FT: Everton 2-1 Cardiff. There is barely enough time for Cardiff to respond as the referee blows the final whistle. The Cardiff players look absolutely distraught.
90' +3
S. Coleman has scored a goal for Everton! Assist by G. Barry.
GOOD SAVE FROM MARSHALL! The Cardiff goalkeeper may have earned his side a crucial point here as he produces a fine reflex save to deny Barkley's close-range header. Do Everton have time for one more attack?
COLEMAN HAS SURELY WON IT FOR EVERTON! There's jubilation in the Goodison Park stands but heartbreak for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Coleman snatches the three points at the death. McGeady is at the heart of it as he races down the left before standing a cross towards the back post where Barry heads the ball into Coleman's path and the Republic of Ireland wing-back slices his shot fortunately beyond Marshall. That is so cruel on Cardiff!
90' +1
Zaha has looked sharp since coming on but he shows signs of his inexperience here as he jinks past Coleman with a neat piece of skill before falling as he pulls his shot wide of the target.
90'
The fourth official raises his board to signal FOUR minutes of stoppage time.
89'
Everton are knocking on the door for a winner here but Cardiff continue to defend bravely. The Toffees have had 17 shots today, yet only five on target. Approaching stoppage time at Goodison Park, will we see a late winner?
87'
McGeady has been bright since coming on for Everton but he draws groans from the Goodison faithful as he bursts past John before sending his cross straight out of play. Everton's top-four hopes are fading by the minute.
85'
Cardiff are defending for their lives here and Theophile-Catherine produces a superb header to prevent Naismith nodding in Baines' cross. The travelling Cardiff supporters are clearly enjoying themselves and their team's performance this afternoon.
83'
Zaha is causing Everton problems with his pace and the Manchester United loanee is furious that he is not awarded a penalty after he goes down under a challenge from Distin. I think he could have stayed on his feet there, good decision from the referee.
82'
R. Barkley enters the game and replaces L. Osman.
Roberto Martinez makes his final change of the game as Ross Barkley comes on to replace Leon Osman. Can the World Cup hopeful make an impact in the closing stages?
81'
WHAT A CHANCE FOR ZAHA! Cardiff go close to taking the lead after Zaha capitalises upon an error by Stones. However, the tricky winger cannot get his shot away quickly enough and Stones recovers brilliantly to make a vital challenge.

Description
79'
WONDERFUL SAVE FROM MARSHALL! The Cardiff goalkeeper has made some brilliant stops today and he adds another one to the collection as he dives low to his right to tip Lukaku's deflected effort around the post. It's going to be a nervous last 10 minutes for Solskjaer and the travelling Cardiff supporters.
77'
W. Zaha enters the game and replaces Fábio.
Solskjaer appears to be going for the three points here as he introduces Zaha in place of Fabio. Can the Manchester United loanee make his mark?
76'
F. Campbell gets yellow.
Campbell picks up a booking for Cardiff after a late challenge on Stones, which leaves the Everton defender in a heap. Wilfried Zaha is being readied by the visitors.
74'
Caulker and Cala have merged a brilliant understanding in the Cardiff defence and they work in unison here to prevent Lukaku from getting his shot on target. Solskjaer's men have 16 minutes to hold on for a valuable point. Mind you, they could even find a winner.
72'
McGeady looks to make an impact as he cuts inside from the right before spotting the run of Lukaku. However, the former Spartak Moscow man cannot execute the pass to perfection and it runs just ahead of the Belgian striker and out of play. It's been a frustrating afternoon for Lukaku so far.
70'
OSMAN GOES CLOSE! It's nearly the perfect response from Everton as Coleman marauds down the right wing. The Republic of Ireland full-back picks out Osman on the edge of the box and his rasping volley goes inches wide of the post.
68'
Juan Cala has scored a goal for Cardiff City! Assist by P. Whittingham.
CARDIFF HAVE EQUALISED! Cala has enjoyed a terrific match in the heart of the Cardiff defence and he takes advantage of some slack Everton defending to nod Whittingham's teasing delivery past Howard and into the bottom corner. Game on!
66'
Cardiff enjoy a brilliant spell of possession, with Whittingham helping the Bluebirds to get the ball forward quickly. Can Solskjaer's side find an equaliser?
