ABOUBAKAR! DIALLO! So close for Lorient, they almost had their consolation goal there! Aboubakar's stretching effort rolls agonisingly wide of Sirigu's back post!
90'
Two minutes of stoppage time have been awarded.
89'
Only a few minutes left, but PSG are keen to continue pressing and searching for that elusive fifth goal. Even without Ibrahimovic, Blanc's men are so very dangerous. Cavani continues his excellent Ligue 1 scoring record, and PSG's title aspirations look very realistic.
88'
DIGNE! SO NEARLY! The former Lille left-back managed to weave his way through the heart of the Lorient defence, before being thwarted by an excellent double save from the opposition goalkeeper!
87'
PENALTY! NO! The Argentine substitute is taken down by Reynet, but the linesman already had his flag raised for offside! It's a tight call, but it's the right one from the officials, excellent decision.
86'
RABIOT! The bruising midfielder sets his sights on goal, but sees an effort blocked from 30 yards. Lorient try to break, but Jallet is there yet again to stop the attack in its tracks. The former Lorient man isn't prepared to give his ex-side anything here tonight.
85'
Delicious piece of skill from Jouffre! The central midfield sidesteps Menez with consummate ease, dragging the ball away from the Frenchman before weaving his way around the goalscorer. It would have been worth buying a ticket for this game purely for that tasty morsel of technical ability.
84'
Less than ten minutes to play, and Lorient's players will surely be keen to hear the full time whistle now. With one more goal, the hosts can equal their highest ever victory over Lorient, and I'm sure that will be something that can only inspire more confidence.
82'
Well, that's the three points certainly wrapped up now, not as though the game was in doubt before the fourth. Cavani can now look for his hat-trick, with Lorient devoid of belief and creativity. I'm sure that the former Napoli man will still be asking questions of the referee with regard to the penalty decision.
81'
E. Cavani has scored a goal for PSG!
GOOOOAL! CAVANI! It's FOUR for PSG! Moments after that Uruguayan was asking for a penalty, he's converted from a corner to put himself in position as the leading goalscorer in Ligue 1! It's an instinctive poacher's finish, but they all count!
Minute
Description
80'
CAVANI! It's madness in the penalty area, as Menez fails with his attempt to lob the ball over Reynet, before the Uruguayan is surely shoved in the back as he looked to nod the rebound home!
79'
Good block from Marquinhos to deny Aboubakar, after a lovely turn and change of pace from the Lorient striker looked to leave the Brazilian for dead. The teenager recovered well, and has been solid minus a couple of loose passes.
77'
A few lazy passes creep into PSG's play, but the champions can afford to cruise and play indulgent football given their unassailable lead. Cavani has been brilliant as a lone striker, willing to drop deep, but also readily providing a number of neat flicks to initiate link-up play.
76'
E. Lavezzi enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
B. Pelé enters the game and replaces M. Barthelmé.
75'
LUCAS! Lorient are getting deeper and deeper, and the Brazilian goes close to grabbing his second of the night. He beats Guerreiro to a cross from Digne, nodding the ball narrowly wide of the woodwork with Reynet stood rooted to the spot.
74'
GREAT SAVE! Sirigu reacts brilliantly to get down quickly to his left, to beat away a firm effort on the turn from Aboubakar! The Italian is alert to the danger, leaping like a cat to his left hand side, palming the ball easily around the post. Top stuff.
73'
JALLET! The full-back unintentionally almost grabs another goal for PSG! His cross curves dramatically and cannons off the outside of the post! Unfortunate for Jallet!
72'
Around twenty minutes left to play, and this game continues to be firmly within PSG's grasp. The home crowd are enjoying this, it's been a showcase of what PSG can offer in the Champions League, and why they should be regarded as a force in Europe.
70'
A slight switch of formation for PSG, following the introduction of Pastore. It seems to now be a 4-2-3-1, with Matuidi slotting in as one of the defensive midfielders. These two substitutes certainly show the strength and depth at PSG's disposal.
