There goes the final whistle and we will have a penalty shootout in Michigan!
90' +3
The last chance of the game falls to Matuidi, who beats the offside trap to latch onto a neat through ball. However, he is just unable to steer past the onrushing Alisson.
90'
There are two minutes of stoppage time to be played if either side is going to find a winner, otherwise it will be a penalty shootout.
88'
M. Seck gets yellow.
Seck is booked for a rash challenge on Lucas.
Minute
Description
87'
This is just the first of three games that both sides will play in the 2017 International Champions Cup, with clashes against Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus also on the schedule before continuing their preparations for the forthcoming season.
85'
WHAT A MISS! Yet again, Matuidi can only blaze over the crossbar when completely unmarked just outside the six-yard box. Emery and PSG will be thankful this is not a competitive match!...
84'
M. Seck enters the game and replaces Juan Jesus.
A change for Roma sees Jesus replaced by Moustapha Seck.
82'
O. Édouard enters the game and replaces G. Lo Celso.
A. Bernede enters the game and replaces Jesé.
Meanwhile, Lo Celso makes way for Odsonne Édouard.
Jesé is given a breather as he is replaced by Antoine Bernede.
80'
We are into the final 10 minutes in Michigan! Can either side find a winner or are we going down to the wire?...
78'
Chances for both sides at either end over the past few minutes, but neither could take them and it looks like we are heading for a penalty shootout at Comerica Park. It would already be the second game to go all the way in this event, as Arsenal edged out Bayern Munich in China earlier today.
75'
CHANCE! Within seconds, Matuidi races onto a long ball over the top of the Roma defence at the other end. Alisson is caught in two minds as to whether to come and collect the ball or not, but he is eventually relieved as the French international somehow clears the crossbar with the goal gaping.
74'
OFFSIDE! Umar is in again as he receives the ball unmarked in the area. He somehow misses the target from less than 12 yards out, but the flag had already been raised on the far side.
71'
NO PENALTY! Umar's pace causes plenty of problems for PSG at the back once again. Kimpembe clearly catches the forward with his sliding challenge, but the referee points for a goal-kick instead. The Ligue 1 side were fortunate not to concede a penalty there.
69'
C. Nkunku enters the game and replaces Dani Alves.
Gonçalo Guedes enters the game and replaces J. Pastore.
Yuri enters the game and replaces L. Kurzawa.
L. Callegari enters the game and replaces T. Motta.
Alves' first appearance in a PSG shirt lasts 69 minutes, as he is replaced by Christopher Nkunku.
Meanwhile, Gonçalo Guedes comes on in place of Pastore.
Motta is given a breather as he goes off to be replaced by Lorenzo Callegari.
Kurzawa makes way for PSG and is replaced by new signing Yuri Berchiche.
65'
GOOD SAVE! Roma are awarded a free-kick 25 yards from goal and De Rossi is stood over the ball. The veteran's fierce effort is dipping below the crossbar, but great reflexes sees Areola turn it over for a corner.
62'
Marquinhos gets yellow.
Marquinhos has his name taken as Roma continue to apply the pressure in PSG's final third.
61'
M. Antonucci enters the game and replaces D. Perotti.
D. De Rossi enters the game and replaces M. Gonalons.
Mirko Antonucci is given a run-out for Roma as he replaces Gonalons.
60'
U. Sadiq has scored a goal for Roma! Assist by Gerson.
Gerson showed magnificent awareness and technical ability to pick out Umar with that pass.
ROMA ARE LEVEL!!! Umar fires home the equaliser! The 20-year-old peels away from his marker to latch onto Gerson's cleverly lofted pass, before controlling on his thigh and firing home through the legs of Areola.
58'
Could Kimpembe be the latest addition to Everton's overhaul? The centre-half has been linked with a move to the English Premier League side and that challenge was evidence as to why.
55'
GOOD RECOVERY! A loose pass puts Kimpembe under pressure from Umar on the edge of his penalty area. However, the PSG defender rescues the situation with a well-timed challenge to deny his opponent a sight at goal.
52'
Nainggolan is another player to be linked with a move away from Roma. Internazionale appear to be the favourite to land the Belgian's signature, but Di Francesco will be eager for him to remain with the Giallorossi.
