Freiburg waste a late free kick as the referee signals for the end of the game.
90'
We're into 'garbage time', as it's called in the NBA, with the game long decided and both teams now playing out the remaining minutes, waiting to hear the final whistle.
88'
The Westfalenstadion is one of the most intimidating grounds to watch a football match in Europe, so to see that Mexican wave that just circled the stadium was a big surprise. I guess everyone is allowed a guilty pleasure.
86'
Schieber has a similar opening to Lewandowski moments earlier, but Baumann races off his line to beat him to the ball.
84'
Lewandowski should have his hattrick there! Schmelzer with a good long crossfield ball to free the Pole behind the defence, and he tries to clip Baumann with his first touch, but sends it over!
82'
Schmelzer just, just, caught offside from Lewandowski's pass after overlapping on the left. A good decision in the end by the linesman.
81'
K. Guédé enters the game and replaces D. Caligiuri.
J. Schieber enters the game and replaces M. Reus.
80'
Confidence is absolutely coursing through Nuri Sahin now, the Turk tries an ambitious strike on goal off a free-kick from an odd angle 30 yards out, and Baumann has to punch clear.
79'
M. Mujdža enters the game and replaces O. Sorg.
M. Mujdža gets yellow.
78'
L. Bittencourt has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by R. Lewandowski.
Bittencourt, off the bench and onto the scoresheet! The substitute turns home at the far post, but all the credit must go to Lewandowski, who goes on an amazing run on the left that takes him past three players and allows him to slide across the face of goal!

Description
77'
L. Bittencourt enters the game and replaces M. Götze.
76'
K. Großkreutz enters the game and replaces J. Błaszczykowski.
Schmid with a tame 25-yard free kick that Weidenfeller laps up with ease. I think that's Weidenfeller's first touch of the second half.
74'
N. Subotić gets yellow.
We're well into the makings of a rout here. Dortmund look like scoring every time they get the ball, their penetration down the wings is simply too much to bear for the visitors.
72'
N. Şahin has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
Caligiuri with a half-chance to get a goal back for Freiburg, but his effort from the near post goes harmlessly over the bar.
It matters little though, as Sahin makes it 4-1! It's Kuba of course setting things in motion on the wing, delivering into the box where Sahin is waiting to poke into the roof of the net!
Gotze goes tumbling inside the area under pressure from Krmas. A 50-50 call, and the referee decides the way of Freiburg, much to the indignation of the home side.
71'
F. Diagne enters the game and replaces J. Schuster.
Reus is freed into space by a one-touch clip from Gundogan. He goes for a spectacular half-volley, but gets it all wrong and it trickles out for a goalkick.
70'
Great skill from Sahin to find Kuba on the right, who in turn squares to Gotze in the centre, but the ball is just deflected out of play. Close call again for the visitors.
69'
How is it not 4-1? Gotze, not for the first time, leaves Gunter for dead and squares towards Reus at the top of the box. His flick-on misses, but the ball still rolls kindly to Sahin, 18 yards out, but his shot is smashed just wide via a deflection!
68'
Schmid with one of Freiburg's only attacks of the second half, which ends as quickly as it begins with a cross into no man's land.
67'
Sorg with a risky pass back to his goalkeeper which just, just, evades the attentions of Gotze.
65'
Clever ball from Gundogan into the area, that Reus almost pounces on, but is beaten to the punch by Baumann. Almost a nifty fourth!
63'
Both Reus and Gotze have a run at Ginter in quick succession, but both times, the 19-year-old defender stands his ground and gets a tackle in. Great defending.
61'
Piszczek with another excellent ball into the box that nearly sees Freiburg collapse again. With Lewandowski, Reus and Gundogan teeing up for the finish, its left to Sorg to make a crucial clearance.
59'
Santana with a hint of a mistake after swinging and missing on a clearance, but recovers in time to hack the ball clear at the second attempt before Kruse had even got his bearings.
57'
Dortmund certainly playing with a lot more composure here in the second half. A 3-1 lead will do that for you.
55'
Kuba, with one touch, leaves Gunter for dead, but just outdoes himself slightly as his touch is too far for him to catch up to, and it rolls out for a goalkick.
53'
Gotze takes Gunter out of the equation with a lovely step over, and squares towards Lewandowski inside the six yard area, but Krmas hacks the ball away just in time.
52'
Sahin collects the ball in his favored zone just outside the penalty area, but instead of shooting, he elects to clip in towards Reus, but Baumann scampers off his line to snare the ball.
51'
Good pressure from Lewandowski forces Ginter to pass back to Baumann for a hurried punt forward.
49'
Sahin has another go from 25 yards out, but sends it off target. No surprise to see Kuba set the play in motion with another determined run down the flanks.
47'
Gundogan does well to win the ball in midfield, stride forward, and slip in Reus on goal. The forward appears to have slipped under Baumann for the fourth goal, but the keeper makes a quite fantastic save almost from under himself to keep the ball out. And Buamann is not happy with his defence for allowing that play to develop!

