Last change of the match. Mario Gotze comes off for Oliver Kirch.
89'
ANTUNES!!! UNLUCKY! Duda disguises a free kick and lays the ball out to the left-hand side for the full back, who has a crack from 25 yards. It was well struck, but was always rising and just cleared the top of the crossbar. Terrific attempt, though.
87'
Duda enters the game and replaces Isco.
Manuel Pellegrini does indeed make a slightly defensive change. The attacking minded Isco is replaced by Duda, who can be utilised as a defender or a wide midfielder.
85'
It looks like both Malaga and Dortmund may be settling for a 0-0. It's not a bad result for either side really. Malaga will look to grab an away goal next week and Dortmund will have the cauldron of the Westfalenstadion in their favour.
83'
Julian Schieber gets his first sight of goal. The substitute just found a small amount of space inside the box to the right-hand side and rifled a strike towards the far corner, but it was never really bothering Caballero in the Malaga goal.
81'
No real sign of a goal in the past 10 minutes or so. The Malaga fans have been in full voice as they attempt to ignite their side into finding the net, but both sides are looking relatively comfortable. Just under 10 minutes to go now.
80'
S. Bender enters the game and replaces S. Kehl.
79'
Jurgen Klopp just adds some fresh legs in midfield with another change. Sven Bender comes on for Sebastian Kehl. That'll be like-for-like next to Ilkay Gundogan.
78'
Bad news for Malaga again. Iturra receives a yellow card for a cynical foul on Lewandowsk. Like Weligton, the Malaga midfielder is now OUT of the return leg in Germany next Tuesday.
Minute
Description
77'
M. Iturra gets yellow.
76'
R. Santa Cruz enters the game and replaces Júlio Baptista.
Another old foe of Borussia Dortmund enters the fray. Julio Baptista heads to the bench with Roque Santa Cruz coming on in attack, who also used to feature for Bayern Munich.
75'
There's definitely still time for the Jurgen Klopp's men to nab a couple of goals. They better get themselves in gear pretty quickly if they are desperate for an away goal. They might not be though, 0-0 is a very good result.
74'
@teehizik writes on Twitter: I believe BVB will triumph over their Spanish hosts, 2 - 0.
73'
A goal now has the potential to change the whole landscape of the tie. If Malaga strike, they may gain the confidence to get another and take a good lead back to Germany. If Dortmund score, they take an away goal into the second leg and have to be considered favourites.
71'
Apologies if you think I jinxed the game before the match folks. It promised goals! To be fair, for a game where nobody has found the net it has been a cracking clash of two superb European sides.
69'
J. Schieber enters the game and replaces M. Reus.
Dortmund follow suit and make a swap of their own. Julian Schieber is introduced at the expense of Marco Reus, who has not had his most impressive match in the yellow and back of the German champions tonight.
68'
Portillo enters the game and replaces J. Saviola.
First change of the match comes from Manuel Pellegrini. Javier Saviola is replaced by Javier Portillo. The substitute is usually an attacker, but he has been utilised as a midfielder on a few occasions this season. It'll be interesting to see where he fits in.
66'
Superb double save from Weidenfeller!! Isco latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the box and rifles a strike towards the top corner, but the Dortmund 'keeper stretches out a hand to palm it away. The ball bounces back out to Toulalan, who drives a controlled volley at goal, but once again the 32-year-old is on hand to make the stop.
64'
Well, the real Messi scored from a very similar position last night on the opposite side of the box. Gotze should have netted also! That's his third chance tonight where you would have put money on a goal.
63'
GOTZE!! HE PASSES UP YET ANOTHER CHANCE! Gundogan wins possession inside his own half and drives forward before curling a fantastic pass through the middle for 'The German Messi', who bares down on goal, only to flash his shot inches wide of the post!!
62'
That's a penalty shout you know!! Gotze displays his lightning quick feet inside the box and stabs the ball beyond Weligton to the edge of the penalty are, but the Malaga man comes with a slightly late challenge that sees the German tumble to the floor! Seen them given!