49'
Following all of those changes, it is no real suprise that the play is very much stop-start at the moment and lacking any real flow. It will pick up, however, once both sides settle into their rhythm.
46'
B. Matuidi enters the game and replaces A. Rabiot.
R. Nainggolan enters the game and replaces K. Strootman.
M. Tumminello enters the game and replaces L. Pellegrini.
Leandro Castán enters the game and replaces H. Moreno.
U. Sadiq enters the game and replaces E. Džeko.
F. Fazio enters the game and replaces K. Manolas.
Gerson enters the game and replaces J. Iturbe.
P. Kimpembe enters the game and replaces Thiago Silva.
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Roma get the ball rolling again in the second half.
Dzeko has been given a breather by Di Francesco, being replaced by Sadiq Umar.
Meanwhile, Radja Nainggolan comes on in place of Strootman.
Rabiot is replaced by Blaise Matuidi for PSG.
Leandro Castán replaces Moreno.
Manolas makes way for Federico Fazio.
Gerson replaces Iturbe for Roma.
Meanwhile, Presnel Kimpembe comes on for Silva.
Marco Tumminello replaces Pellegrini.
45'
That is it for the first half in Michigan, with PSG leading 1-0 at the break!
42'
The French side's play almost leads to an opening as Pastore shows some clever footwork in the box before laying the ball off for Lucas to strike. However, Alisson is equal to the Brazilian's strike on this occasion.
41'
PSG are looking confident as they begin to stroke the ball around with some brilliant one-touch passing. Emery will be pleased with his players so far.
39'
Jese is involved again almost immediately in attempting to execute a one-two with Lucas, but some strong defending from Roma denies the latter from getting a shot on goal.
36'
Marquinhos has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Jesé.
Jese's return ball that was aimed for Motta eventually led to the opening goal of the day.
PSG LEAD!!! MARQUINHOS FIRES THEM IN FRONT! It is first blood to the Ligue 1 side as Marquinhos breaks the deadlock. Roma do not deal with a corner properly and a neat one-two between Motta and Jese eventually sees the ball drop for the Brazilian, who cleverly turns before sweeping it past Alisson.
34'
OUCH! A high boot from Perotti appears to catch Motta in the face. The PSG midfielder takes a moment to gather himself, but looks like he has not been hurt too badly and should be perfectly fine to continue.
31'
The other question is whether Di Francesco can live up to expectations in the capital? His impressive work at Sassuolo, whom he led to promotion before establishing them in Serie A, have earned him a crack at a top job but being able to deliver the goods is a completely different proposition. Ironically, he was part of the last Roma squad to win the Scudetto in 2000/01, so could that be a good omen for the Giallorossi?
28'
Could Riyad Mahrez be the man to fill the void left by Salah? The Leicester City talisman has been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico and there is no doubt that he has the ability to succeed in Serie A.
26'
Speaking of change, Roma currently find themselves in a period of transition, too. The Giallorossi are now functioning under the guidance of Di Francesco, who replaced Luciano Spalletti at the end of last season, while the retirement of Francesco Totti and high-profile departures of Mohamed Salah and Antonio Rudiger have left big shoes to fill.
23'
Last season marked a huge transitional period for Jese. After playing second fiddle to the likes of Karim Benzema at Real Madrid, there were big expectations on the Spaniard when he made the switch to PSG. However, he spent the majority of the campaign on loan at Las Palmas and appears to have some work to do in order to displace Edinson Cavani as Emery's first-choice centre forward.
21'
CHANCE! Jese showed all the signs of a striker lacking in confidence during that passage of play. Despite good movement to latch onto a neat through ball, he lost his footing at the vital moment and scuffed his effort into the outstretched leg of Manolas.
18'
A. Rabiot gets yellow.
It is fair to say that the main focus during pre-season is on getting minutes under the belt as opposed to quality of football. This is evident at the moment, with neither side particularly forcing anything going forward.
Yellow card Adrien Rabiot
16'
However, it is clear that PSG are set on strengthening ahead of the new campaign. They have already signed Dani Alves on a free and have reportedly agreed a world-record deal that would see Neymar join from Barcelona for a whopping £195 million! A certain Alexis Sanchez is also rumoured to be top of their target list and the thought of the potential attacking options at the disposal of Emery is beyond enviable.
