There's the final whistle! Roma are out and Fiorentina progress!
90' +4
Ljajic wriggles in off the left before attempting to find Verde for a shot at goal, but the youngster is beaten to the ball by a white shirt and the moment is lost.
90' +3
Tomovic decides to get up into the box, and he attempts to knock Joaquin's floated cross to the back post back into the centre, but Manolas cushions it into the arms of Skorupski with his chest.
90' +1
We are going to have four minutes of added time.
90'
K. Babacar enters the game and replaces M. Gómez.
Gomez now takes his leave of the field, with Khouma Babacar replacing him for the remaining minutes.
89'
M. Gómez has scored a goal for Fiorentina! Assist by M. Pasqual.
GOOOOOAAAAL!! GOMEZ GETS HIS SECOND! It's the same combination as on the first, with the German controlling Pasqual's cross before getting the better of Astori and firing into the back of the net! Fiorentina are surely into the semi-final.
88'
Time is running out for Roma, now. Are they going to be able to keep their Coppa Italia campaign alive with an equaliser?
86'
Nainggolan is caught in possession on the edge of his own box by Pasqual, presenting the captain with a great opportunity to wrap up the win. He proves too hesitant and has to settle for a corner, though.
85'
Astori goes into the book now following his late challenge on Joaquin. He protests his innocence, but there can be no doubting that it was worthy of a yellow card.
84'
D. Astori gets yellow.
WHAT A CHALLENGE! Keita spots a forward run from Cole and plays a brilliant pass into his path. However, the left-back is tracked by Joaquin who slides in to make a vital tackle and Tatarusanu mops up the loose ball.
Minute
Description
83'
Florenzi curls the set-piece towards the far post but Tatarusanu comes from his line to punch it into touch. Roma take the throw quickly but Pjanic's cross is quickly cleared away.
82'
Roma are becoming increasingly desperate, but Ljajic manages to draw a foul from Badelj out on the left. The hosts have another chance to get the ball into the box now.
80'
D. Verde enters the game and replaces Maicon.
Pjanic whips the free kick into the box and Astori gets on the end of it, only to send a powerful header high over the roof of the goal. Now Verde enters the action, with Maicon making way.
79'
M. Fernández enters the game and replaces Borja Valero.
Montella opts to make a substitution just before his team defend a free kick, with Borja Valero making way for Mati Fernandez. Daniele Verde is ready on the touchline too, but he'll come on after the set-piece.
77'
The Viola go so close to getting a second! They break at pace, with Gomez flicking a pass down the line for Pasqual. The captain curls a cross into the box which Ilicic loops onto the crossbar, but as Borja Valero chases up the rebound he spots the flag up on the far side for an offside decision against the substitute.
75'
Savic catches Ibarbo with a high foot just outside the box, putting his studs on the Colombian's chest. Unbelievably, the referee sees nothing wrong with the challenge and signals only for a goal kick.
74'
Fiorentina catch Roma short at the back and space opens up for Borja Valero to run into. Gomez makes a run beyond him, dragging the defenders with him and creating a bigger gap. The Spaniard, however, plays him a pass anyway, which is intercepted.
73'
V. Ibarbo enters the game and replaces F. Totti.
Here comes Ibarbo for his Roma debut, replacing Totti for the remainder.
72'
The Viola don't look ready to sit back on this one-goal advantage, though, and are continuing to play the ball in high areas. Still, it is only Gomez looking to get in behind the defence.
70'
J. Iličić enters the game and replaces A. Diamanti.
Montella makes his first substitution of the night, bringing Josip Ilicic on in place of Diamanti.
69'
Fiorentina have really restricted Roma since the interval, with Florenzi, Totti and Ljajic all barely involved. The Giallorossi's recent run of sub-standard form shows no sign of ending.
67'
Well, Garcia's first change hasn't had the desired effect, and the only attacking option he has on the bench is new signing Ibarbo, whose been out of action for around six weeks!
65'
M. Gómez has scored a goal for Fiorentina! Assist by M. Pasqual.
GOOOOOAAAAL!! GOMEZ GIVES FIORENTINA THE LEAD! The German has been far more influential since the break, and this time his near-post run reaps rewards as he gets a touch on Pasqual's cross to find the back of the net with the help of the far post!
64'
Borja Valero gets yellow.
Borja Valero is the next player into the book following his challenge on Cole. The referee has been fairly inconsistent with his cards out tonight, deeming many similar challenges as bookings and some not.
62'
Diamanti slides a great pass down the channel for Borja Valero, and the Spaniard centres from close to the byline for Gomez. The German stutters on his run to the near post, and subsequently gets beaten to the ball by Manolas.
61'
The tempo of the game has begun to slow again, with Roma holding possession very deep inside their own half. The hosts' full-backs have been less influential and subsequently the forwards are receiving less service.
59'
The Bosnian's first action is to clip a free kick into the box, which is too deep but Totti keeps it alive on the far side. He spots Ljajic bursting into the box and tries to roll a pass into his path, but he puts it just behind the former Fiorentina man.