45' +2
Thankfully for my keyboard-weary fingers, the referee signals for half time!
45' +1
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
Don't blink or you'll miss a goal! It's 3-1 to Dortmund! Freiburg absolutely collapse at the back as they miss multiple opportunities to clear a single Dortmund advance into their box. Kuba again does fantastically well on the left to cut back from the byline. The ball deflects off Reus and Krmas, but Lewandowski is on hand to poke home his second from about 10 yards out!
44'
N. Şahin has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
SUBLIME SAHIN! Well I criticized him earlier, but the Turkish midfielder responds in some style! Kuba does brilliantly on the left to wriggle past two players and slide into the path of Sahin, who smashes across Baumann into the opposite side! An excellent finish!
43'
It takes a set piece for Dortmund to get back into the contest after struggling to create many meaningful moments from open play. But Jurgen Klopp and Co. will take that with both arms. Make no mistake, it was a fine header from Lewandowski.
41'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by N. Şahin.
BVB ARE LEVEL! From the resulting set piece, Sahin clips towards the far post where Lewandowski, unmarked, rises highest to nod into the opposite side of the goal! 1-1!
40'
J. Schuster gets yellow.
Kuba smirks ruefully after he was penalized for controlling the ball with his arm inside the area. A loud shout goes up from the stands, and the referee obliges.
Gotze sent crashing to the ground after his barreling run was put to a halt by Schuster. A rough challenge, and a yellow card for the midfielder.
38'
Sahin with another giveaway in midfield as Schuster wins the ball off him. Not the best game by any stretch for the midfielder.
36'
Freiburg respond with some high pressing that forces Dortmund to keep possession inside their own half for a few minutes. The visitors have really been impressive so far.
34'
Dortmund have switched to a very high line, which is just about doing the job at the moment. Still, the likes of Terrazzino are lurking menacingly on the shoulder.
32'
No signs yet of a response from BVB, as their play has devolved into the tempo with which they started the game. Freiburg, in fact, have looked close to breaking through on a couple of occasions.
30'
Just when Dortmund looked to have gotten their bearings, the visitors hit them at the other end of the pitch. Freiburg had started better, and probably just deserve to be in front here.
28'
J. Schmid has scored a goal for Freiburg! Assist by M. Kruse.
GOAL! A deserved opener for Freiburg, and what a well-worked goal it was! Schuster plays an excellent ball into the area, finding Kruse on the byline near the far post. With Dortmund's defence all at sea, he clips towards the opposite post, where Schmid hammers the ball home! 1-0!
27'
Schmelzer sends in a teasing cross into the area that no one attacks. Still, that left flank is shaping up to be a real problem area for Freiburg, as BVB get better and better.
26'
This time it's Kuba attacking on the left flank, and his low centre nearly picks out Lewandowski for a surefire tap in, but Krmas gets there first and makes the clearance.
25'
Gotze goes streaming down the left flank and almost loses his footing, but keeps poise long enough to cross to Lewandowski. The Polish striker takes it on his chest, but Gunter pokes the ball away before he can get his shot off.
24'
Baumann almost put in a spot of bother after he hesitated in picking up a potential backpass with Lewandowski lurking. It was not a backpass though, and the keeper realizes this just in time to pick the ball up.
22'
Blaszczykowski and Piszczek link up well on the right flank. The latter has a chance to send the ball into the area with Lewandowski unmarked, but can't get his radar right, and instead skids his cross near the top of the box.
20'
Santana simply shrugs Terrazzino off the ball, and play is quite rightfully allowed to continue. Good physical defending from the Brazilian.
18'

16'
Great save from Baumann! The delivery is headed to the edge of the box, where Gotze beats his man to the punch and rips a delicious half-volley towards goal which Baumann tips over the bar!
15'
First threat really from Dortmund, after Sahin's shot is charged down and goes out for a corner.
13'
Subotic dallies on the ball and has it taken off his toes by Kruse, who tries to catch Weidenfeller off his line, but gets it horribly wrong. Still, that's the second time that Neven Subotic has given the ball away carelessly.
11'
Weidenfeller is forced to tip a seemingly routine catch over the bar after an awkward bounce! BVB living dangerously here, with potential banana peels all over the place.
10'
And one such giveaway by Reus in the middle is almost punished, when Schuster storms forward and picks out Flum, who streamed in unmarked from deep and flashes just wide of the far post!
8'
Dortmund have not really settled into this game at all. Their play is very disjointed in midfield, and they have given the ball away noticeably.
6'
An the Brazilian is involved straight away, playing Terrazzino onside after the rest of the defence had stepped up, but also recovering well to put the striker off after he had gotten ahead of Weidenfeller!
5'
No Mats Hummels of course for Dortmund, who has been ruled out for at least a month with torn ankle ligaments after his risky cameo in the derby against Schalke backfired. In his stead, as usual, is Felipe Santana.
3'
A fairly tepid start to the game with both teams still feeling each other out. Schmid wins a free-kick on the left after a trip by Gundogan.

And here we go!
Greetings everyone, and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between Dortmund and Freiburg at the Westfalenstadion! I'm Keeghann Sinanan, bringing you the play by play.
With Bayern Munich's ridiculous 20-point lead at the top of the table all but wrapping up this season's Bundesliga title, the race for the Champions League places is what most are paying attention to. Dortmund sit second on 46 points, but are only a solitary point ahead of Leverkusen, and are favorites for a win here today.
We're just about ready to get underway here...
An absolutely devastating finale to the first half from the Bundesliga champions. After looking second best for the majority of the game, they turn it on with half time looming and hit Freiburg for three goals. Some shocking defending late on from the visitors, especially during the buildup to the third. But take nothing away from BVB, who suddenly look close to having the points wrapped up. Freiburg have a lot to do in the second half. Stay tuned.
What started as a potential banana skin turned out to be a demolition job for Dortmund who, with Lewandowski, Kuba and especially Sahin in fine form, smash five goals past Frieburg. Some wonderful goals, and the defending champions solidify their hold on second place.
That's my cue, from me, Keeghann Sinanan, it's been a pleasure.