69'
J. Pastore enters the game and replaces T. Motta.
B. Matuidi enters the game and replaces M. Verratti.
This all looks very relaxed from PSG, as Verratti and Thiago Motta share a few smiles with their replacements before leaving the field of play. Lorient have been pressing well in this second half, so PSG would be wrong to think that Lorient can't at least threaten their impressive scoreline a little.
67'
Some substitutes look to be getting warmed up and receiving instructions, as Blanc will presumably want to rest more important players and give players who are low on form or confidence a chance to prove their worth.
66'
Aboubaker is constantly on the last PSG man, preying on the possible mistakes of Marquinhos, as Lorient are increasingly looking to go long as soon as they win the ball. The lone striker hasn't had great service however, owing to why Lorient are so far behind tonight.
64'
Lucas stands strong to force Monnet-Paquet wide, before the Lorient forward manages to play the ball off the Brazilian for a set piece. The away side have had plenty of dead ball opportunities, but PSG have only been tested once from a header. The away side continue to look toothless.
62'
With around half an hour left on the clock, this could be the point of the game where Lorient's fatigue could come into play. With only one substitution at their disposal, and after chasing the game for so long, there must be some tired legs in white tonight.
60'
Good challenge from Ecuele Manga! The Lorient defender steps in well to steal the ball from Jallet's boot, as the PSG full-back looked to weave into the box following a strong run forward. He's been a bright spark in an otherwise poor performance from Lorient.
59'
CLOSE FOR LORIENT! Rabiot challenges with Kone as the free-kick is flighted in, and the ball bounces wide of the back post. Lorient win the corner kick, but nothing results from it. Another half chance goes begging.
58'
A few niggling fouls are creeping into the game, with Rabiot being penalised for a rash slide on Diallo. The visitors have a few physically imposing aerial figures, so conceding such things is rather risky for the hosts.
57'
The rain continuous to pour on Lorient both physically and metaphorically, and it looks as though the away side are heading towards yet another defeat. Gourcuff's men have only managed a single victory in their last eight matches, and need a kick-start from somewhere.
55'
Mistake from Marquinhos! The young Brazilian has given the ball away in a couple of poor errors, and but for a good recovering header from Jallet, Aboubakar could have been in on goal there. If Lorient can grab a goal, there's a slim chance that this game could open up slightly again.
54'
It's end to end stuff, as both sides look to break whenever possible. Diallo holds the ball up excellently, before Rabiot wins possession back from Baca. It's all a little bit scrappy at the moment, PSG need to find that composed rhythm again.
52'
Cavani has the ball in the back of the net again, but the referee had already pulled the play back for offside, as Verratti's stabbed pass found the former Napoli striker in a compromising position. Close again for the home side.
51'
Reynet punches clear! The ball is then cleared deep into the hosts' half, allowing for Sirigu to do the sweeping honours. The Italian launches the ball upfield, allowing for Menez to isolate Guerreiro, but the goalscorer brings down his marker accidentally after losing his footing.
50'
Terrible cross from Guerreiro! The Portuguese left-back really needed to do better in that scenario. He plays a ball way behind Aboubakar, who had peeled off into space at the back post. That was a reasonable opportunity, had the Portuguese found the right ball.
48'
Digne forces Baca into an awkward clearance, as the youngster manages to get in behind the Lorient right-back. It's still PSG who are creating the chances, with Sirigu still only having one major involvement in this match.
47'
Lucas flights a dangerously angled ball with the intention of it zipping along the corridor of uncertainty between defence and goalkeeper, but Reynet claims. PSG start the second half in the same vein as they finished the first.
46'
We are back underway for the second half, though the result might be a foregone conclusion and a bit of a formality at this point. PSG lead 3-0 with a slightly weakened side, and Lorient don't look too likely to get anything out of the match, unless they can make a miraculous second half push.
45'
Only the one minute of added time has been awarded, and I think that the Lorient players will want to get into the dressing room as soon as possible! Misery for the away side.