61'
Normality is restored as the ball comes out wide no Mario Gotze, who looks to drive inside and get a shot away inside the box.
60'
It's all getting a bit scrappy at the moment. Subotic attempts an impossible half-volley from 35 yards that bounces and deflects about before both sides undertake a game of head tennis. Someone needs to get the ball on the floor.
58'
The second half has not been played at the same electric pace as the first period. Both sides have just toned down the tempo of their play a little.
56'
Ruud van Nistelrooy is spotted in the stands supporting the team he played for last season, Malaga. They could probably have done with him sniffing out a chance tonight!
55'
Good hold up play from Lewandowski. He comes short to receive possession and outmuscles Demichelis before sliding a ball to the right-hand side for Gotze, who looks to take on Antunes.
53'
Half-hearted penalty appeal from Lewandowski. The Pole backs into Willy Caballero and goes down softly in the six yard box. He's never going to get a spotkick for that.
51'
The Malaga fans rise out of their seats as Iturra is caught late by Reus inside the centre circle. No booking has been given to the Dortmund man, and no worries about Iturra, he's a tough cookie!
50'
In contrast, Mayank Sharma believes it will be 2-1 Malaga. Probably a more likely scoreline but both sides are capable of leaving with a good result here. Let's see how the second half pans out.
49'
Craig Hamilton has posted in our Live Match Centre that he believed it would be 3-0 before the match. With the attacking talent on show you never know what could happen! Don't count Malaga out, though!
48'
LEWANDOWSKI!! SHOCKING MISS!! Gotze does brilliantly to get beyond Gamez with a turn of pace inside the box and reverse the ball inside. The ball deflects into the path of the Pole who has all the time in the world to pick his spot, yet horribly slices wide of the right-hand post! That's usually bread and butter to him!
47'
Penalty shout for Dortmund!! The visitors quickly get into the final third after the kick off and Reus has a crack from the edge of the box. The ball appears to deflect off the hand of Toulalan but the referee waves play on! It probably would have been harsh!
46'
We are back under way at La Rosaleda!
43'
Gotze clears off the line! Dortmund don't clear from the next corner kick and a the ball is headed towards the top corner! It looks destined to nestle just inside the post but the German was in the right place at the right time to nod away!
42'
Weidenfeller redeems himself! Cracking save! Weligton rises high from a corner kick and bullets a header downwards at goal, but the Dortmund 'keeper atones for his earlier mistake by getting down to scoop the ball away off the line!
40'
Dodgy goalkeeping from Weidenfeller! He comes out and looks to collect a cross but calamitously drops the ball in his six yard box! Lucky for him that Felipe Santana was on hand to smash the ball away from danger.
38'
What is Weligton doing there! Isco floats the free kick to the back post and the Malaga captain somehow gets himself in front of the ball to head OUT of the Dortmund box. I'm sure that wasn't his plan but it was a good defensive header!
37'
Malaga now with the chance to get a decent delivery into the box. Isco's feet prove to be too quick for Felipe Santana and the Brazilian clips the foot of the tricky 20-year-old.
35'
Another solid save from Willy Caballero. Lewandowski takes on Jesus Gamez before quickly shifting the ball on to his right-foot and screwing a shot at goal, but once again the Malaga goalkeeper's positioning is spot on to make the save.
33'
Much, much better from Malaga now. That booking to Weligton seems to have ignited the home players and the home crowd. Joaquin gets to the byline and stands a cross to the back post, and Piszczek nervously heads behind for a corner.
31'
Weligton gets yellow.
REUS!!! That couldn't have been far away!! The Dortmund man whips the free kick towards the far corner but just finds the wrong side of the post by a foot or two. Unlucky.
30'
Second Malaga booking of the match, and it's a costly one! Weligton hauls Reus to the floor just on the edge of the penalty area and the referee brandishes a yellow card to the captain of the home side. He is now OUT of the return leg next week. Free kick to Dortmund in a good position.
