But that's it! A blocked Huddlestone shot is the last action of the day and the game finishes Hull City 2 Crystal Palace 0.
90' +4
Bolasie loses it to Huddlestone and Ramirez wins a free-kick deep. Hull don't need to attack now. But they still play it fowards and Diame sets Rosenior free, before Huddlestone takes the return and finds Diame deep in the Palace box.
90' +3
Palace are still going for it, which is a credit to them, but as has been the story of this game, their end product is often bereft of quality. Neil Warnock is staring the end of his unbeaten run as Palace manager in the face. He looks as grumpy as ever.
90' +2
A. Bruce enters the game and replaces Ahmed El Mohamady.
Rosenior clears and Palace have a throw which goes long towards the Hull box. The Tigers clear but Speroni sends it back in their direction. The ball ping-pongs about in the middle of the park a bit.
90' +1
There will again be four minutes of extra time, and Alex Bruce is coming on for El Mohamady, who has posed a threat all afternoon without really producing.
90'
OFF THE LINE! Straight down the other end for a corner and Rosenior clears superbly off the line from a Delaney header.
89'
N. Jelavić has scored a goal for Hull City! Assist by J. Livermore.
JELAVIC!! GOAL! And that will kill the game off. Jelavic is released beautifully by Livermore, sends Kelly the wrong way, and pokes it in with the outside of his right boot. That was a great finish.
87'
Hull are a little more settled now. Huddlestone is trying to keep a slow, sensible tempo and Rosenior is not hurtling forwards like Robertson did. This is what Hull need to do. It might be boring, but it's three points.
85'
Jelavic slides in and blocks an attempted Speroni clearance but there are no Hull players nearby to take advantage of the keeper's position. That was good from the Croatian, who is working harder now following a telling-off from Bruce.
84'
Ramirez wins a corner from Kelly after Delaney swings wildly and misses at a clearance. He takes the corner himself and Speroni claws at the ball without making contact.
Minute
Description
83'
Huddlestone tidies up after Rosenior loses the ball. Hull are sensibly trying to keep the ball in the middle now, and Palace are upping their efforts to press and win the ball back.
82'
Puncheon fires over after Gayle forces a block from a Hull defender. The Palace man was under pressure but his product has been consistently poor today, a few corners aside.
81'
L. Rosenior enters the game and replaces A. Robertson.
80'
Andrew Robertson is being replaced by the more defensive and rugged Liam Rosenior. Robertson's telling contribution was the deliciously teasing cross for Diame's goal and he did well going fowards throughout. Rosenior will hope to help preserve the lead and sit a bit deeper.
79'
Frantic should benefit Crystal Palace and they will be able to force a few more set-pieces. They will need to do better than that effort though, which is easily cleared by Hull.
78'
Aimless long passing from Hull gifts the ball back to the away side. Hull need to have confidence in the solidity of their formation and play like they did in the first half, but both teams are entering that frantic time before the end of the game.
76'
G. Ramírez enters the game and replaces A. Hernández.
Bolasie barges over El Mohamady as the two continue their tussle, which has been one of the more entertaining features of this afternoon. Hull whump it fowards but Palace clear with ease. Hull work it wide through Diame and Robertson but Speroni gathers.
74'
Bolasie's corner is good but Puncheon contrives to clear it away from the goal he should be trying to score in. Bolasie delivers again and Puncheon, unmarked, heads over from six yards out. Ramirez comes on for Hernandez, which is a straight Uruguayan swap.
73'
GOOD SAVE HARPER! Puncheon has another two good crosses and then Bolasie hammers a swerving effort in from wide left. Harper palms it over well for a corner.
72'
Puncheon swings in a cross for Gayle. Ledley gathers the clearance and Palace come again. Bolasie is crowded out but Hull turn over possession again as Livermore dawdles. Hull need to get a grip on this.
71'
Hull have a free-kick and Dawson sends it out to El Mohamady who loses possession to Ward. Hull quickly win it back though, then lose it again. This is exactly what the Tigers need to avoid.
70'
D. Gayle enters the game and replaces J. McArthur.
69'
Hull concede a throw and McArthur comes off for Dwight Gayle, who has only scored one Premier League goal this season. The away side will go to a 4-4-2.
68'
Robertson sets off on another of his cavalier dashes. Palace win the throw though. Hull need to be careful not to over-commit as Palace do have pace on the counter. The 3-5-2 should allow Hull to kill this game dead now, as long as they keep their concentration levels up.