44'
PSG have been utterly merciless in the first half, and have seemingly already dispatched of their opposition this evening. A good save from Sirigu is all that Lorient have managed to provoke out of the hosts' goalkeeper, and this game looks to be as good as over.
43'
E. Cavani has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Lucas Moura.
GOOOOOAL! CAVANI AND LUCAS COMBINE! It's three before the break, and that was entirely down to the intelligent work of Lucas Moura! The Brazilian manages to draw Reynet out of his net, stand the ball up to the centre of the six yard box, and Cavani nods beyond the helpless Reynet!
42'
MONNET-PAQUET! The striker manages to get his head on a near post corner delivery, and Sirigu is forced to make an excellent save, beating the ball clear of the danger zone! So nearly a lifeline for the visitors!
41'
Two goals to the good, with their opposition having only a solitary chance left to make in this game. Gourcuff probably feels rather helpless, as Sirigu has remained untroubled throughout this first half. Lorient have managed to win a few corners, but are yet to threaten from them.
40'
Well, PSG certainly deserve the added security of that second goal! Menez saw an effort blocked heroically on the goal line from Ecuele Manga moments earlier, but the Gabonese defender couldn't do anything to stop Menez from tucking the ball home less than thirty seconds later.
39'
J. Ménez has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by M. Verratti.
GOOOOAL! PSG HAVE TWO! Verratti holds onto the ball excellently, before playing an incisive ball into the penalty area for Menez to run onto. The former Roma man makes no mistake slotting beyond substitute Reynet.
38'
For a PSG side missing two of their key players, Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic, this is a very encouraging performance from the current league leaders. If doubters thought that the wheels would fall off if Ibrahimovic wasn't in the side, they've probably changed their minds by now.
37'
Menez is brought down in the centre of the park, after a rather rash challenge from Kone! The Ivorian caught his opponent with a stray couple of studs, that could have been much worse!
35'
Well, I'm sure that Monaco fans and players alike won't be too happy to see PSG in such good form here tonight. Their ball retention is excellent, their attacking options look lively in the absence of Ibrahimovic, and the only pragmatic outcome at the moment is a home victory.
34'
JALLET! The long term PSG servant was unfortunate to see a bouncing volley turned around the post by a good block! Les Parisiens have a corner, it's half cleared, before Digne picks up the rebound and fails to find the target. Awful effort.
33'
Jouffre's dead ball chance goes to waste, as the Frenchman's effort clips off the wall and out for a corner. It's whipped in towards the front post, but Digne clears easily. Glimmers of offensive potency from the away side.
32'
It's looking unlikely that Lorient will get too many opportunities to test Sirigu, but the visitors now have a free-kick on the edge of the area, as Alex is penalised for a scrappy foul. The underdogs need to take these kinds of chances! Sirigu is organising his wall like a man possessed.
30'
CAVANI! CLOSE! A dipping half volley from the Uruguay, after a terrific first touch! The ball sat up kindly for him on the edge of the box, and Cavani sends a powerful drive zipping over Reynet's crossbar! Ecuele Manga couldn't quite get there to prevent the opportunity!
29'
A bit of a lull in play, from both the home support and the home side. PSG continue to hold onto the ball, but it almost looks like a training exercise, it's so easy for them. The French champions aren't seeing much of the ball in advanced areas, however, so I imagine Gourcuff won't be too disheartened.
28'
Good interception from Guerriero! The Portuguese full-back reads play well, before sliding in to deny Jallet's pass from reaching Lucas. That's the best idea for Lorient, cut off the supply to Lucas, as the visitors look rather incapable of dealing with him when he's in full flight.
27'
ABOUBAKAR! Marquinhos and Alex combine to make a very important block, as the Cameroonian looked to find a tiny bit of space to pull the trigger. Despite all of their good work, PSG looked rather frail there!
