Sanchez gets away from Tuanzebe and tries to pick out the run of Ramsey to the near post. There's just too much on his pass, though, and it's out for a goal-kick. United go up the other end and McTominay's volley is held comfortably by Cech.
90'
There are going to be at least three minutes of added times.
88'
United are trying to pull something back but they're lacking conviction in the final third, like they have for most of the match.
86'
Sending on McTominay rather than Pogba seems to show that Mourinho is foregoing the Premier League's battle for a top-four finish in order to focus on winning the Europa League.
84'
Héctor Bellerín enters the game and replaces A. Oxlade-Chamberlain.
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces D. Welbeck.
S. McTominay enters the game and replaces Mata.
Giroud is given a short run out in place of Welbeck.
Bellerin enters the fray with Oxlade-Chamberlain making way.
A final change from United sees McTominay replace Mata for his debut.
83'
Gibbs frustrates Rashford on the right and restricts him to a corner. It's taken short to Lingard, who hands a delivery into the box that Arsenal head clear. They seem confident of seeing out a valuable three points.
81'
OVER THE TOP! Rashford gets United's first touch in the box, providing a cutback that Koscielny blocks and Holding clears. It drops for Rooney, who curls another effort high of the target!
80'
Oxlade-Chamberlain tries to get beyond Darmian with a charge to the byline but he's penalised for a push on the Italian. He berates the referee's assistant on the far side, clearly disagreeing.
78'
There are just 12 minutes remaining and United have still yet to touch the ball inside the Arsenal box this half. It's always going to be difficult to mount a comeback when you can't even get in the area.

Description
76'
F. Coquelin enters the game and replaces G. Xhaka.
Xhaka appears to have picked up a calf injury and is not going to be able to continue. Coquelin comes on in his place.
74'
CLOSE! Rooney tries to bend a shot into the top-left corner from 20 yards, but he floats it just over and wide. Cech could do nothing but watch. That would've been a spectacular goal!
73'
Mourinho's changes haven't really helped United get back into this. Arsenal still look more threatening when they manage to push forward.
71'
That's brilliant from Ozil! The Germany international seems to glide into the box, skipping over Rooney's challenge before flashing the ball across the face of goal. It's too far ahead of Welbeck once more, though.
70'
OPTA STAT: Oxlade-Chamberlain now has as many assists for Arsenal in this Premier League season as in his previous five combined (7).
68'
Arsenal break from the free-kick and Tuanzebe lets a high ball bounce in the box and gets outmuscled by Ramsey. His attempt to find a team-mate in the middle is cleared only as far as Xhaka, who volleys wide.
67'
L. Koscielny gets yellow.
Koscielny is shown a yellow card for a poor challenge on Martial as he looks to advance down the right.
66'
Ozil attempts to free Welbeck in the box but his pass is overhit and the striker is unable to get on the end of it. It's been a fairly quiet afternoon for the German.
65'
Lingard quickly moves away from Oxlade-Chamberlain with an impressive first touch and the wing-back catches him. United are awarded the free-kick 30 yards out and Rooney goes directly for goal. It's definitely hitting the target, but Cech sees it all the way and parries behind.
63'
M. Rashford enters the game and replaces Ander Herrera.
Rashford is on now. With Herrera going off it looks like Rooney will drop into midfield alongside Carrick.
61'
J. Lingard enters the game and replaces H. Mkhitaryan.
Here comes Lingard. It's Mkhitaryan who makes way. Rashford is also ready on the sidelines, so he'll be entering shortly too.
60'
OPTA STAT: Welbeck has scored in each of his last three Arsenal appearances versus United.
59'
Mourinho has Lingard ready to come on in the second half. He knows United need to chase this game now.
57'
D. Welbeck has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by A. Oxlade-Chamberlain.
After seeing his first cross blocked by Darmian, Oxlade-Chamberlain stayed positive and now has two assists to his name.
GOOOOOOAAAAL!! WELBECK GETS THE SECOND!! Oxlade-Chamberlain whips an excellent pass into the box that is too high for Smalling. Welbeck gets between him and Tuanzebe to power a head in off the underside of the bar for a goal against his former team. De Gea had no chance!
56'
It will be interesting to see how United respond to this. They won't want to just sit back and invite the pressure, as another goal could well put it beyond their reach. Still, Mourinho won't want them rushing anything just yet.
54'
G. Xhaka has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by A. Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Oxlade-Chamberlain wouldn't have anticipated his sideways pass midway inside the United half ending up as an assists, but that's precisley what has happened!
