Just 60 seconds left for PSV to endure. For over an hour they were still in this one. Willens picks up a booking just for good measure.
90'
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played.
88'
Milan now toying with their opponents as they keep the ball inside the visitors' half. Not had it all their own way, but in the end a routine win for the Italian giants.
86'
Robinho enters the game and replaces K. Boateng.
Here comes Robinho, and it is two-goal hero Boateng who receives a standing ovation as he is replaced.
84'
Robinho is also going to come on for Milan, though he has been left waiting on the sidelines. Balotelli, meanwhile, still looks hungry as he cuts inside before unleashing a low shot that is blocked before being collected by Zoet.
82'
A. Nocerino enters the game and replaces S. Muntari.
Double substitution for Milan as Allegri looks to give some of his players a rest ahead of Cagliari on Sunday. Nocerino is the first man on the hard-working Muntari.
80'
A. Poli gets yellow.
Poli has only been on the field a matter of moments, but as well as his assist he has conceded two free-kicks. His second foul leads to a booking from the referee.
77'
K. Boateng has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by A. Poli.
ALL OVER!!! Milan are, barring a miracle, in the group stages of the Champions League. PSV are all over the place at the back, as the ball falls for Boateng, and he takes on the tiring Brenet before sliding an effort past Zoet. 3-0 and over as a contest.
76'
Despite PSV having most of the ball, they aren't creating enough around the box. The chance missed by Wijnaldum looks like being the crucial moment in the match as time starts to run down.
74'
A. Poli enters the game and replaces S. El Shaarawy.
J. Locadia enters the game and replaces M. Depay.
Final change for PSV as Locadia replaces Depay.
And, slightly suprisingly, it is El Shaarawy who is withdrawn by Allegri. Poli on in his place.
Minute
Description
73'
Andrea Poli is being readied by Milan as they look to shore things up. Balotelli has just received treatment for a knee injury so it looks likely he will be replaced.
71'
PSV are patient in their build-up before Schaars gets a yard of space and tries his luck from distance. His low strike is always going wide though and Abbiati can watch it go past his left-hand post.
69'
O. Toivonen enters the game and replaces A. Maher.
The corner is well worked and Schaars curls an effort from a tight angle towards goal. Abbiati has to be watchful and tips the shot over the bar. Toivonen replaces Maher for the visitors.
68'
Josefzoon, who has certainly offered more than Park, whips in a cross which Maher gets to first. His effort is half-blocked and trickles out for a corner.
66'
Abate has certainly been quiet this evening, with much of his night being taken up by keeping Depay quiet. Thus far he has succeeded as he again wins a throw for his side.
64'
The visitors are not going to give this up, though time is running out for them. Milan holding firm for now with all eleven inside their own half.
62'
M. Balotelli gets yellow.
Jozefzoon shows his pace straight away down the right and draws a foul from Balotelli. The goalscorer is correctly booked by the referee.
61'
F. Jozefzoon enters the game and replaces Park Ji-sung.
First change for the visitors as Park is withdrawn and Jozefzoon replaces him.
59'
Cocu's side are certainly looking the more likely, though Milan are allowing them much of the ball. The Italian side will still fancy more goals on the counter should the opportunity arise.
57'
PSV aren't giving this up as Park chips one into the box from the right. Depay goes for the acrobatic, though a slight push from Boateng puts him off. Appeals for a penalty fall on deaf ears. Might have had a case there.
55'
M. Balotelli has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by P. Mexès.
GOAL!!! This may be it now as Balotelli marks his excellent display with a goal. A corner from the right is flicked on by Mexes and the striker reacts quickly to volley into the roof of the net from close range. Zoet had no chance and now PSV need three to go through.
53'
Another poor back pass from Brenet allows El Shaarawy in behind, and this time he beats Zoet to the ball. The goalkeeper's presence puts him off his stride enough, though, so that his poked effort dribbles narrowly wide.
