Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by K. Benzema.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL TO REAL MADRID!!! RONALDO KILLS THE TIE OFF! Benzema cuts the ball to the former Manchester United man who clinically drives a right-footed strike into the bottom right corner! 3-2!
90' +1
Two goals looks highly unlikely now, but my, what an effort in this second half from Galatasaray. Their players, their manager, and their fans, should all be very proud tonight!
90'
Arbeloa gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
89'
Arbeloa gets yellow.
Arbeloa is sent off! The Spaniard has too much to say for himself and receives his booking in as many minutes! That's not what Mourinho wants to see at all! Madrid down to 10-men!
88'
Arbeloa receives his customary yellow card as he brings down Sneijder on the left-hand side. The Dutchman has dusted himself off and he'll take the set-piece.
86'
No nonsense from Varane. Drogba looks to latch on to a pass through the middle but the Frenchman keeps a cool held and shows a turn of pace to latch on the ball and put it out for a throw in.
84'
Time steadily running out for the Turkish champions. To be fair to Madrid, they have done a pretty decent job at keeping possession in the last five minutes or so. If Galatasaray get a a goal now, though, we are in for a sensational end to this match.
82'
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR GALATASARAY!!! WAIT! NO! OFFSIDE!! The home crowd explode with cheers as Drogba muscles Albiol off the ball before slotting into the bottom corner, but the linesman already had his flag up! Correct decision in the end but Madrid aren't making this easy for themselves!
81'
Raúl Albiol enters the game and replaces M. Özil.
A sign of Jose Mourinho's tactics now. Mesut Ozil has been replaced by Raul Albiol! Are Los Blancos looking to 'park the bus' for the last 10 minutes of play?
Minute
Description
80'
J. Elmander enters the game and replaces E. Eboué.
79'
Fatih Terim is going for it now! Right-back Emmanuel Eboue, is replaced by striker, Johan Elmander! We are in for a grandstand finish in the Turk Telecom Arena!
77'
Two goals in just over 10 minutes needed for Galatasaray. This would, simply put, be the greatest comeback in the history of the Champions League. Now we'll see what Real Madrid are made of!
75'
RONALDO!!! Inches of the bar! What a goal that would have been! The Portuguese gets beyond the Galatasaray defence down the inside-right and hits a terrific half-volley towards the top left corner that just goes the wrong side of the woodwork!
74'
Jose Mourinho makes his first change of the match as Gonzalo Higuain is replaced by Karim Benzema. The Argentine just hasn't got into this game at all.
73'
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces G. Higuaín.
There's no way they could do it, could they?!
72'
D. Drogba has scored a goal for Galatasaray! Assist by N. Amrabat.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL FOR GALATASARAY! THIS.IS.UNBELIEVABLE!! Amrabat flashes a cross into the area from the right and Drogba is on hand to flick the ball into the bottom corner with his back to goal!! 3-1!
70'
W. Sneijder has scored a goal for Galatasaray! Assist by S. Sarıoğlu.
Real Madrid really look susceptible here! They are looking extremely disjointed at the back! They need to show some metal and reclaim possession.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR GALATASARAY!!! Sneijder wonderfully dinks the ball between the legs of Raphael Varane before running forward and coolly slotting into the bottom left corner! The hosts lead 2-1!
68'
There's only one team who look like scoring at the moment. The home crowd have propelled Galatasaray up the park and there is a massive confidence about them now!
66'
Penalty shout for Galatasaray!!! The ball breaks do Drogba at the back post who bounces a right-footed volley at goal that is well-saved by Diego Lopez, but Pepe comes in on the follow through with a very late tackle to take out the Ivorian! That looked like a spotkick!
64'
Second change of the match from Fatih Terim. Umut Bulut is withdrawn for Sabri Sarioglu.
63'
S. Sarıoğlu enters the game and replaces U. Bulut.
62'
SNEIJDER! Ohhh what a horrible miss!!! Coentrao dangerously passes the ball along his own box and the ball reaches the former Inter man at the back post who, with the goal at his mercy, weakly scrapes his strike wide!!
60'
On the basis of the first three quarters of this tie, Eboue is probably the last outfield player you'd expect to come out with something like that. Fantastic strike.
59'
Only four to go for Galatasaray...
58'
E. Eboué has scored a goal for Galatasaray! Assist by W. Sneijder.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAL FOR GALATASARAY!!! EBOUE SCORES AN ABSOLUTE SCREAMER!!! The ball breaks to the former Arsenal man right on the edge of the box and he rifles it into the top left corner with the outside of his foot! 1-1! The Turk Telecom Arena erupts!
56'
RONALDO!!! You'd have put your house on him scoring that!! Higuain curls the ball into the area and the Portuguese struggles to get the ball out of his feet before stabbing wide from six yards! What a miss that was!
54'
Madrid are professionally playing out this game here. There's no reason to rush for them as they have already booked their place in the semi-final. The home crowd are getting pretty restless, though!
52'
Sami Khedira is down for Madrid. The German was bundled over by Gokhan Zan and may have just been accidentally studded on the back by the central defender. It looks like he'll be okay but Madrid are temporarily down to 10-men.