66'
The game is a little more open now and Palace may look to exploit that by bringing on a striker or three.
64'
M. Chamakh enters the game and replaces F. Campbell.
Robertson is robbed by Chamakh and the Moroccan finds Puncheon in space. His cross is poor but Palace win the corner.
Puncheon's corner is good and fast and no-one gets near it. The ball finds its way to the Eagles' winger again, but Harper claims it well under no meaningful pressure.
63'
Marouane Chamakh is on for Frazier Campbell. Campbell has hardly had a sniff of the ball and did seem content to rile up Michael Dawson rather than do much else.
62'
The Hull fans are now singing loudly as Diame gives the ball away in the middle of the park. Palace then give it away and Hull break down the flanks. The Diame header was the first effort by either side which was on target.
60'
M. Diamé has scored a goal for Hull City! Assist by A. Robertson.
DIAME SCORES! The Palace attack breaks down and Hull find Robertson who dinks in a lovely cross which Diame heads firmly past Speroni from six yards out. That was good and it came from the route you would expect, an over-lapping wing-back.
59'
Jedinak fouls Huddlestone and there is confusion in the box. Hernandez also gets away a shot but Palace break through Puncheon.
57'
Delaney reacts well there to concede a corner as El Mohamady delivers a very deep cross to the Palace back post. Huddlestone sends in a good corner and Palace scramble it free. The move ends with Davies launching a centre-back's shot very high from the edge of the box.
55'
A. Mariappa gets yellow.
Jelavic hits the wall, gets the rebound, and hits the wall again. There was an option to release Robertson there, but strikers will be strikers.
54'
Diame drives forwards but his pass to Jelavic is short and allows a Palace defender to get a foot in. Diame gathers, sets Robertson free and the Scot is fouled. Dangerous free-kick for Hull.
53'
Hull take the resulting free-kick and the back three and the ever deeper-dropping Huddlestone play it among themselves. Dawson strokes it fowards but Kelly heads clear.
51'
Hull City are about to bring on Brady, it appears, perhaps to give them some more teeth. Bolasie is fouled by El Mohamady and Palace have a good chance from wide left to get a cross in from this free-kick.
Puncheon bends it in and Bolasie and Huddlestone contest it, the ball going out for a corner from the big Hull midfielder. Jedinak and Harper contest it and the ball goes out for another corner. Harper and Davies tangle from the resulting corner, the defender pushed into his keeper by Jedinak.
50'
Jason Puncheon has odd-coloured boots on, one light blue and one yellow. He has changed one of them, but I couldn't tell you which.
48'
Diame bursts forwards and finds Robertson, who is tackled. Hull win the throw and Hernandez runs deep and swings in a long cross. Speroni rises well to gather, the away keeper's first significant action.
47'
Huddlestone finds El Mohamady wide with a good long ball, but the Eagles clear. The home side build again, slow and patient.
46'
Hull City start the second half and revert to the pattern of the first, playing it around before launching it long. Palace clear, and Hull build again. Can either side find a way through?
45' +4
And that's the first half done. The players trudge off, having expended plenty of effort for precious little reward.
45' +3
HERNANDEZ! A great pass from Diame finds Robertson rushing forwards. The young wing-back pulls it back to Hernandez, who drills it wide from 15 yards out. That was Hull's best chance and the striker should have hit the target.
45' +1
There will be 4 added minutes.
Steve Harper comes haring out to the edge of his box to control a clearance, not because he needed to I suspect, but because he is so bored. Yet another Hull attack breaks down with El Mohamady and Palace clear looking for Bolasie. He concedes a foul though, and we start again.
45'
There will likely be a good few minutes of extra time, which is not necessarily what any of us wanted. Jelavic heads over from the corner, reminiscent of his early effort. He should have done better with both.
44'
F. Campbell gets yellow.
Frazier Campbell looks utterly confused by his booking. He tripped Davies as the strapping centre-back beat him for pace, though, and it was a clear yellow card. Hull attack again through Robertson and a Diame shot from deep forces a corner.
42'
El Mohamady is sporting a lengthy tubigrip but should be ok to continue, which will come as a relief for Steve Bruce. Hull are still cruising but then accelerate through the gears, El Mohamady finding Huddlestone. Livermore looks for Jelavic but Palace steal it and look to break themselves.
41'
As El Mohamady gets treatment, Hull City stroke it around at the back.
39'
Mariappa beats Robertson for pace and whips in a cross. Livermore clears and Palace come again through Bolasie. Joe Ward steams through El Mohamady as Joe Ledley also contests the ball. The Egyptian is down clutching his wrist.
