Southampton finally get the goal their play has deserved as a ball into the box from Jack Cork eventually finds it way to Rickie Lambert, who beats Al-Habsi to the ball to nod in from point-blank range.
62'
It's difficult to put into words how one-sided this game has been. All Southampton need to do is find the killer touch in the final third. So far they haven't done it.

We're underway at the DW Stadium
Good afternoon and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of Wigan v Southampton. I'm Nicholas McGee and I will be taking you through the action as these two teams meet in what is a vital game at the bottom of the Premier League.
So just one change for Southampton, with Luke Shaw coming in for Danny Fox at left-back, while Wigan hand a second debut to Paul Scharner, with Ronnie Stam and Emmerson Boyce also coming in to the side.
So Wigan and Southampton meet for only the second time in the Premier League, the last time was earlier this season, when the Latics ran out 2-0 winners at St Mary's thanks to goals from Franco Di Santo and Arouna Kone.
A lot on the line for both sides today, Southampton can move six points clear of the drop zone with a win, while Wigan can pull out of the bottom three if they triumph.
The teams emerge from the tunnel and are ready for action.
The referee blows his whistle to signal half-time and it is Wigan who lead at the break thanks to Gary Caldwell, Southampton have perhaps had the better of the game but Wigan have been the more clinical and have something to protect in the second half.
There is not another twist in the tale in Lancashire as the full-time whistle signals the end of the game, both teams will have to settle for a share of the spoils but Southampton will feel aggrieved not to have taken all three after dominating the game and leading with minutes left to play.
So that's it from me after a frantic encounter at the DW Stadium, this is a result that could be vital in the end of the season shake-up but you sense both teams will be a little disappointed. This is Nicholas McGee signing off!