50'
Amrabat has looked bright since his introduction. This time he receives the ball through the middle from Melo and drives at pace towards the Madrid defence, but a slightly overhit touch allows Arbeloa to make the tackle and reclaim possession.
48'
Speculative effort from Inan. Drogba shows strength to shake off the challenge of Varane and chest the ball down to Amrabat. The substitute slides the ball inside to his captain who smashes the ball over from 25 yards. Not the worst effort but he had Melo in a better position inside.
47'
Diego Lopez gets let off the hook a little! Arbeloa slices the ball up into the air and the Madrid 'keeper fumbles his catch under pressure from Drogba. The referee protects the Spaniard and the visitors get the free kick.
46'
N. Amrabat enters the game and replaces Hamit Altıntop.
We are back under way in Istanbul!
A change to report at half time. Nordin Amrabat has been introduced in place of Hamit Altintop for Galatasaray.
45'
E. Eboué gets yellow.
43'
The latest player to go into the book is Eboue. The former Arsenal man went shoulder to shoulder with Ronaldo as the Portuguese was coming inside but earns himself a yellow card. Pretty harsh getting booked for that.
41'
The Turks are just on the ascendancy slightly here. Madrid have sat back a little and Melo, İnan, and Altintop are beginning to see a lot more of the ball to affect the game. No real danger to the Madrid goal as of yet, though.
39'
Ohhhh so close for Drogba!! Eboue collects possession at right-back and fizzes a pass through the middle for the Ivorian, who just can't sort his feet in time to get a touch. Much better from Galatasaray! Unlucky!
37'
The hosts take it quick! It comes short to Selçuk İnan who picks out Sneijder on the edge of the box, and the Dutchman takes a touch before flashing a shot towards the bottom corner, but Diego Lopez keeps his concentration to get down and get his body behind the ball.
36'
Drogba uses his physical prowess to bully Coentrao off the ball near the corner flag and earn the hosts a corner. A good ball into the box needed here!
34'
Great goalkeeping by Muslera! Khedira breaks out of midfield and threads a pass through the middle of the Galatasaray central defenders for Di Maria, who looks to latch on to the ball, but the Uruguayan was quick off his line to clear up the park away from danger.
32'
Sneijder steps over the ball and Selçuk İnan whips the set-piece powerfully at goal, but it just clips off the top of the Real Madrid wall. The Spanish champions eventually manage to clear and get the free kick for another offside.
31'
Arbeloa enters the game and replaces M. Essien.
Arbeloa's first contribution to the evening is to give away a petty foul on the edge of the box on Sneijder. Now, this is definitely in the territory for a shot at goal. They just need to test Diego Lopez!
30'
Essien won't make the rest of the game. He's replaced by Alvaro Arbeloa, who'll comfortably slot in at right-back.
29'
A break in play at the moment as Michael Essien is currently down. The Ghanian just went down under the challenge of Sneijder but it looks like something else may be wrong as he clutches his thigh. It doesn't look like he'll be able to continue.
27'
The home side have actually managed to get into decent positions in the Madrid half, but each and every time their final ball has left a lot to be desired. With a guy like Drogba inside the box, the delivery simply has to be better.
25'
Jose Mourinho looks absolutely bemused as to how that didn't go in!
24'
DI MARIA!! What a fantastic save from Muslera!!! Ronaldo wonderfully flicks the ball round the corner for the Argentine who gallops forward before slicing a shot towards the top bag, but the former Lazio 'keeper stretches out a fingertip to somehow turn it over the bar!
22'
Chance of Galatasaray to get a decent ball into the box here. Sneijder steps up and curls the ball into the penalty area but Raphael Varane rises high to head the ball away. Madrid get a free kick for an offside.
20'
W. Sneijder gets yellow.
The official is involved in the action once again. The Frenchman once again whistles for a foul for a soft challenge on a Madrid player. This time it was Melo on Ozil. Come on ref let the game flow!
19'
First booking of the match goes to Wesley Sneijder. The former Real Madrid man had too much to say for himself after the ref failed to give a penalty to the home side after Coentrao collided with Eboue. Never a spotkick and a silly yellow card.
18'
The referee is risking the wrath of the home crowd here! Gokhan Zan sweeps the ball away from the feet of Ronaldo with a superb sliding challenge, but is penalised by the official. That was a good tackle, that.
17'
It's not happened for Didier Drogba so far. He's received the ball a few times in the final third but it looks like he is trying too hard in an attempt to make an impact. Still plenty of time for him, though.
15'
Almost an absolutely sensational pass from Felipe Melo. The Brazilian picks up the ball near the halfway line and fizzes the ball round the back of Coentrao for Sneijder, but it just had a little too much on it and the Dutchman couldn't manage to make contact.
13'
Drogba receives a bit of stick from the crowd as he loses the ball in a decent position. Altintop slides the ball out to the former Chelsea man on the right-hand side, but his return pass into the box was poor and Essien manages to clear.