52'
J. Bruma gets yellow.
Balotelli is caught with a high foot from Bruma, and the defender is booked for his trouble.
50'
Milan very slow in coming out of the blocks after the break. This tie is by no means won, and Allegri does not look happy on the sidelines as PSV continue to keep possession in the hosts' half of the field.
48'
Whatever Cocu said at half-time it has worked, with PSV winning three corners in quick succession. Nothing comes from the first two and a poor touch from Bruma allows Milan to finally clear.
46'
Mark Clattenburg gives a blast on his whistle and we are back underway.
SUPER SAVE! What a start to the second half that could have been for PSV. A cross from the left evades everyone and falls for Wijnaldum, but his effort is brilliantly parried round the post by Abbiati. Big chance for the visitors.
45'
Still time for PSV to have one final chance as Matavz toe pokes one towards the bottom corner from the edge of the area and Abbiati has to get down quickly to stop the shot.
Balotelli wins a free-kick 30 yards from the PSV goal and the former Manchester City man gets up to take it himself. His powerful low effort is on target but Zoet is equal to it.
Milan looking to run down the clock as half-time approaches. They've deserved their lead and now know they have one foot in the Champions League group stages.
43'
S. Schaars gets yellow.
R. Montolivo gets yellow.
Schaars trips Montolivo on the edge of the Milan box, and the two square up. More players get involved to break things up before Clattenburg does the right thing and books both men.
41'
SO CLOSE! Almost the slice of luck PSV needed as a Willens cross has too much on it and ends up bouncing off the top of the crossbar as Abbiati backtracked. That would have been very fortunate.
39'
Depay decides to have a shot from the dead ball, but Abbiati gets down easily to hold it. Shooting from 40 yards probably not the best idea.
38'
Willens wins a free-kick on the left midway inside the Milan half. Chance from a set-piece for the visitors.
36'
Depay has been one of PSV's brightest performers thus far, and he goes close with a low effort from 25 yards that skips just wide of Abbiati's right-hand post. The goalkeeper was scrambling but seemed to have it covered.
34'
Brenet looks much more comfortable coming forward, but his cross this time has too much on it and Abbiati can collect under no pressure. Further replays of that El Shaarawy effort, meanwhile, show the ball did not cross the line, so well done the officials.
32'
OFF THE BAR! How are Milan not two up? De Sciglio has acres down the left, and his pull back is perfect for El Shaarawy to hit one first time. The striker's effort cannons back off the underside of the bar and replays are inconclusive as to whether it crossed the line. Probably the right decision.
31'
More superb play from Balotelli frees Montolivo down the right, and the Italy international takes the bouncing ball first time but fires wide of Zoet's near post. Maybe should have gone across goal.
29'
PSV win a corner down the left but nothing comes from it. Hosts well in control with a third of the match gone.
27'
More great interplay from Balotelli and El Shaarawy almost gets the latter a sight of goal. Bruma is there, though, to make a strong challenge and clear for a throw.
25'
Brenet is having a torrid time. This time it's Balotelli who steals the ball from him before pulling the ball back where Boateng mis-controls and a half-chance goes begging. Milan have sensed a weakness and are attacking it at every opportunity.
23'
El Shaarawy is causing right-back Brenet all sorts of problems, and under pressure the defender almost sells Zoet short with a header back to the goalkeeper. El Shaarawy almost gets their first but the ball has just enough on it for the goalkeeper to collect.
21'
Abbiati is certainly being kept busy here. Milan half clear and the bouncing ball falls perfectly for Maher, who hits a swerving effort that the goalkeeper can only push over the bar. Superb effort, but the resulting corner is easily cleared and chance is gone.
20'
Good pace from El Shaarawy gets him in behind, but Zoet is quickly off his line to smother.
19'
Balotelli is making a habit of picking the ball up slightly deeper than a striker should, and he is really troubling the PSV defenders. This time he goes himself but his long range shot is well off target.
15'
Watching the replays of Boateng's goal, he was given way too much space by the PSV defence. The midfielder loves popping up between the midfield and the back four, and his positioning was key to the opening strike.