64'
That deflection was cruel to Cardiff but you feel that Marshall - who enjoyed a brilliant first half - could have done better there. It's not surprising to see Mirallas leave the field - the Belgian has all the attributes to be a world class player but is often the victim of his own ego and determination to be the game-changer.
62'
M. Møller Dæhli enters the game and replaces C. Noone.
A. McGeady enters the game and replaces Deulofeu.
A flurry of changes at Goodison Park. Gerard Deulofeu comes off to a standing ovation as he is replaced by January signing Aiden McGeady while Ross Barkley comes on for Kevin Mirallas. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also decides to make a switch as Steven Naismith replaces Craig Noone.
61'
S. Naismith enters the game and replaces Kevin Mirallas.
59'
Deulofeu has scored a goal for Everton!
DEULOFEU GIVES EVERTON THE LEAD! The Toffees have had to be patient but the goal finally arrives after a glimpse of magic from the Barcelona youngster. The Spaniard collects Osman's pass just inside the Cardiff half before driving towards goal and beating Marshall at his near post with the help of a slight deflection. The Cardiff resistance is finally broken!
58'
L. Osman gets yellow.
G. Medel gets yellow.
Leon Osman and Gary Medel both pick up yellow cards after an altercation near the centre circle. The referee is across quickly to break up the action.
57'
P. Whittingham enters the game and replaces J. Mutch.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opts to make the first substitution of the game as he introduces Peter Whittingham in place of Jordon Mutch. The left midfielder has missed Cardiff's last four matches.
55'
Cardiff are growing in confidence here and they go close to scoring the opener when Campbell's whipped cross just evades Fabio at the back post. The Everton fans are beginning to get restless here.
54'
Roberto Martinez is beginning to get a little animated on the touchline as his side struggle to penetrate this disciplined and well-organised Cardiff defence. There are several Everton substitutes warming up.
52'
Lukaku has ten league goals this season but the Belgian striker has gone off the boil in recent weeks and is struggling to make an impact here today. I wonder if we will see the introduction of Steven Naismith from the Everton bench.
50'
Cala continues to impress for Cardiff and he wins the ball off of Osman to spring a counter attack. However, Campbell cannot make the most of the opportunity as McCarthy shows great determination to track back and win possession.
49'
GOOD EFFORT FROM CAMPBELL! Fabio continues to burst upfield for Cardiff and he slips a neat pass into the right channel for Campbell to chase. The striker deceives Stones with a neat feint before his low drilled effort is turned behind by Howard at his near post.
47'
The last time Cardiff won back-to-back matches in the top flight was in April 1962. With the way other results are going in the Premier League for Cardiff so far, I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be delighted with just a point here.
Cala has been tremendous in the heart of the Cardiff defence today and he keeps the scoreline goalless when he gets ahead of Lukaku to prevent the Belgian from turning in Baines' low cross.
46'
The teams re-emerge from the tunnel for the second half and there have been no substitutions from either side at the break. Everton get the game back underway.
45' +2
Barry is finally back on his feet and he receives a good reception from the crowd as he gets his first touch of the ball. It looks like another goalless first half for Everton.
45'
K. Théophile-Catherine gets yellow.
Theophile-Catherine picks up the first booking of the game after a late challenge on Barry. However, the referee allows play to continue and Mirallas again causes frustration in the Everton ranks as he overcomplicates his dribbling and sees the ball taken off his toes by Fabio.
43'
Solskjaer will be delighted with his side's defensive resilience in this first half and Everton are once again denied as Medel rises highest to head clear Baines' teasing cross.
41'
With Baines storming forward from left-back, Everton are exposed to the counter-attack though they are fortunate on this occasion as Fabio fails to pick out Campbell in the middle, with Distin making the vital interception.
39'
Mirallas continues to be the main threat for Everton and he once again wriggles beyond several red shirts before his low finessed effort is well blocked by Caulker. There are six minutes remaining until half-time, will we see a goal?
37'
Everton need to be careful that they do not commit too many bodies forward because Cardiff have shown that they are dangerous on the break. Kim looks to spring a move for the visitors with a clever turn but Barry anticipates the play superbly to make a crucial challenge.