29'
GROSSKREUTZ!!! Malaga living dangerously once again! Lewandowski sweeps the ball out to the right wing and the oncoming Piszczek fires a cross to the front post for the German, who turns his shot wide by barely a yard! Caballero was certainly scrambling to get across!
27'
Almost an absolutely sensational pass from Isco! Reus inadvertently lays the ball of the for the 20-year-old, who stabs the most acute pass you'll see round the corner for Saviola, but Weidenfeller was alert to the danger and came out to clear out of the box. That's what Isco can do!
25'
Caballero called into action once again. Reus picks up the ball on the right-hand side and shows a lightning turn of pace to drive into the middle and lash a daisy-cutter towards goal, but the Malaga 'keeper got his body behind the ball to make the stop.
24'
The Germans eventually get the ball in the Malaga net but the play is brought back for offside. It was a terrific volleyed finish from Lewandowski that rounded off the now but, unluckily for the Pole, the flag was up.
22'
Malaga have actually defended okay so far. Some of the movement in the final third from Dortmund has been mesmerising at times but the hosts are remaining solid, for now.
20'
The home crowd are just getting a little fidgety as Dortmund begin to assert their authority on the ball. Gundogan and Kehl are showing their dominance in the middle of the park.
19'
Antunes gets yellow.
Caballero once again shows that he is one of the form goalkeepers in Europe at the moment. He's keeping Malaga in it.
18'
GOTZE AGAIN MISSES! He should have scored two in the past five minutes! Gundogan shows terrific strength and power to drive forward and slide a ball to the right-hand side to his compatriot, who had all the time in the world, but again saw his strike saved by Caballero!
17'
K. Großkreutz gets yellow.
Excellent from Saviola!! The former Barcelona man picks up the ball on the byline and flicks the ball round Piszczek before bursting into the penalty area. However, the Argentine is eventually outnumbered and Dortmund clear.
15'
An aspect of Dortmund's play so far has been their relentless pressing of the ball high up the park. Gotze, Lewandowski, Reus, and Grosskreutz are all working extremely hard to win the ball back up there.
13'
CABALLERO DENIES GOTZE!! That was a glorious chance! Malaga play a suicidal high line and Lewandowski glances the ball on to his team-mate who dashes forward before tamely striking towards the bottom left corner. The Malaga 'keeper was alert and managed to save with a sturdy right hand.
12'
Good play again from Baptista. He comes deep and receives the ball inside the centre circle and uses some trickery to evade a couple of challenges before spraying a lovely pass out to Joaquin. Good to see 'The Beast' getting back to his best.
11'
As we suspected it has been a lively start in La Rosaleda. Both sides looking comfortable and sharp on the ball but Dortmund probably just shading it as they've saw more possession up top.
10'
It looks like Gundogan is fine. He re-enters the play.
9'
Ohhh sore one for Gundogan! The Dortmund man takes a knock to the leg just a few yards outside the Malaga box. He's been down for a few minutes and he'll need treatment at the side.
8'
Malaga nearly let Gotze in behind! The German picks up possession just on the edge of the area and, instead of shooting, looks to cut the ball inside on to his right foot. Subotic reads it, and steals the ball.
7'
Good defending from Demichelis. Gotze threads a pass through the midfield and Lewandowsi looks to gain a yard on the Malaga defender, who remains solid to ease the Pole off the ball and retain possession at the back.
6'
SAVIOLA!! He should have done better with that! Joaquin dinks a superb little pass down the right-hand side and the Argentine cuts inside, shifts the ball on to his weaker foot, and lashes a strike into the side-netting. He had team-mates in much better positions there!
5'
First glimpse of Julio Baptisa as the Brazilian turns sharply on the middle of the park and slides a pass out wide to Isco. The former Real Madrid man scored his first goal in one-and-a-half years at the weekend against Rayo.