13'
Triumphing again in this event would certainly help Emery's men build some momentum ahead of their quest to regain the Ligue 1 crown. They surrendered their four-year hold on the trophy to Monaco last term and, despite capturing the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue, that was a huge disappointment for PSG.
11'
As touched upon earlier, the French giants are aiming for a third International Champions Cup title this year. Since first appearing in the tournament in 2015, Les Parisiens are unbeaten in seven matches - winning six - while the only time they failed to win was courtesy of a penalty shootout defeat by Chelsea.
9'
PSG are applying a decent spell of pressure on Roma after forcing a couple of corners. However, the Giallorossi are able to deal with the danger on both occasions.
7'
With Wojciech Szczesny's loan spell ending and the Pole moving on to Juventus, it is very much in the air with regards to the identity of Roma's number one for the start of this season. Therefore, today is a good opportunity for Alisson to stake his claim, although it was very nearly the worst possible start for him.
5'
NERVY! An early scare for Alisson, who takes an extra touch before his attempted clearance is blocked. Fortunately, the ball ends up going away from goal and out for a throw-in.
3'
Both sides finished second in their respective leagues last season and, therefore, will be eager to build some momentum here ahead of their quests to go the extra step this forthcoming term.
1'
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and PSG get the match underway!
Meanwhile, Unai Emery has also named a strong starting 11 for this opening match in Michigan. New signing Dani Alves makes his first start since arriving on a free transfer from Juventus and starts in a back four that also includes Thiago Silva and Marquinhos. Thiago Motta will provide support to the back four and give freedom to the likes of Javier Pastore and Lucas Moura, while Jese Rodriguez leads the attack.
Eusebio Di Francesco has named a fairly strong team as he continues to get a feel for his new squad. The former Sassuolo coach has included three new signings in the starting line-up, including veterans Hector Moreno and Maxime Gonalons as well as rising star Lorenzo Pellegrini, while more established faces such as Kostas Manolas and Juan Jesus in defence and the forward trio of Juan Iturbe, Diego Perotti and talisman Edin Dzeko have the chance to get some valuable minutes under their belt.
The home of the Detroit Tigers is the venue for what promises to be a mouth-watering encounter between two of the biggest clubs in Europe. Roma are back in the popular pre-season event following a two-year absence, while PSG are eyeing a third consecutive title.

HERE THEY COME! The teams are making their way out onto the field and kick-off is just moments away...
HALF-TIME: ROMA 0-1 PSG
Marquinhos' goal is the difference between the sides following a generally low-key first half at Comerica Park. It is fair to say that the focus appears to be on getting minutes under the belt as opposed to producing top-quality football.
The players are making their way back out onto the field for the second half and it looks like there have been a few changes at the break for both sides.
FULL-TIME: ROMA 1-1 PSG
Sadiq Umar cancelled out Marquinhos' first-half effort with a neat finish after the break. However, neither side could find a winner and the match will be decided by penalties shortly...
1-0! Lucas Moura is first up for PSG and makes no mistake.
1-1! Bruno Peres also makes no mistake and Roma are off the mark.
2-1! Alisson gets a hand to Nkunku's penalty, but cannot keep it out.
2-2! We're all square again, as Nainggolan lifts his kick high and away from Areola.
3-2! Very calmly done by Callegari, who sends Alisson the wrong way.
ADVANTAGE PSG! Gerson is the first player to miss after sweeping his kick against the outside of the post.
4-2! Edourad sends Alisson the wrong way to strengthen PSG's advantage.
4-3! De Rossi keeps Roma alive with a very calm penalty. However, Marquinhos can win it here...
PSG WIN! Marquinhos calmly sweeps the ball home to give the Ligue 1 side victory!
So, Paris Saint-Germain prevailed 5-3 on penalties against Roma, with whom they played out a 1-1 draw over 90 minutes. Marquinhos tucked home the decisive kick after Gerson missed Roma's third spot-kick.
That's all from Michigan! Thank you for following our LIVE coverage of the 2017 International Champions Cup - hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, see you soon!