13'
Milan looking very dangerous when they get the ball. Balotelli again breaks from the middle of the field, and after he finds Di Sciglio, the left-back feeds El Shaarawy,. The striker cuts inside but his curling effort from 20 yards is just over the top.
11'
Remember PSV went behind early in the first leg and came back into the match, so not all hope is lost Phillip Cocu's men. That Matavz opportunity will also give them some confidence.
9'
K. Boateng has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by R. Montolivo.
GOAL!!! After that chance for PSV, Milan have reacted in the best way possible, and they have Kevin-Prince Boateng to thank. The playmaker picks the ball up 25 yards from goal and fires in a shot that goes through a defender's legs and right into the bottom corner. PSV now need two to qualify.
8'
GREAT SAVE! Almost a perfect start for PSV as first leg goalscorer Matavz is picked out from the right and his downward header is turned away by Abbiati. So close for the visitors.
6'
Balotelli breaks through the middle but when he looks to play in strike partner El Shaarawy the youngster is still retreating from an offside position and the attack comes to an end.
2'
Less than 90 seconds in and Balotelli is down clutching his leg in the centre of the field. He felt the full force of Rekik's studs and the defender is slightly fortunate to get away with nothing more than a ticking off. Balotelli back up and running now.
1'
PSV kick-off and we are up and running.
Hello and welcome to live commentary of AC Milan's Champions League qualifer against PSV Eindhoven at San Siro. The two sides are locked at one apiece after the first leg in the Netherlands, and both sides will still be confident of reaching the group stages. I'm Tom Maston and I'll be guiding you through all the action.
Milan: Abbiati, De Sciglio, Mexes, Zapata, Abate, Muntari, Boateng, Montolivo, De Jong, Balotelli, El Shaarawy
So the Italian side make one change from the first leg, with De Sciglio replacing Urby Emanuelson, who will start from the bench. PSV are unchanged from the draw in Eidenhoven.
Some of Europe's biggest names have secured their paths into Thursday's group draws, and as favourites for this one, Milan will be hoping to join them. After El Shaarawy's away goal last week, they are certainly on course for yet another Champions League run.
The players are in the tunnel as the supporters get ready for the first European action in Milan this season. With Inter missing out on qualification on the competition this season, all hopes for the city lay on their shoulders.
The Champions League anthem sounds out across the stadium and the players go through the mandatory pre-match handshakes. We are moments from getting underway here.
Englishman Mark Clattenburg is the referee this evening. The players are set, and we await his whistle...
Knowing that a draw will see them through, Milan are making sure they get plenty of men behind the ball. They look dangerous on the break, though, and a ball over the top almost finds El Shaarawy.
The teams are in ahead of this crunch clash...
PSV are still trying to play their passing game, and with more than three quarters of the game to go they don't quite have to chase it yet. They will have watched Milan lose to Hellas Verona on Saturday and know they can certainly be beaten.
And with that Clattenburg blows for half-time of another thoroughly entertaining half from these two sides. Boateng's excellent strike separates the sides while El Shaarawy and Balotelli have been constant threats. PSV have done enough to still have hope of at least taking this to extra-time, but as the game wears on they will have to push more men forward.
I'll be back for the second half in around ten minutes, as I, like the players, need a breather after that 45 minutes.
More quality football from Milan leads to a cross from the right that finds Balotelli unmarked. The striker, for once this evening, doesn't get it right though as he fails to make full contact and the ball drifts wide.
The players are back out on the San Siro pitch as we wait for the second half of this big enounter. Milan to kick-off...
Clattenburg blows the final whistle and Milan have qualified for the Champions League group stages. Two goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Mario Balotelli volley secured a 4-1 aggregate win for the San Siro outfit.
It could have been so much different but some great saves from Abbiati in both legs, but as it was PSV just couldn't find a crucial away goal. I've been Tom Maston, and thank you for joining me.