58'
M. Pjanić enters the game and replaces L. Paredes.
The first change of the night is made by Rudi Garcia, withdrawing Paredes and introducing Pjanic for the remaining half an hour or so.
56'
The deliveries from Fiorentina are improving in both frequency and quality. Diamanti clips one into the box from the left, though Gomez is the only person in there looking for a finish. He chases the ball out to the right to keep the attack alive and commits a foul on Cole in the process.
54'
Fiorentina have monopolised the ball since the interval, forcing Roma back inside their own half. Joaquin is not closed down on the right and he whips a cracking cross into the middle, which Gomez gets ahead of Manolas to get his on. Skorupski can do nothing, but breathes a sigh of relief when the header drops outside the far post!
52'
Maicon catches Pasqual with a late challenge on the near side, and the referee awards the visitors a free kick. Diamanti clips it into the box but his delivery is too high for Basanta to get his head to.
50'
Diamanti curls a lovely pass into the box which Astori fails to cut out. Gomez spings to try and help it goalwards but Skoruspki smothers the ball before he can do so. It wouldn't have counted anyway as the German was, once more, in an offside position.
48'
DIAMANTI! Fiorentina forge their best opening of the night, with Badelj rolling a pass down the line for Joaquin. The Spaniard cuts the ball back to Diamanti on the edge of the box, but he rifles an absolute missile wide of the target.
47'
R. Nainggolan gets yellow.
Nainggolan goes into the book for taking down Diamanti as he looked to stride forward on a break. The Belgian is adamant he won the ball, but the replays show the fact to be quite the opposite!
46'
We're back underway!
45'
There is the half-time whistle!
44'
Badelj steps up the pace of his team in possession, playing a one-two with Diamanti at the top of the box. He pulls the trigger from 20 yards but sends a bouncing effort far from the target. Skorupski's barely had anything to do so far tonight.
42'
The Viola respond well, going up the other end and earning a corner. Diamanti whips it to the near post where Gomez gets his head to the ball, but he cannot divert the ball at Skorupski's goal.
41'
OVER THE TOP! Florenzi slides a pass down the line for Nainggolan, though there's no one in the box for him to cross to. He still manages to pick out Maicon at the top of the box with a cutback, and the Brazilian tees up Paredes for a shot. The on-loan midfielder lets fly with an effort that spins off target.
39'
Fiorentina put a promising string of passes together inside the final third, but they are guilty of overplaying the ball as Diamanti attempts to pick out Pasqual on the far side of the box. Someone should have just got a shot away as Skorupski hasn't been tested since his earlier hiccup.
37'
Paredes is clipped on the heel by Diamanti as he angles a pass towards the top of the box, so the referee awards Roma a free kick. Ljajic delivers it but he fails to get it beyond Gomez, who heads it into touch midway up the half.
35'
M. Badelj gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the match is shown, with Badelj the recipient. It needed to happen as numerous niggly challenges have been flying in recently.
34'
Fiorentina look very tidy when they get possession, but there is next to no penetration from them. The movement of Gomez has been minimal so far, and with Gilardino waiting on the bench he may want to pick up his game soon.
32'
The rain keeps on pouring in Rome. The home side look the more likely to break the deadlock but a series of fouls has led to the game entering a rather bitty spell in the last few minutes.
30'
SO CLOSE! Maicon whips a cross in from the right which is a little too high for Florenzi, but Tomovic's clearance only gets as far as Nainggolan. The Belgian releases another thunderous strike from 20 yards which cannons off Cole and heads on target. Tatarusanu reacts quick, however, batting it away and keeping it out of his net.
28'
The two side’s met at this stage of the Coppa Italia in the 2012-13 season, with Roma running out 1-0 winners after extra time in Florence.
26'
Ljajic bends a corner in from the right and Tatarusanu punches it straight back out behind. The second delivery heads towards Nainggolan, who catches Pasqual on the arm when attempting a scissor kick, so the referee awards the visitors with a free kick.
24'
Diamanti is playing in a very free role, regularly coming deep to receive the ball and dish it out to his team-mates. They don't have enough movement ahead of their well-manned midfield, though, making it difficult for them to penetrate Roma's resilient defence.
22'
The Giallorossi are far more direct with their attacking play, with Maicon chipping a pass into the box quickly. Florenzi runs in to meet it at the back post but Joaquin tracks him all the way and makes a crucial interception.
21'
Fiorentina are enjoying a good spell in possession, which has lasted for a few minutes, but the hosts get men back and show great discipline behind the ball. Possession is soon regained and they look to mount an attack of their own.
19'
The slippery surface is making it difficult for both teams to create openings. The latest chances have come from individual errors, which are no doubt caused by the greasiness of the ball.
17'
Nainggolan attempts to shepherd the ball out of play by the corner flag but Joaquin shows great determination to chase him down and keep it live. He has time to pick out a cross, but he ends up firing it far too deep for any of his team-mates in the box to get on the end of. Roma break and Pasqual's last-ditch tackle deflects an effort from Ljajic wide of the upright.