38'
DIAME! A great one-two between Diame and Hernandez sees the midfielder burst towards the Palace near post. He fires it wide though from around six yards. He had options, too.
36'
It's now Livermore's turn to attempt a quarterback-style Huddlestone pass. It's too long and too fast for Jelavic and Hernandez, though. Palace themselves then launch it long and Campbell grimaces as Dawson challenges him, suggesting an elbow.
35'
J. Livermore gets yellow.
Hull's 3-5-2 is preventing Palace's wingers from getting forward, but the away team are able to double up on the Tigers' wing-backs. The result is a game which is largely being played in the middle third and largely quite sterile.
34'
Jake Livermore is very late on Ward and receives a card for his troubles. Livermore acknowledged his error before he'd even been booked, such was the obviousness of it.
32'
The Eagles are growing in confidence. Some good play in the centre results in a raking ball wide right which Mariappa gallops forwards to try to control it. He gets a foot to it but fails to keep it in. Neither goalkeeper has been properly tested so far, and both managers will be annoyed by that.
31'
Diame does his best Tom Huddlestone impression, lofting a ball fowards. Unfortunately for Hull, his best is not very good and Palace win a throw-in.
30'
Bolasie overruns the ball, as is often his wont, and El Mohamady brings it clear. He is dispossessed but the long ball forward to Campbell is miscontrolled by the rangy striker and Hull have the ball back.
28'
Robertson wafts another shot over from the left, less impressively than his first effort. In truth, they are Hull's only real chances since the Jelavic header in the opening minutes. For all their possession, the home team have rarely threatened.
27'
A long, deep cross from the left looks for El Mohamady, but Ward heads it away. As the intensity of this game has upped, the rhythm and quality has dipped a bit.
25'
Huddlestone barges through a Palace player but there is no free-kick. Palace win it back, though, and push on. It's quite too-and-fro now.
23'
Jason Puncheon thinks he can score from thirty yards with a defender directly in front of him. His colleagues do not, and berate him for not passing after his scuffed shot goes harmlessly wide.
21'
Bolasie and Ward combine and a corner is won off Chester. Puncheon's corner is a mild improvement on Bolasie's last effort but it's headed clear. Hernandez looks to break but is crowded out. An El Mohamady cross limps straight out of play.
20'
Livermore finds Jelavic in the centre, who plays it wide to the over-lapping Robertson. The young Scot smashes a shot low and hard, but Speroni watches it fizz past his left-hand post.
19'
Hull seem wary of Jedinak and Ledley's ability to press, so they are keeping it centrally in their half but then looking to Huddlestone to play a long ball to Jelavic or Hernandez, or playing it wide to the wing-backs.
18'
Nice interchange between Mariappa and Bolasie on the right of the Hull box runs out of steam and Jelavic breaks. Kelly cleans up carefully and Palace look to attack down the left. Dawson clears Bolasie's cross.
17'
That was an absurd corner from Bolasie. Palace need to make those chances count if they are to get anything from this game.
16'
Crystal Palace see a promising bit of attack cleared by Livermore. Perhaps spurred on by the ease with which Hull are playing it around, they attack and win a corner.
15'
Jason Puncheon touched the ball there for what I believe was the first time. Neither of Palace's explosive wingers have yet had the chance to impose themselves, Hull looking very comfortable and also keeping possession largely in the centre before springing the wing-backs at pace.
14'
Hull will be rubbing their hands here. They've enjoyed almost all the possession and the away team has now had to rearrange their back line. Huddlestone concedes a free-kick, perhaps unluckily, for fouling Ledley. Palace need to settle.
12'
A. Mariappa enters the game and replaces S. Dann.
The first corner produces a second. Having to make a substitution before a set-play is always tough. The second corner is easily cleared by Jedinak. It looks like Kelly has gone to centre-half and Mariappa slots in on the right.
10'
It looks like Scott Dann's game is over. It appears that Dann's left knee jarred as he landed after making the block as there was no contact from any of the Tigers' players. Mariappa is going to come on in what will probably be a like-for-like swap.
9'
Dann is down after that block. Huddlestone does leather it, so I can't say I'm surprised.
8'
El Mohamady again finds a good cross into Jelavic, but the Croatian is crowded out on the penalty spot by Palace defenders. After Palace clear, El Mohamady crosses again, this time pulling it back to Huddlestone. His shot is blocked by Dann for a corner.