GOOOOOOOAAAAAL!! WHAT A GOAL FROM XHAKA! He's not closed down and decides to unleash a shot from 30 yards. It hits the back of Herrera and loops up, flying over De Gea and dipping under the crossbar!
52'
Arsenal's control hasn't lasted long, actually. United are proving more than capable of keeping hold of possession themselves, but a route behind Arsenal's high defence is proving difficult for them to find.
50'
OPTA STAT: Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over United at the Emirates last season is their only win in 11 Premier League games against them (D4 L6).
48'
The second half has begun how the first finished, with Arsenal dictating the play and United content to sit back and look for counter-attacking opportunities.
46'
We are back underway!
45' +1
There is the half-time whistle!
45'
There will only be one minute of added time.
43'
Sanchez attempts a one-two with Oxlade-Chamberlain but the England international supplies him with an overhit return pass that United mop up. Mourinho's side seem content to sit back and hold out until half-time.
41'
The tempo has slowed since that flurry of action around the half-hour mark. Arsenal are playing more of the expect role now, though, controlling possession and working across the pitch in order to probe for openings.
39'
OPTA STAT: Arsenal midfielder Xhaka was completed all 31 of his passes so far today.
38'
We've got a break in play after a clash of heads between Monreal and Herrera. The United man appears to come off worse, but neither player goes off for treatment before the action resumes.
37'
Welbeck controls a pass from Sanchez with a header free in the centre of the box, but as he goes for an ambitious overhead kick he misses the ball and the offside flag goes up! That was a pretty marginal call.
36'
Ozil feeds Ramsey with an incisive ball to the edge of the area, but the Welshman has it hooked away from him by Jones. It's been an enthralling first half. Will we get a goal before the interval?
34'
Smalling sends a wayward pass out for a throw-in near the halfway line rather than get Tuanzebe involved to his right. Mkhitaryan appears to point that out, and Mourinho gets up from his seat to try and rile the players with some applause.
32'
ROONEY SHOULD'VE SCORED! Holding is pressured in the corner and opts to play the ball back into the box. Cech and Koscielny hesitate and Rooney pounces, latching onto the ball before being denied by the onrushing keeper! Poor communication in the Arsenal defence there.
31'
It's all getting a bit frantic now! Ramsey narrowly misses a cross inside the six-yard box, with Ozil keeping it alive at the back post despite United claiming the ball hand gone out. Arsenal work it to Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose deflected shot is batted away by De Gea!
30'
WELBECK! That was a great chance! Sanchez once more creates the opening with a final throughball for Ramsey. He holds off his marker and drills a pass towards Welbeck, whose first-time shot is blocked by Smalling. Sanchez is livid! He'd followed his pass and wanted it back.
28'
Sanchez slips a pass towards the byline for Ramsey to chase. The Welshman tries to stand the ball up at the back post but he cannot get his foot around it enough to keep it in play.
27'
GOOD BLOCK! An Arsenal corner falls for Welbeck at the back post and he controls it before taking a touch to try and spin away from Jones and get a shot in. He does just that, but the centre-back slides to get a leg in the way.
26'
Herrera releases Mata down the right with an excellent ball. The former Chelsea man swings an early cross into the box with Mkhitaryan free, but he only finds Cech's hands.
24'
Another positive run down the left from Gibbs sees the referee play on after a tug back from Mata. He loves to dribble across the top of the box but Carrick dispossesses him. Koscielny concedes a corner in a race with Martial as United look to break, and Rooney heads wide from the set-piece.
22'
Arsenal opt to sit a bit deeper after the corner and United find it tough to break through their bank of nine players, five at the back with four in front of them.
20'
Tuanzebe sets off down the right and is sent to ground by Sanchez, winning a free-kick in a dangerous area. Mata floats it to the back post for Mkhitaryan and his header back into the middle is put out for a corner.
19'
After a dominant start from United, Arsenal have started to take control of the action. They're seeing more of the ball and keeping United penned back inside their own half for longer periods.
17'
Gibbs is proving a real threat down the left, with Mata not always quick to follow his runs. The wing-back earns a corner which Ozil takes short to Sanchez, before Oxlade-Chamberlain passes straight to Martial. However, a handball by the Frenchman gives Arsenal another chance.
15'
Ramsey slides a lovely pass down the right-hand channel for Welbeck, but the curl on it sends him away from goal rather than into the box. That enables Jones to get goal-side and hold up the striker, who loses out to Herrera when attempt to drive inside onto his left foot.
14'
Oxlade-Chamberlain sees his cross headed away by Tuanzebe and the young right-back then plays a give-an-go with Martial, who knocks the return pass beyond Koscielny and draws a foul inside the Arsenal half to alleviate the pressure.