25'
B. Reynet enters the game and replaces F. Audard.
Another forced substitution for the away side, as Audard makes his way to the bench slowly, he'll be replacing by Reynet. Only the one change left for Gourcuff's side, who will be wondering what they've done to deserve this rotten luck.
24'
Yet more composed possession from PSG, the table-toppers are looking in fine shape. Blanc and their fans can sit back and enjoy this, Les Parisiens look extremely comfortable. Audard continues to limp around following his clash with Rabiot.
23'
S. Diallo enters the game and replaces J. Aliadière.
22'
A terrible start for the away side, they've conceded early on, creating almost zero chances and have now lost Aliadiere to injury, who's a useful offensive option. Lorient are readying a substitute, but they're currently playing with only ten men.
21'
Audard is still down injured, and it looks uncertain as to whether the veteran can continue. He looked to twist his knee, as his shin clashed with Rabiot's boot, but it looks as though he's going to make an attempt to play on. Aliadiere has also picked up an injury.
20'
ALEX! The Brazilian central defender sees a header cleared off the line, but the referee has blown up for a supposed foul on Audard! It seemed as though the goalkeeper tripped over the foot of Rabiot, it's rather unclear as to whether that was intentional from the PSG midfielder.
19'
Well, you can certainly see the divide between both sides, and the gulf in their resources too. Lorient look rather troubled, with the likes of Aliadiere and Aboubakar having absolutely no service.
18'
CAVANI! Sustained pressure from PSG carves open an opportunity, as intricate triangles around the penalty area are proving too much for Lorient to deal with. Their defenders are chasing shadows, with Cavani able to bring plenty of teammates into play.
17'
Blanc's men are maintaining a good tempo at the moment, holding onto possession excellently and really beginning to assert their dominance. This has been an imperious start from PSG, Lorient look powerless to resist at the moment.
16'
Ecuele Manga does well to get across to prevent yet another marauding run down the flank from Lucas. Whenever the young Brazilian has got on the ball this evening, he's looked likely to make something happen, he's been a real catalyst.
15'
Good ball from Motta! The Italy international slides a ball down the channel, looking for the run of Cavani, but Audard is alive to the threat and races out to smother the loose ball. Minus conceding, the Lorient goalkeeper has been useful so far.
14'
MENEZ! Excellent build up play from PSG, as Cavani controls a lofted ball with his heel expertly, before holding the ball up. He releases to Menez, who tries to bend a strike inside the top right corner, but the Frenchman doesn't quite get around it as he would have desired. Well wide!
12'
A good ball over the top in search of Lucas almost troubles Audard, as the Lorient goalkeeper is forced to race off his line to collect a bouncing ball on the edge of his penalty area. The Brazilian has been a real threat thus far, mainly down to his pace.
11'
Great interception from Ecuele Manga! The Gabonese central defender steps in ahead of Cavani to head a dangerous Digne delivery away from the edge of the six yard box. The linesman's flag was raised anyway, but good work nonetheless.
10'
A positive first ten minutes for the hosts, who have certainly started this game assertively, making Lorient press and chase in the midfield third. It seems that they'll have a lot of work to do this evening.
9'
LUCAS! The former Sao Paulo man appears to be full of ideas and confidence, driving excellently at Lorient's central defensive pairing. Lorient break up the other end, but Aboubakar heads way over the crossbar.
8'
Digne slides into the cameraman! The young full-back loses control of his body while stretching to keep a ball in play, and slides into an unsuspecting member of the press, who is left in a heap on the floor! It's rather slippy out there tonight.
7'
Aliadiere, the late inclusion in the Lorient starting line-up, manages to see a couple of touches of the ball, but the Frenchman fails to make a telling impact. It's a ridid 4-4-2 formation for the visitors tonight, as always.
6'
Cavani looks to link up with Lucas, with a cheeky flick around the corner, but Guerreiro is alive to the danger. The former Napoli man hasn't been involved much thus far, but he'll be central to all offensive efforts for PSG this evening.
5'
PSG have started this game excellently, the visitors have barely managed to find their way into the opposition half of the field. Lucas looks rather bright, and he should be full of confidence following that early goal.
