the area for Pulisic who turns well, but Bell intervenes at the vital moment. The defender only knocks the ball as far as Reus, however, who was sprinting in for a return pass, but sees his strike deflect beyond the near post for a corner.
8'
Mainz are full of energy in the early going here, showing plenty of intent as they get after every ball with great determination. Dortmund are looking a bit shell-shocked here, pegged back in their own end and already staring at an early deficit.
4'
R. Baku has scored a goal for Mainz! Assist by J. Gbamin.
Wonderful vision from Gbamin to provide that assist.
MAINZ SNATCH THE EARLY LEAD! And it's Baku again! The local boy who was called up from the second team and scored in his debut last week, is on the scoresheet again! It's a terrific finish from the midfielder into the roof of the goal on the end of a clever back-heel setup from Gbamin!
3'
Plenty of possession from the hosts in these opening stages, with little forward penetration. Mainz are showing good energy off the ball, pressing high up as they prevent Dortmund from getting into any rhythm.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Dortmund in yellow tops and black shorts as they get the match underway, with Mainz in red and white.
Since his appointment as Dortmund coach in December, Peter Stoger has maintained that the club’s priority in a top-four finish, and they can guarantee that today with a win over the club Stoger began his tenure against.
That’s right, Stoger’s first match in charge of the Black and Yellow’s came in a 2-0 victory away to Mainz back on December 12. Should he navigate his side to complete the double over them today, they would be assured of Champions League football next season.
Mainz’s priorities are awfully different. They’re teetering towards the bottom of the table, just three points up on the bottom three as the pressure is very much on them ahead of the season’s final two matches.
Defeat today would leave them hovering dangerously close to the drop, if not see them into the bottom three, leaving their Bundesliga fate to come down to a home date with Werder Bremen on the final matchday next weekend.

MAINZ (4-3-3): Florian Muller; Daniel Brosinski, Stefan Bell, Alexander Hack, Abdou Diallo; Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Nigel de Jong, Ridle Baku; Levin Oztunali, Pablo De Blasis, Yoshinori Muto.
SUBS: Anthony Ujah, Guilio Donati, Gerrit Holtmann, Alexandru Maxim, Karim Onisiwo, Robin Zentner, Robin Quaison.
Peter Stoger names an unchanged Dortmund side for the third successive match, opting not to tamper with a winning formula. Sandro Schwarz, meanwhile, has made one change to the Mainz side from last weekend's victory over RB Leipzig, as Muller deputises in goal with Rene Adler out injured.
Goals from Baku and Muto capped off a terrific start for Mainz as they opened a 2-0 advantage, but Dortmund have since pulled one back through Philipp to leave the match delicately poised through 45 minutes. It's a full deserved lead for the visitors, who will probably be unhappy with the fact that they haven't scored more, given all the opportunities they've had. Quite simply put, Dortmund need to be better.
Mainz are staying up! A thoroughly deserved first-ever victory at the Signal Iduna Park means Sandro Schwarz's side will remain in the top-flight next season! Goals from Baku and Muto got them off to a flier before Philipp cut Borussia Dortmund's deficit in half, but the hosts could manage little else as they squander the chance to secure a top-four finish.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