13'
It's been an expansive start to proceedings, with both teams keen to attack and create openings. Cech and De Gea have already been called into action, but Arsenal will hope they can start to dictate terms more as the half continues.
11'
OPTA STAT: Mourinho has faced Arsenal without losing more times in the Premier League than he has any other side (12 - W5 D7 L0).
9'
SUPERB FROM DE GEA! Rooney's delivery is far too deep and Sanchez is able to bring it down on his chest and look to set Arsenal forward. After they advance the Chilean pops up in a central area, sliding an excellent pass through to Ramsey, whose cross-goal shot is palmed behind by De Gea.
8'
United have seen the majority of possession so far in north London. Martial wriggles his way into the box before being tackled, but Herrera latches onto the loose ball and earns a corner off Holding.
6'
GOOD SAVE! Mkhitaryan feeds Rooney with a first-time pass and he carries it forwards before sliding a pass in behind to Martial. The striker gets across Koscielny and stabs a shot towards the near post which Cech diverts behind. Rooney's corner is cleared by Arsenal and their attempt to counter-attack hits a dead end.
5'
Xhaka sends a brilliant pass downt he left for Gibbs, and his cross is held up by former United striker Welbeck in the box. He helps the ball onto Sanchez, who takes it to the byline and is denied by De Gea from an acute angle.
4'
Jones releases Mkhitaryan down the right and the Armenian is scythed down by Oxlade-Chamberlain. The makeshift wing-back gets away without a booking from referee Andre Marriner, though.
3'
Mata fires in a great cross from the left and Rooney makes a run to the near post to meet it with a header. He is underneath the ball and can't keep it down, but it's a positive start for United.

Arsenal get the action going at Emirates Stadium!
Hello and welcome to what should be an enthralling encounter between two of the Premier League's heavyweights - Arsenal and Manchester United.
This is a huge match in the top-four ambitions of two former Premier League champions. United will be hoping to close the four-point gap to rivals Manchester City with a win, though their focus is now primarily on winning the Europa League - as is evident from their team selection, but more on that in a minute.
Arsenal simply cannot afford to slip up today. They are nine points adrift of City, and, although they will still have a game in hand after this match, defeat would surely make a place in next season's Champions League highly unlikely. Having featured in the last 18 editions of the competition, that will be a huge blow.
Arsenal (3-4-3): Petr Cech; Rob Holding, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs; Mesut Ozil, Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez.
Let's take a look at the teams for today's clash at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal bench: David Ospina, Gabriel, Hector Bellerin, Francis Coquelin, Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud.
Manchester United bench: Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford.
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Axel Tuanzebe, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Matteo Darmian; Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera; Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial; Wayne Rooney.
That’s no fewer than eight changes from Mourinho, following through on his suggestion that players could be rested against Arsenal if it would help their chances of reaching the Europa League final. Having only won 1-0 at Celta Vigo in their first leg on Thursday, the Portuguese clearly feels there is plenty more to do in the return fixture at Old Trafford.
Wenger makes two changes after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to north London rivals Tottenham last week. Holding replaces Gabriel in defence and Welbeck leads the line in Giroud's stead.
Tuanzebe is given a full Premier League debut at right-back, while Smalling (knee), Jones (toe) and Mata (groin) return from their respective injuries to feature in the first XI. Rooney and Martial are also handed starting berths, with Darmian, Herrera and Mkhitaryan the only survivors from Thursday's match in Spain.
Although Mourinho has rotated his team heavily, he will still be keen to get one over on old foe Wenger. The pair have never really seen eye to eye since Mourinho's first stint as Chelsea manager began in 2004. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out!
The teams are out on the pitch, so we will be underway imminently!
HALF-TIME - Arsenal 0-0 United: The first half at Emirates Stadium fails to produce any goals, but it did provide plenty of excitement. De Gea was forced into a couple of impressive saves, the best coming when he kept out Ramsey with a strong right hand. Cech has been active too, reacting quickly to keep out Martial and Rooney across the opening period.
FULL-TIME - Arsenal 2-0 United: After 25 matches without defeat, Mourinho's men go down to goals from Xhaka and Welbeck at Emirates Stadium. Wenger ends his Premier League hoodoo against the Portuguese and keeps his side's top-four hopes alive in the process.
That's all for today. Thanks for joining us and have a great day!
If Arsenal win their game in hand they will displace United in fifth and move to three points behind Manchester City. It's going to be a tense end to the season, that's for sure! United, though, will quickly turn their attention to the Europa League and hope to book safe passage to the final on Thursday.