4'
What a wonderful start for Blanc's side, that's a bit of a sucker punch for Lorient! An excellent finish from Moura, he had plenty of time to watch the ball onto his foot, before steering it past the helpless and wrong-footed Audard. Les Parisiens lead in the rain!
3'
Lucas Moura has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by L. Digne.
GOOOOOAL! LUCAS MOURA VOLLEYS THE HOSTS AHEAD! A lovely ball from the left hand side from Digne, and the Brazilian smashes the cross beyond Audard at the back post! 1-0 PSG!
2'
The atmosphere is rather good inside the stadium, though the weather doesn't quite match the upbeat mood. Rain pours down, and it's down to Lorient to try to weather the storm this evening. They need points to drag themselves towards safety.
1'
And we are underway in the first half at Parc des Princes! PSG are in their navy home strip, with Lorient not donning their rather striking orange kit, but instead a white one. Let's see if the visitors can cause a Ligue 1 upset this evening!
Hello and good evening, welcome to Ligue 1's sole spectacle of the day, as title favourites PSG face up against Lorient at Parc des Princes. With the hosts sitting top of the league, and the visitors hovering above the relegation mire, Les Parisiens are much fancied for the victory.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I will be leading you through all of tonight's action, as Laurent Blanc's side look to put pressure on Monaco with three points against the travelling side of Lorient. The away side have only recorded one win in their last five matches, conceding twice away to Nantes last time out without reply.
TEAM NEWS: The world-class duo of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva miss out through injury, leaving Lorient with a bit extra belief against a weakened PSG side. Edinson Cavani leads the line for the hosts, while Lorient have Coutadeur, Quercia, Reale and Doukoure sidelined.
As visible from the teamsheets, the depth of options that PSG can utilise is far superior to that of their adversaries. With the likes of Lavezzi, Pastore and Matuidi on the bench, there's no room for error for those deployed in midfield this evening. No Ibrahimovic, as aforementioned, but Cavani is a more than able deputy.
We are almost five minutes from kick-off, and the odds seem rather stacked against Lorient. They face a PSG side that are starting with Edinson Cavani as a lone striker for the first time this season, with the Uruguayan perhaps keen to show that he can more than compete with Ibrahimovic in terms of goals during the current campaign.
We've had a late change on the teamsheets, Alain Traore drops to the bench for Lorient, with Aliadiere stepping into the starting line-up. The former Arsenal man has an unenviable task of facing a rather solid PSG defence, but with Thiago Silva out of action, there's chance for mistakes to be made.
HALF TIME! Well, that couldn't have gone more according to plan if your allegiances lie with Les Parisiens. Goals from Lucas, Menez and Cavani give the hosts a commanding lead at the break, and it looks unlikely that Lorient will be able to get anything out of this game now. 3-0 to PSG.
Anybody who thought that PSG might miss Ibrahimovic have been proved rather wrong now. The hosts have dominated possession, created plenty of chances and look extremely comfortable. This isn't PSG's strongest side, making the scoreline all the more frightening.
FULL TIME! The hosts enjoy themselves in a comprehensive 4-0 victory, as PSG overcome Lorient with relative ease. Goals from Lucas, Menez and Cavani wrap up an important three points for the current league leaders.
Lorient only had two clear chances all game, with Sirigu denying Aboubakar and Monnet-Paquet to ensure that PSG maintained a clean sheet. Injuries hampered the visitors in the first half, and Gourcuff's men can have no complaints regarding the result.
With a rotated squad, and missing two key players such as Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, PSG are proving that they have a hardy squad that can compete in a long Ligue 1 season. Cavani strides into the top goalscorer spot in France, and appears to be making the transition to Parisian life rather easily.
That's all that we have time for tonight, we hope that you enjoyed our coverage of PSG's commanding and comprehensive 4-0 win over struggling Lorient. I've been Simon Harrison, and I hope to see you all again next time.