15'
Almost a costly mistake from Skorupski! The keeper fails to deal with a pass over the top, slicing the ball to his side and opening the door to Gomez. However, Manolas gets in front of the former Germany international to make an important challenge to keep him from sliding a shot into the empty net!
14'
Nainggolan again spots a gap in the Fiorentina defence and rolls a pass into it for the overlapping run of Cole. The ball skids off the wet surface and has too much pace for the former Chelsea left-back to bring it under control inside the box.
13'
Almost a mix-up at the back as a long pass up from the back is flicked on by Totti and Florenzi chases it down. Tomovic attempts to shepherd it back to Tatarusanu, forcing the keeper to rush from his line and hook it into touch moments before the Roma winger arrives.
12'
Fiorentina earn a corner and catch Roma unaware by taking it short, though they still fail to get the ball into the middle. Eventually Pasqual's attempted cross is deflected behind for another set-piece, which again the Viola fail to test Skorupski from.
10'
Totti flights a free kick from a deep position into the box and Astori gets his head to it. He directs the ball on target, though it is close to Tatarusanu and he holds the effort comfortably.
9'
FLORENZI! The winger comes in off the right and is picked out by a wonderful, dinked pass from Nainggolan. He takes it first time but, under pressure from the opposition defence, he steers his shot wide of the far post!
8'
Fiorentina’s last win against the Giallorossi at the Olimpico came back in April 2012, with Adem Ljajic, then a Viola player, assisting Andrea Lazzari for the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory.
6'
NAINGGOLAN! The ball falls to the Belgian midfield on the edge of the box after Pasqual's block on a cross from the right, and he takes a touch to bring it down. He is quickly closed down by two white shirts but manages to get a shot away, though he cannot aim it far enough to the side of Tatarusanu to pick out a corner.
5'
Badelj rolls a pass down the outside of the defence for Diamanti to chase in behind, but the forward was in an offside position when the ball was played. Shortly after, Gomez is then caught in an illegal position when receiving a pass!
3'
Neither team has really settled into a dominant rhythm in the early stages, and a clumsy challenge on Diamanti from Cole results in a free kick to the Viola. They take it short and try to get a feel for possession inside the opening minutes.

We are underway in Rome!
Hello and welcome to tonight's LIVE coverage of the Coppa Italia quarter-final clash between Roma and Fiorentina. The Stadio Olimpico is our destination tonight as two of Serie A's current top six go head-to-head for a place in the semi-final against Juventus. My name is Tom Webber, and I will be guiding you through all the action.
Roma dropped points in Serie A for the fourth time in a row with their 1-1 draw with Empoli on Saturday, and they needed extra time to defeat the Tuscan side in the previous round of the Coppa Italia despite a home advantage. A positive result tonight is hugely important for them as it would provide a much-needed boost to their faltering title challenge, even though Juventus failed to increase their advantage at the summit of the league at the weekend.
The Giallorossi's recent run of form has enable Fiorentina to close in on them, but the gap between the two sides in Serie A remains at a hefty 11 points. The Viola took points off tonight's opponents little over a week ago, but that result came at the Artemio Franchi. They play away from their own patch tonight so will have their work cut out for them if they are to advance.
ROMA TEAM NEWS: Juan Iturbe is out with an injury picked up against Empoli at the weekend, while Gervinho remains on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. Midfield duo Daniele De Rossi and Kevin Strootman are also injured, so Leandro Paredes is drafted into the starting line-up to give Miralem Pjanic a rest. Morgan De Sanctis is replaced in goal by Lukasz Skorpuski and new recruits Victor Ibarbo and Nicolas Spolli are on the bench.
FIORENTINA TEAM NEWS: Juan Cuadrado departed for Chelsea on Monday, but Mohamed Salah, Alberto Gilardino and Alessandro Diamanti have been brought in, and the latter retains his place in the starting line-up. There are four changes from Vincenzo Montella, though, with Mario Gomez, Manuel Pasqual, David Pizarro and Stefan Savic coming in.
We are just a few minutes away from kick off now, and it's worth noting beforehand that Roma have won nine of their last 10 home matches against Fiorentina in all competitions.
The teams are out on the pitch and the action will commence in a few seconds.
HALF TIME - Roma 0-0 Fiorentina: It remains all square after the opening 45 minutes at the Stadio Olimpico. The Giallorossi have forged more openings, and while the Viola have looked more confident in possession, they've lacked any penetration so far. Nainggolan has been impressive, though, and he'll be hoping to spur his team on to the opening goal in this Coppa Italia quarter-final after the break. Stay tuned!
The teams are heading back out onto the pitch, so the second half will begin in a few moments.
FULL TIME - Roma 0-2 Fiorentina: The Viola book a Coppa Italia semi-final date with Juventus thanks to a pair of second-half strikes from Gomez. The Giallorossi's dismal start to 2015 continues, and they'll have to turn their attentions to picking up a much-needed win at Cagliari on Sunday. Montella's men were brilliant in the second half and thoroughly deserve the victory.
That is all from me, Tom Webber, for this evening. Thanks for joining me and I hope you have a great night!
