STAT: Just once in their last 11 home matches in Ligue 1 have PSG failed to score at least three goals, including today (all victories).

I. Niané enters the game and replaces D. Miličević.
A second change for the visitors sees Ibrahima Niane replace Milicevic.
84'
With all due respect to Metz, it looks like they've played this match with nine or 10 men. The gaps all over the pitch have been quite shocking, and it's allowed PSG to have their pick of the lot in attack. The visitors didn't appear to come in with any sort of gameplan, and have been sorely punished as a result.
82'
Thiago Silva has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by G. Lo Celso.
Lo Celso provides the assist, picking up where Verratti - the man he replaced - left off.
THERE IT IS! Metz completely static in defence as Thiago Silva runs on to meet a corner, sending a free-header beyond Kawashima, who was left rooted to his spot - much like a number of the defenders in front of him.
81'
Full credit to these passionate PSG supporters, who have been in full-voice since kick-off. They've enjoyed every second of this performance, and are urging their side forward for one more goal to celebrate.
79'
There seems to be a renewed ambition to PSG in attack following those substitutions, but it's Metz who are in possession here as they go in search of a consolation goal - though nothing at all appears to be imminent.
77'
STAT: PSG have scored 144 goals in all comps in 2017/18, new record for the team in a single season.
75'
Kawashima with two more terrific stops! This would be 8-0 right now if not for the Japan international. He sprawls out to deny Mbappe from in close following another lovely delivery from Meunier, before flying through the air to parry the forward's effort from 20 yards just moments later!
73'
Kimpembe has had a couple of chances to get on the scoresheet tonight but he hasn't been able to convert. He's presented with a free header here from a corner, but his header drifts wide of the mark.

A. Rabiot enters the game and replaces J. Draxler.
T. Weah enters the game and replaces Á. Di María.
Young American striker Timothy Weah comes into the match for PSG, replacing Angel di Maria.
The hosts make their final change as well here, with 20 minutes to play - Adrien Rabiot coming on in place of Draxler.
68'
Kawashima has been sharp in this match, which would be much more lopsided if not for his contributions. The Metz keeper is at it again here, getting off his line in a flash to snuff out Di Maria's attempts to finish from in close.
66'
STAT: PSG have won their last 14 games at home in Ligue 1 (54 goals, 9 conceded), their longest such run ever.
64'
E. Rivière enters the game and replaces F. Diagne.
G. Lo Celso enters the game and replaces M. Verratti.
Speaking of Verratti, his evening is over here as Giovani Lo Celso comes on to replace him.
Metz make a change as well, with striker Emmanuel Riviere replacing midfielder Fallou Diagne.
62'
Verratti has absolutely bossed this match in midfield. It's a terrific performance being put in by the Italian to right the ship following his sending off in Tuesday's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
60'
Aside from the odd PSG attack, the tempo has really fizzled out since the restart. The hosts are understandably showing a lot less urgency to get forward, as plenty of time is passing between their attacks - far from the case in the first half.
58'
STUNNING SAVE! That was an absolutely dazzling run from Meunier who went striding forward into the penalty area, before squaring for Nkunku, but the forward is again denied his hat-trick, this time by a sprawling save from Kawashima who keeps it off the line!
56'
What's truly impressive about this is that PSG are running up the score without their two, and Ligue 1's, top scorers in Edinson Cavani and Neymar. It's a miserable night for Metz, which sums up their season thus far.
54'
STAT: PSG have won their last six games in Ligue 1, equalling the longest run in the top-flight this season. They are on course to win a seventh successive league match for the first time this campaign.
52'
WIDE! Mbappe has the goal at his mercy from eight yards, and he's put it wide! You would have bet your house on him scoring from there, but somehow PSG don't have their fifth!
50'
You can understand Metz's hesitance to open up and have a go at grabbing a consolation goal or two. They have showed signs of being able to threaten when on the front foot, but do they really want to leave themselves exposed and risk this getting really out of hand?
48'
A slow start to this second half, which hopefully isn't a sign of things to come. PSG have this game wrapped up, the question now being whether or not they want to get forward and add to their lead.
46'
Back underway in the French capital!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: PSG 4-0 METZ.
45' +1
K. Mbappé has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by M. Verratti.
Two first-half assists for Verratti, who could have five if some of the other chances were finished off.
NOW THEY HAVE THEIR FOURTH! Another lovely ball from Verratti plays Mbappe through, and this time the striker is able to finish it off at the near post!
45'
OFFSIDE! Nkunku heads in off the post for his hat-trick goal, but the offside flag denies him! It's the wrong call from the linesman, as well, as he was being played on by the right full-back. It matters little in the grand scheme of things, but that's an unfortunate decision to deny the youngster his hat-trick.
43'
Kawashima continues to face an onslaught as PSG pepper his goal with chance after chance. Mbappe is the latest recipient of another wonderful Verratti pass, but he can't beat the Metz keeper from in close!
41'
CLOSE! Di Maria has eyes for goal from close to 30 yards as he bends a well-struck free-kick towards the near post, narrowly missing the target as his attempt scrapes the ceiling of the goal.
40'
F. Diagne gets yellow.
Diagne has been testing the referee's patience with a rising foul count in midfield, and it's worn thin here as the Metz midfielder is shown a yellow card for an accumulation of fouls.
38'
Metz are enjoying their first spell in possession here in what feels like close to 25 minutes. This rare foray into attack results in a corner, which they will have to wait to take as the referee wants a word with the two captains to discuss an altercation that happened behind the play, involving Mbappe. No further discipline will be issued though, it seems.
36'
The result is surely settled here. The question now is how many can PSG score? It looks as though Metz can do little to stop them, with the hosts able to go in search of as many goals as they need to satisfy their insatiable appetite.