35'
It's end-to-end action here at Goodison Park! Caulker already has four league goals to his name this season and he latches onto Campbell's neat knockdown before his shot is blocked by Distin. Everton then attack down the other end and Lukaku cuts inside from the right before his curling effort is expertly tipped over the bar by Marshall. The Cardiff No.1 has enjoyed a superb first half so far.
32'
GOOD SAVE FROM MARSHALL! Everton immediately attack down the other end and the Cardiff defenders pat their goalkeeper on his back after he reacts superbly to turn Deulofeu's left-footed shot behind. There have been plenty of opportunities but who will break the deadlock?
30'
WHAT A CHANCE FOR CARDIFF! The Bluebirds have not scored too many goals away from home this season but they come within inches of breaking the deadlock here as Campbell springs onto Noone's deflected pass. However, the former England international lacks composure at the vital moment and fires straight at Howard's legs. Theophile-Catherine then picks up the rebound before dragging his shot wide of the target.
28'
Four of the last six league matches between these sides have ended level, including the goalless draw at the Cardiff City Stadium last August.
27'
CALA TO THE RESCUE! Coleman has been touted as the division's best right-back this season and he races to the byline before cutting the ball back for Mirallas. The Belgian looks to sweep his shot into the far corner but Cala produces a superb last-ditch block to deflect the ball behind.
25'
Cardiff have looked threatening from set-pieces however and Everton just manage to scramble a corner from the right to safety. Solskjaer's side are very much in this game.
24'
Mirallas is looking to come deep to collect the ball but he frustrates his teammates on this occasion as he drives towards goal before firing over. The Belgian had plenty of support in the box there.
22'
NO PENALTY! Everton are beginning to turn the screw here and they have a penalty appeal rejected after Deulofeu goes down in the box under a challenge from Cala. In truth, I think the Barcelona youngster could have stayed on his feet there.
21'
Deulofeu is starting to make an impact on this game now and the Barcelona youngster once again goes past John down the right. His deep cross manages to pick out Mirallas but the Belgian blazes wildly over the bar.
19'
Everton patiently probe around the Cardiff box and they go close to breaking the deadlock when Deulofeu bursts beyond John down the right. However, Caulker reads his intentions excellently to prevent Lukaku tapping in from close range.
17'
Baines has scored just three league goals this season and he chuckles with his England teammate Caulker after his ambitious left-footed shot slices high and wide of the target.
15'
Fabio - who is hoping to avoid back-to-back relegations from the Premier League - has made a decent start down the right, combining well with Noone. Cardiff threaten from a corner on the left but Lukaku gets ahead of Cala to head clear, before Medel fires over. It's been a very open 15 minutes at Goodison Park.
13'
Each of Everton's last three league games have been goalless at half-time. In fact, Roberto Martinez's side have failed to score in 17 of their 27 league games before the break.
11'
Mirallas has made a bright start to this match and he latches onto Baines' pass down the left before fizzing a teasing low ball across the Cardiff goalmouth. However, Lukaku cannot get ahead of Theophile-Catherine to meet it in the middle and Cardiff get the ball clear.
10'
Osman has retained the captain's armband on his return to the starting line-up and he drives forward from midfield before skewing a left-footed shot high over the bar.
8'
Cardiff have the worst first-half record in the Premier League. They have led only twice at half-time and scored just six goals before the interval.
7'
Cardiff are not prepared to just sit back however and Fabio's teasing cross into the box causes the Everton defence problems, though Coleman does well to turn the ball behind under pressure from Campbell.
6'
As you might expect, it has been a fast start by Everton and they threaten the Cardiff goal again with another corner from the left. However, Barry lacks conviction with his header and Cardiff survive.
4'
LUKAKU GOES CLOSE! It's a nervous start from Caulker and the Cardiff captain breathes a huge sigh of relief as his clearance ricochets off Lukaku before going inches over the crossbar.
3'
GREAT PLAY BY MIRALLAS! Everton almost take an early lead when Mirallas controls Lukaku's knockdown excellently before cutting inside and bending a shot towards the bottom corner. However, Marshall is alert to the danger and dives low to his left to expertly tip the ball around the post.