4'
Robert Lewandowski has already managed to win a couple of headers up top for Dortmund. The visitors are known for their slick passing and movement but it must be good knowing they can toss a ball into the box every so often.
3'
Demichelis is forced back towards the corner and has to put the ball into the stand for a throw-in. The Argentine, ofcourse, is an old foe of Dortmund having played in the Bundesliga for many years with Bayern Munich.
2'
It's pretty tough to tell just who will be in charge of the possession tonight. Both sides are relatively swashbuckling when going forward so the ball may be exchanged frequently.

We are underway in La Rosaleda!
Good evening folks! Welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of the Champions League quarter-final clash between Malaga and Borussia Dortmund at La Rosaleda!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I have the pleasure of taking you through this mouth-watering encounter tonight!
There's sure to have been a vibrant atmosphere in Andalusia today. Never before has Malaga played in the quarter-finals of the Champions League before and I'm sure the passionate support will continue to make the most of their maiden voyage in the competition!
Another first for Malaga tonight: Manuel Pellegrini's men have never faced German opposition in Europe before. Quite an occasion, then!
However, there's no room for sentimentality here. Dortmund are the only unbeaten team left in the Champions League this season, following Juventus' defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday. We really are in for a cracking match!
Hope I haven't jinxed it!
Don't forget to post your thoughts, feelings, and predictions on the match on to Twitter and to the chat section of our Live Match Centre. You can follow us on Twitter at @goal_intl and you can follow yours truly at @MartinMac1. Get the comments up and I'll post the best of the bunch!
A small glance towards the second leg now...
Malaga have committed 26 more fouls than Borussia Dortmund in the competition and have twelve more bookings than the Germans. Weligton, Martín Demichelis and Manuel Iturra within one yellow card of suspension while Dortmund have none. That trio may be walking on egg shells slightly!
On show tonight we have some of Europe's most exciting young talents. Malaga boast the inclusion of Isco, who has been one of the competition's revelations this season. Whereas Dortmund have the likes of Mario Gotze and Marco Reus in their ranks.
Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini is no stranger to taking an un-fancied team to the semi-finals. The Chilean took Villarreal to the last four of the Champions League in their debut campaign in the competition back in 2005-06.
A blow tonight for Dortmund is ofcourse the exclusion of Mats Hummels. The commanding centre-back is injured and is replaced tonight by Felipe Santana.
La Rosaleda is bouncing as the Champions League sounds out in the stadium! We are just a couple of minutes from kick-off now!
Half time in La Rosaleda. No goals so far but it's certainly been a competitive, enthralling match between Malaga and Borussia Dortmund. The German champions started the better, and have tested with a few well-struck shots, but Los Boquerones have grew into the match and looked dangerous towards the end. Mario Gotze will feel he should have put his side ahead with a couple of strikes whilst through on goal, but he has been denied by the sturdy Willy Caballero so far.
A couple of dangermen have emerged from both sides in the first half. For Malaga, Joaquin is seeing plenty of space down the right-hand and Isco is getting in to his usual pocket in front of the opposition defence. For Dortmund, Gotze is getting in the positions but has been extremely wasteful in his finishing, and Reus' powerful running has proved to be a thorn in the side of the hosts.
Let's get some half time predictions in on the Live Match Centre and on Twitter. You can follow Goal.com at @goal_intl and you can follow yours truly at @MartinMac1. What do we reckon? Will Malaga's ascendancy eventually see them find the net or will Dortmund take a great result back to the Westfalenstadion?
The players have returned to the field! Here we go!
Full time in La Rosaleda. It's a stalemate in Andalusia and Malaga and Dortmund play out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. Willy Caballero and Roman Weidenfeller both saw plenty of action throughout the match and proved to be formidable between the sticks tonight. Mario Gotze are Robert Lewandowski are the guilty parties of the night as both squandered golden opportunities to give the German champions the lead. It's delicately poised as we head into the second leg next week at the Westfalenstadion! I'm Martin Macdonald, thank you for joining us on Goal.com! See you next time!
