M. Schneiderlin has scored a goal for Southampton! Assist by J. Ward-Prowse.
90' +2
Saints are still looking for another goal, with Pelle still after that hat-trick, but the chance just won't quite fall for him.
90'
Three minutes of injury time have been added on at St Mary's.
WHAT A GOAL! 4-0! Schneiderlin curls a fantastic right-footed effort from the edge of the 18-yard box out of Krul's reach and into the far top corner! What a way to wrap up a brilliant victory!
89'
S. Ameobi enters the game and replaces M. Sissoko.
F. Gardoș enters the game and replaces J. Cork.
Third Saints goalscorer Cork is also given a standing ovation as he comes off late on, the midfielder replaced by summer signing from Steaua Bucharest Florin Gardos.
87'
Saints continue to push on, with Wanyama looking to impress after missing out on a starting place today, however he runs straight into Coloccini and the move breaks down.
85'
Alderweireld has settled in really well at the heart of the Saints defence, here on his debut. Granted it's not been a huge test for the defender, but the loanee hasn't put a foot wrong as he once again is dominant in the air to beat Riviere to the high ball.
83'
Haidara again gets the chance to put a ball into the Saints box from the left but his delivery isn't really up to scratch - it's dangerous but not really aimed at anyone.
81'
Saints are 3-0 up but they're still playing a dangerous game at the back as Wanyama exchanges some loose passes with his keeper Forster - Riviere was lurking and nearly gets in.
79'
Here come Newcastle? Forster makes a good reaction save from Gouffran's header as the vistors make a late surge for a consolation goal.
78'
HOW has he missed?! Forster completely misses a cross from the Newcastle left, it falls for Sissoko who has a golden chance from six-yards out but miss-kicks the ball before Riviere also drags a simple chance horribly wide.

Description
76'
Bertrand gallops forward from left-back and puts a ball into the Newcastle box, but it's deflected behind for a corner from which nothing comes.
74'
It certainly looks as if Saints are going to look for more goals, here, which is nice to see.
72'
Cork lashes a ball into the box, where Pelle is once again lurking, but it's put behind for a corner. The big man causes problems again from James Ward-Prowse's delivery, but can't hit the target.
70'
There's now 20 minutes remaining in this game at St Mary's, and with the match surely won let's hope Saints pour forward in search of more goals to boost their goal difference.
69'
Ayoze Pérez enters the game and replaces R. Cabella.
68'
The once again impressive Tadic comes off to a standing ovation from the Saints fans - he really has been a great signing after the south coast side lost so many key names this summer.
67'
J. Ward-Prowse enters the game and replaces D. Tadić.
66'
I get the feeling this half may well now end as the first one did - with little action as both sides know the game is done.
64'
Maybe surprisingly, it's been Newcastle who are looking slightly better since the third Saints goal. Maybe the hosts are now too confident of getting the win.
62'
Haidara, who's been a bit of an outlet for Newcastle on the left, gets two chances to cross but wastes both of them.
60'
Down the other end Tadic crosses towards Pelle, who's on a hat-trick, but the forward shoots just wide.
59'
Saints defender Alderweireld steps in with another composed intervention to deny Cabella from setting up a chance.
57'
C. Tioté gets yellow.
It was another quickfire goal from pretty much nothing for Saints, who are surely taking all three points for the second time in a row now.
54'
J. Cork has scored a goal for Southampton!
GOAL! 3-0! And just as I say that, Saints get a third! It's another error from Williamson as the defender allows Cork in behind him, the midfielder sidestepping Krul and tapping home into an empty net.
53'
The next goal could really change this game, if Saints get it they are surely home and dry, if Newcastle do - game on.
51'
Victor Wanyama, on as a half-time substitute for Long who picked up a knock, has slotted in nicely in midfield as Saints continue to pass it around patiently.
49'
Haidara whips in a dangerous bouncing cross from the left but it bobbles off Riviere and rolls harmlessly behind.
47'
Saints start the half as they started the first, with some pressure on the Newcastle goal. Krul is equal to Tadic's effort, though.
46'
C. Tioté enters the game and replaces V. Anita.
V. Wanyama enters the game and replaces S. Long.
45'
J. Colback gets yellow.
Two minutes of injury time added on at St Mary's.
Newcastle get the game back underway.
44'
CLOSE! Yoan Gouffran's weak effort is deflected just wide of Forster's goal, with the Southampton keeper wrong-footed and beaten.
42'
Newcastle's own fans now start a chant at manager Pardew. "You don't know what you're doing," they sing.
40'
Five minutes until half-time and still no more chances to report.
38'
It's now Newcastle's turn to knock the ball about without any real intent - the Saints players are still happy to let them have it.
36'
Pelle is still causing a few problems for Newcastle's defence. He's not had any more chances but he's doing well to disrupt the visiting back four.
34'
After end to end action for a spell of five or ten minutes, this game's gone completely dead. I can't wait for half-time!
32'
Saints are now looking to close out the rest of this first half with their 2-0 lead in tact - but they need to be careful not to fall too deep and allow Newcastle space to attack.
30'
Colback and co in Newcastle's midfield are now doing much better to get a foothold in this game now, they just need to create a few more chances.