7'
Hull have a nice system of interchanging the deep-lying midfielders and centre-backs, and it allows them to control possession in their half. Palace are barely bothering to press in these early stages and the Tigers are seeing a lot of the ball.
5'
Steve Harper reaches a bit up but Jedinak sends it over the wall without enough dip to force a save from the veteran keeper. That was an escape for Hull and El Mohamady in particular.
4'
Delaney clears after a long ball from Huddlestone, and Hull win the throw-in. It has to be taken again and El Mohamady plays a stupid pass straight to Frazier Campbell, who is fouled by Chester to stop the attack. Free kick to Palace right on the edge of the box.
3'
A nice long ball again from Dawson, striding forward, finds Jelavic. The Tigers are looking confident in possession but Palace have so far not had enough of the ball to test the home team's weakness, their defence.
2'
Hull have had the lion's share of possession in the first minute and El Mohamady whips in a deep cross, Jelavic rising high at the back post but heading it well over. A good early chance for the home side.
1'
And they're off! Both teams are in their traditional striped kits and Palace get us underway, chasing another win on the road under Neil Warnock.
Good afternoon one and all, and welcome to this LIVE coverage of Hull City vs Crystal Palace!
I'm Alex Stewart and I'll be your host this afternoon, bringing all the action from the KC Stadium as the Tigers take on the Eagles in what promises to be an exciting and close game.
Here are the team line-ups: Hull City (3-5-2): Harper; Davies, Chester, Dawson; Robertson, Huddlestone, Livermore, Diame, El Mohamady; Hernandez, Jelavic.
Hull City substitutes: Jakupovic, Bruce, Rosenior, Quinn, Ramirez, Ben Afra, Brady.
Hull are hardly exceeding expectations so far this season, manager Steve Bruce seeming to blame defensive frailities for a record that has so far seen them fail to win a game at home.
Palace, on the other hand, could reach 4th place today if they win and other results go their way. The Eagles are unbeaten in 4 games and unbeaten in the last 8 against Hull. Coming off the back of impressive wins against Leicester and Everton, the momentum seems to be all with the away side.
Hull City have not handed starts to new signings Ben Afra and Ramirez, Steve Bruce sticking with the greater solidity of Livermore and Diame in midfield. Huddlestone will look to release Hernandez to set up poacher Jelavic.
Allan McGregor, the home team's normal keeper, is side-lined with a shoulder injury and is replaced between the sticks by veteran Steve Harper.
Palace have scored three goals in their both their last two away games and wingers Bolasie and Puncheon will as ever pose the threat. Jedinak and Ledley are solid and strong and will sit tight. Palace have four strikers on the bench, including the mercurial Wilfred Zaha.
The teams are out at the KC Stadium so join me shortly for Hull City vs Crystal Palace LIVE!
Hull City came into this game looking to improve their defence and they appear to have done just that, at the expense of their attack. The 3-5-2 formation has given them a lot of possession but, a few good crosses from wing-backs aside, the home side have created very little.
Palace's formation has been cleverly negated by the Tigers', and Bolasie and Puncheon have not been at their unpredictable, creative best. Jedinak and Ledley are dealing well with any central surges and Hull ahve had to resort to long balls to get through the middle of the park.
Neither goalkeeper has had to make a save of note. Diame and Hernandez have both drilled shots wide past Speroni's posts, and Harper has watched a Jedinak free-kick dip, but not enough, and made a few catches.
The Eagles have quality and goal-scoring power on the bench, but Neil Warnock will need to weigh up whether he can sacrifice central solidity to accomodate them.
Join me shortly for the second half of Hull City vs Crystal Palace LIVE from the KC Stadium. Fingers will be crossed for a goal or several!
Hull City have managed a valuable win and Crystal Palace lose their unbeaten run. In truth it was a fairly dull game, enlivened by moments of quality from Robertson and Diame, and then Livermore and Jelavic.
For long periods, Hull were content to keep the ball and launch it long or look to find a burst of pace out wide, and both wing-backs, El Mohamady and Robertson, looked good going forwards. The tactical match-up resulted in a bit of stalemate and it took a quick break and cross from the impressive young Scot to end the deadlock.
Livermore's ball to Jelavic was lovely and the striker dummied Kelly nicely before slotting it home to give Hull an insurmountable advantage.
Steve Bruce will be as pleased, if not more, with a clean sheet than two goals scored. Neil Warnock will be ruing an off day for both his wingers, but the result was a fair one.
Thank you very much all for joining me. I've been Alex Stewart and that was Hull City vs Crystal Palace LIVE. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