12'
After a vibrant opening 10 minutes, the Turks have began to establish themselves with a small period of possession. Their aim now should be to get at least a draw out of the match tonight. The tie is over but they can at least give their fans something to cheer about.
11'
Fair play to the home fans, though, I don't think they'll ever stop making noise!
10'
I doubt Jose Mourinho would have been particularly anxious before the match what with the three goal lead, but that strike from Ronaldo looks to have calmed any nerves that existed in the players.
9'
Galatasaray now need to score five goals in order to progress. Never say never but, well, they'll never do it.
7'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by S. Khedira.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! A sucker punch to the Turks! Sami Khedira breaks into the box down the inside right and lashes a cross into the box, which Ronaldo stabs home from six yards! Is this tie over already?!
6'
First corner kick of the match goes to Madrid. Mesut Ozil whips the set-piece in from the left-hand side but Muslera does well to get off his line and punch the ball to safety.
5'
Frantic start to the match here! Madrid are doing their best to keep the ball and silence the crowd with patient build-up play, but the hosts, and the home fans, look desperate to get that early goal!
4'
DI MARIA!! Galatasaray almost shoot themselves in the foot! Madrid counterattack at pace and Muslera races from goal to slide the ball clear. However, he sends the ball straight to the feet of the Argentine, who scuffs a shot wide from 25 yards with nobody in goal!
3'
Sneijder gets his first touch of the ball as he breaks away down the left-hand side. He eventually cuts inside and whips a disappointing cross to the back post, which Diego Lopez sees out of of play.
2'
Madrid have held possession for a few moments now and the boos from the home crowd are absolutely deafening!
1'
We are under way in Istanbul!
Good evening folks! Welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of the Champions League quarter-final second leg clash between Galatasaray and Real Madrid at the Turk Telekom Arena!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action this evening!
Real Madrid hold a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the match after goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gonzalo Higuain gave Jose Mourinho's men a comfortable victory in Santiago Bernabeu last week.
Of course, this is the Champions League, and anything can happen...
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Diego Lopez; Essien, Varane, Pepe, Coentrao; Khedira, Modric; Ozil, Di Maria, Ronaldo; Higuain.
Make no mistake about it, Galatasaray may be three goals down, but it won't stop the home fans from creating a sensational atmosphere.
Some very interesting pre-match stats for you now.
Galatasaray have won just once at the Turk Telekom Arena in the Champions League this season but have suffered only two defeats in their last 13 European home outings.
The Turkish outfit's home record against Spanish opposition is W5, D2, L5, with the most recent victory being a 3-2 success against Real Madrid in the 2000-01 Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Los Blancos have progressed in 41 of 54 European ties in which they have won the first leg at home, including all seven when they initially triumphed 3-0.
A boost for Real Madrid tonight is the return to the Champions League of Iker Casillas. The club captain had been out with a hand injury since January but makes the bench tonight. Would Mourinho have played him if he was fully fit? A question for another time perhaps!
Galatasaray, on the other hand, are missing their Champions League talisman. Burak Yilmaz is out of the second leg tonight due to suspension. Umut Bulut is his replacement up top, as there is still some concerns over the fitness of Johan Elmander.
Under Jose Mourinho, Madrid have scored in every Champions League away tie in which they've played. If they continue the run tonight it may be game, set, and match early doors.

This is what the Champions League is all about! Sold-out crowds and a glorious big-match atmosphere! If Galatasaray can get an early goal the stadium will explode!
The Champions League themes sounds out and we are almost ready to go!
Half time in Istanbul. An early strike from Cristiano Ronaldo is the difference at the break as Real Madrid look poised to head to the semi-finals. Galatasaray need five goals in the second half to progress and face a pretty much impossible task keep their European hopes alive. The home crowd still creating a superb atmosphere, though!
What do we make of the first half? Get your comments on to Twitter at @MartinMac1 and on to the chat section of our Live Match Centre!
Interestingly, Galatasary had 53% of possession compared to Madrid's 47%. Vitally, though, they only have three attempts on goal to Los Blancos' four.
@ideblaskar writes on Twitter: "Galatasaray have a chance of salvaging some pride by scoring 1 or 2 goals, the match is already lost to them"- I'd say the tie overall is lost, but there is certainly some pride to play for in front of their home fans.
@iYungPsalmwell writes: "At halftime at the Turk Telekom arena, I'm just glad my team Real Madrid hasn't conceded & we're still keeping a cleansheet, but I expect more."- Madrid are looking comfortably, there's no real need for them to go gung-ho for goals, but Ronaldo will always be hungry to add to his tally.
FULL TIME IN ISTANBUL. Real Madrid progress to the semi-final of the Champions League but were defeated on the night by a plucky Galatasaray side. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes but a quickfire double from Wesley Sneijder and a strike from Didier Drogba got the hosts back into the match to set up a grandstand finish. Los Blancos eventually held on and the Portuguese netted again in the closing stages to kill off the tie. I'm Martin Macdonald, and it's been a real pleasure to report on the match for you tonight! Thank you for joining us on Goal.com! See you next time!