2'
Campbell will be hoping to cause the Everton defence problems with his pace and he darts ahead of Stones to win the ball down the left. However, the striker cannot pick out the bursting run of Mutch inside the box and Distin heads clear.
1'
Cardiff engage in a pre-match huddle while Solskjaer and Martinez enjoy a warm embrace. The referee blows his whistle and it is the visitors who get the game underway.
The last time Cardiff City beat Everton - a 1-0 home win back in December 1956 - Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan was just four years old. Mind you, you have to go even further back, until 1926, to find the last time that Cardiff won at Goodison Park. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side desperate for points to lift them out of the Premier League relegation zone, can they find a way to earn a famous victory at Goodison Park today?
Cardiff's crucial 3-1 win against fellow strugglers Fulham last weekend marked just the Bluebirds' second victory in nine league games and with only goal difference separating them from 17th-place West Brom, there is renewed hope in South Wales.
However, Solskjaer's side have a poor record on their Premier League travels, drawing two and losing nine of their previous 11 away matches. In fact, Cardiff have failed to score in eight of their last 10 league trips. Today, they face an Everton side who have won 16 and lost just one of their last 22 Barclays Premier League home games. It certainly is a tough task for the Bluebirds this afternoon.
EVERTON TEAM NEWS: Phil Jagielka misses his third match in a row with a hamstring injury, meaning that 19-year-old John Stones continues alongside Sylvain Distin in defence. Tim Howard returns in goal after being rested for the 4-1 FA Cup defeat to Arsenal, while Leon Osman and Gerard Deulofeu also come into the starting line-up.
CARDIFF TEAM NEWS: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes two changes to the side which defeated Fulham 3-1 last weekend. Kevin Theophile-Catherine replaces the injured Ben Turner in defence, while Juan Cala's recovery from a stomach bug means Kenwyne Jones to drop to the bench.
Roberto Martinez has done a wonderful job for Everton this season but the Spaniard has watched his side's top-four aspirations fizzle out in recent weeks. Everton have lost four of their last six matches in all competitions though their last match at Goodison Park was a 1-0 victory over West Ham.
As for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he relieved the pressure on his shoulders with a crucial three points against Fulham last weekend though a recent poll by Wales Online showed that 76% of respondents believed Cardiff would be higher in the table had Malky Mackay not been sacked.
STAT: The last time Cardiff City played Everton at Goodison Park in the league was back in April 1962 when the Toffees won 8-3.
The famous Everton tune rings around a sold-out Goodison Park as captains Leon Osman and Steven Caulker lead out the respective sides. Kick-off is just moments away.
HT: Everton 0-0 Cardiff City. The referee blows his whistle to signal the end of a thrilling first half. Everton have perhaps had the better chances though Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall has produced a number of fine saves to keep his clean sheet intact. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have looked a threat themselves however and Frazier Campbell will feel that he should have done better after spurning a glorious opportunity. It's all square at Goodison Park.
STAT: Everton have now failed to score before half-time in 18 of their 28 league games.
Here are the other Premier League scores: Fulham 0-0 Newcastle, Southampton 1-0 Norwich, Stoke 1-1 West Ham, Sunderland 0-0 Crystal Palace, Swansea 1-0 West Brom. The earlier kick-off finished Hull 0-2 Manchester City.
Football can be a cruel game sometimes and Solskjaer will be devastated to come away with nothing from that match after his Cardiff side produced a brave and resilient performance. You have to credit Everton for their never-say-die attitude however and the contrast in the two manager's emotions at the end of that game tells you all you need to know.
It gets worse for Cardiff fans as other results from the Premier League filter through. West Brom earned their first win under Pepe Mel to steer further clear of the drop zone while Felix Magath's Fulham snatched a valuable three points by defeating Newcastle.
That result lifts Everton above Manchester United into sixth place and eight points off fourth-place Arsenal. Cardiff drop a place to 19th and although they are just three points off safety, the teams around them do have games in hand.
The task does not get any easier for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he will need to pick his players up after that last-gasp defeat as they host high-flying Liverpool next Saturday. As for Everton, the hunt for European football continues when Swansea come to town. That's all from me, Max Bentley, on this live commentary. Until next time, goodbye!