28'
ANOTHER SAVE! Forster then gets down low to keep out Jack Colback's drive! The visitors are coming back into this now.
26'
SAVE! Forster reacts brillaintly to pad away a close range Moussa Sissoko effort after good work from Massadio Haidara on the left!
24'
Newcastle come forward on the right with Daryl Janmaat but his cross sails straight into Fraser Forster's arms.
23'
"Sacked in the morning," sing the Saints fans to their former manager in the Newcastle dugout. The travelling Magpies join in too - it's not looking good for Pardew here.
21'
Koeman will be delighted with that goal; not only was it a flowing move that puts his side in a great position in this game, but it was two of his summer signings combining to brilliant effect.
19'
G. Pellè has scored a goal for Southampton! Assist by D. Tadić.
GOAL! 2-0 Southampton and it's Pelle again! The hosts hit Newcastle with a quickfire counterattack, the big forward playing a neat one-two with Tadic before tapping home into an empty net.
18'
Alderweireld makes a fine sliding challenge to halt Emmanuel Riviere on Newcastle's right flank, much to the appreciation of his new home fans.
16'
Newcastle have a chance to put some pressure on the Saints goal with a deep free-kick, but Mike Williamson's header is weak and off target.
15'
Tadic kicks off a move down the Southampton left but Cork can't quite get hold of the ball to cross, with Pelle lurking in the middle.
13'
Pelle tests Krul once more with a decent left-footed effort from outside the box, but the offside flag is raised anyway.
12'
Steven Davis, Jack Cork and Morgan Schneiderlin are getting plenty of touches in the middle of the park just now - Ronald Koeman will be very happy with how his team have started.
10'
The Saints players are now just getting their feet on the ball to calm things down after taking an early lead. Newcastle need to get themselves back in this game as soon as possible before the hosts become too comfortable.
8'
You'd have to say that was coming after some great initial pressure from the Saints. Pelle now tests Krul again with a longer range effort, but the keeper saves with ease.
6'
G. Pellè has scored a goal for Southampton! Assist by R. Bertrand.
GOAL! The pressure finally tells as Graziano Pelle puts Southampton 1-0 up! It was a nice ball in to the forward from the impressive Dusan Tadic, helped on by Ryan Bertrand before the new boy finished neatly with his head.
4'
Penalty shout for Saints! Long tumbles after colliding with Krul while chasing a through ball, but the referee says no. The striker seems to get to the ball first there - maybe a bit of a let off for the Magpies.
3'
Saints corner now as the hosts pile on the pressure early on, but it comes to nothing.
2'
CLOSE! Shane Long almost sneaks in on goal after a sloppy Fabricio Coloccini backpass but he can't control Tim Krul's kick that cannons back off the striker.

And Saints get us underway.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the Premier League clash between Southampton and Newcastle - two sides locked in their own mini-league in the middle of the table for much of last season.
Both teams have had pretty mixed starts to the new campaign - Saints picking up their first victory against West Ham last time out with Newcastle denied their first win by a last minute Crystal Palace equaliser - so they'll both be keen to push on today.
Before we get to the action let’s have a look at the starting line-ups …
So the home side hand a debut to deadline day signing Toby Alderweireld, the defender who joined on loan from Atletico Madrid, but fellow late arrival Sadio Mane fails to make the squad.
As for the visitors, they'll be hoping for a bit more cutting edge from their new attacking talent, with Remy Cabella and Emmanuel Riviere yet to show the Newcastle fans what they can really do.
A bit of extra spice for this game comes from the fact that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew also used to be in charge of the Saints - there isn’t a particularly bad feeling from either towards the other, but it'll still add something.
Five minutes until kick off down on the south coast - both teams scored three times in their last outings, so let's hope for another entertaining match today.
The half-time whistle goes with Southampton leading 2-0 thanks to a double from summer signing Pelle. After some intense early pressure from the hosts the forward headed his side in front after five minutes, before grabbing a second in a quickfire move 15 minutes later.
The visitors eventually woke up after conceding a second, with Sissoko and Colback both forcing top saves out of Forster. Despite picking up more possession as the half progressed Pardew's team have still lacked cutting edge in the final third, though.
All in all Koeman will be delighted with his side's performance, as well as the displays from his various new signings. Pelle's two goals have been supported by Tadic's creativity, with deadline day defender Alderweireld also putting in a solid shift.
As for Pardew, he'll be less than impressed with his team's defending for Pelle's second especially, while the Newcastle manager needs to say something during the break to inspire his attacking players.
And there goes the full-time whistle at St Mary's. Southampton make it two wins in a row, with Newcastle made to wait for their first victory of the new season.
Not only will Southampton manager Koeman be delighted with his side picking up three more points, after losing the likes of Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana it'll assure him - and maybe more importantly the fans - that the Saints have once again scored a bagful of goals. Tadic and Pelle in particular were very impressive. Their new signing at the back, Alderweireld, didn't look too shabby either.
Turning our attention to Pardew and Newcastle, the visiting fans' discontent was clear throughout today's match, with the Magpies not really at the races right from the off. Williamson made a few clumsy errors at the back, while it'll also be a worry that no-one ever looked like causing a newly put together Saints defence any problems at all.
And that's that, folks. Thanks very much for joining us.