34'
Could have been four! Verratti clips a mesmerising ball over the top for Mbappe, who beat the offside trap, but gets his first-time finish all wrong as he fails to test Kawashima.
32'
STAT: PSG have now scored in each of their last 22 games in Ligue 1, the longest current run of any side.
30'
Nkunku very close to his hat-trick as he nearly gets on the end of Meunier's ball across the face of goal, but Selimovic did just enough to force the ball behind for a corner! What a first half the PSG youngster is having!
28'
C. Nkunku has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Á. Di María.
LOVELY HIT! PSG CRUISING NOW! Nkunku has his first Ligue 1 double courtesy of a stunning finish! He cut inside onto his right, around a defender, and drove a low strike back across goal an just inside the post, beyond the reach of Kawashima, from 20 yards!
Di Maria provides the assist.
26'
Despite their potential record-point haul, it may still not be enough for Unai Emery to keep his job. The coach is on the hot seat, and even a domestic treble might not be enough to salvage his tenure in the French capital, with the club starved for success in European competition.
24'
Unai Emery's side could very well become the first side in Ligue 1 history to break the 100-point barrier. With 10 games remaining (including today's) they need to win eight and draw two, or win nine and lose one. They're taking one step closer with this scoreline.
22'
STAT: PSG have picked up 74 points after 28 games in Ligue 1 this season, the highest tally for a team at this stage (three points for a win).
20'
C. Nkunku has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by M. Verratti.
Verratti's knee looks just fine, recovering from an early knock to provide the assist for PSG's second.
PSG DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! That's just too easy. Metz have been in this game, but any chance at taking something from it appears to be gone as PSG's quality has shined through at two vital moments. Verratti picks out a clever ball through for Nkunku, and the winger has his second league goal in as many games as he beats Kawashima at the far post!
19'
Despite holding the lead, PSG have been a bit careless through these opening 20 minutes. Some loose passing in midfield has gifted Metz a few opportunities on the counter, while their organisation in defence has been poor.
17'
Metz are certainly threatening here! They're finding plenty of space to exploit in the final third when they get forward, with PSG failing to close their gaps. Roux picks out a clever pull-back for Dossevi atop the penalty area, but his first-time effort is stopped rather comfortably by Areola.
15'
PSG back in the ascendancy as they apply some more pressure on the Metz goal, with Meunier at the forefront down that right flank. Following a clearance, the hosts switch to attack down the left, and Mbappe appears to be through on goal, but he's again denied by the offside flag.
13'
STAT: PSG have opened the scoring 22 times this season in Ligue 1, winning every one of those matches - the only side in the top flight this campaign not to drop points after scoring the first goal.
11'
OFF THE BAR! Well Metz have been looking very bright in attack since falling behind, only undone by their final ball. They come incredibly close here, however, as Dossevi's strike from 15 yards takes a slight deflection off Kimpembe to change the ascent, lifting over Areola and smacking off the underside of the crossbar!
9'
OUCH! Mathieu Dossevi tries to leap over a Verratti challenge, but winds up coming down with his cleats on the inside of the PSG midfielder's knee. That's drawn some blood, and Verratti will have to be helped over to the touchline to receive treatment.
7'
Any hope Metz had of PSG lacking focus following their Champions League exit has been dashed. The hosts may still be stinging from the defeat, but they're looking to take their anger out in this match, in would seem, as they try to move forward and put it in the past.
5'
T. Meunier has scored a goal for PSG!
LIFTOFF FOR PSG! That didn't take long! Meunier produces a delightful finish off the far post and in from a difficult angle, after Mbappe's strike fell kindly for him following a deflection.
3'
PSG denied what could have been the perfect start by the offside flag, as Mbappe fails to properly time his run. Metz have seen precious little of the ball in these opening few minutes.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! PSG in their navy blue as they get the match underway, with Metz in white.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Ligue 1 clash as runaway leaders PSG welcome last-place Metz to Parc des Princes!
A whopping 54 points separate these two sides in the table, a healthy margin between first and last, and a gap of 91 on goal difference – two figures that should only grow larger over the season’s final two months.
None of that will be much comfort to PSG, still reeling from Tuesday’s defeat to Real Madrid which resulted in another premature exit from the Champions League as the pressure mounts on Unai Emery despite their domestic dominance.
PSG can still claim the French treble, with the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue very much in their sights, while they are 16 points from clinching the title – they can have the league wrapped up by April 15 when they host Monaco.
For Metz, the sobering reality of beginning the 2018-19 campaign in Ligue 2 looms large. They’ve been improving but have simply been unable to recover from losing 11 of their first 12 as they enter the weekend seven points back at the bottom.
Unai Emery makes five changes to his side from Tuesday's defeat to Real Madrid. Kylian Mbappe leads the line as Edinson Cavani is rested, with Christopher Nkunku taking his place in attack. Julian Draxler and birthday boy Lassana Diarra replace Adrien Rabiot and Thiago Motta in midfield, while Dani Alves and Marquinhos give way to Thomas Meunier and Presnel Kimpembe in defence.
Frederic Hantz makes two changes from last weekend's draw with Toulouse, as Vahid Selimovic and Fallou Diagne replace Julian Palmieri and forward Emmanuel Riviere. Nolan Roux leads the line as a result.
The gulf between these sides in the table suggested it could be a straightforward result for PSG, but they're making it look even easier than that. Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe scored on either side of a Christopher Nkunku brace as the hosts lead by four at the break. Frankly, Metz are lucky it isn't more.
No doubt about this one as Ligue 1 leaders PSG hammer last-place Metz at Parc des Princes. Christopher Nkuku scored twice in the first half, with Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe also getting in on the act, before Thiago Silva added a fifth late on to add insult to injury for the relegation-threatened visitors.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
