Benzema has a chance to steal all three points but his shot from 20 yards is straight at Fernandez. That just about sums up Madrid's night.
90' +3
Osasuna's players are happy to hit the ball anywhere in the Madrid half. We are moments away from an upset here after another abject performance from Mourinho's men.
90' +2
We've got some handbags at the Reyno de Navarra! Osasuna's Lolo is shown a yellow card after a shove, while Madrid's German star Mesut Ozil is also booked.
90' +1
Kike Sola gets yellow.
M. Özil gets yellow.
Lolo gets yellow.
There will be three minutes of added time here in Pamplona.
90'
Sola races on to a pass from Oier but the linesman has his flag up, much to the dismay of the Osasuna striker. Correct decision.
89'
Are Madrid going to drop more points away from home?? If the score remains the same here they will have won four, drawn two and lost four so far on the road in the league this season.
87'
OSASUNA WANT A PENALTY! Sola goes down under a challenge from Albiol but there was no contact from the Madrid centre-back, and he is rightfully told to get to his feet by Carlos Clos.
86'
Joseba Llorente enters the game and replaces Cejudo.
Sola looks to drive into the Madrid box but cannot keep control of the ball after hurdling a wild sliding tackle from Alonso. That was unfortunate for the Osasuna striker, as if Alonso hadn't pushed him off course he could have been through on goal.
84'
Corner to Madrid...
Varane heads over for the visitors under pressure from Arribas.
Minute
Description
83'
After a quiet first half, it's all been happening since the break! No goals as yet though, not legitimate ones anyway.
82'
That would have been some way for Damia to score his first goal for the club!
81'
WHAT A STRIKE FROM DAMIA!! The Osasuna player belies his defensive instincts by connecting wonderfully on the volley after the ball fell to him 40 yards from goal. His rising shot slams just wide of Casillas' right-hand post much to the amazement of the crowd.
79'
CALLEJON HAS A GOAL DISALLOWED!! Madrid are furious with the linesman after he raises his flag when Callejon has the ball in the net after a decent attacking move and finish.
77'
OSASUNA ARE ON TOP HERE!! Sola has had a fine game for the Mendilibar's side and he's just come close to getting an assist. After ghosting past a tackle from Arbeloa he sends a cross to the back post that Albiol is forced to head behind as Nino was lurking.
76'
Kaká gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
KAKA IS SENT OFF!! The Madrid substitute, who has only been on the pitch 18 minutes, is shown a second yellow card by the referee after standing in front of the ball as Osasuna try and take a free kick. That was idiotic from the Brazilian.
75'
OSASUNA COUNTER FROM THE CORNER! The home side launch a blistering attack as Madrid waste the corner, and only a suspect challenge from Alonso on the edge of his own box stops Sola from going through one-on-one with Casillas.
74'
But now Madrid have a corner of their own. Damia panics slightly under pressure from Benzema and smashes the ball behind.
73'
Varane meets the corner with his head but Madrid fail to counter effectively as the ball runs all the way through to Fernandez in the Osasuna goal.
72'
Albiol gets across to block the cross from Damia as Osasuna continue to threaten going forward. They have ANOTHER corner here.
71'
Immediately after getting a yellow Alonso goes flying into another challenge! A true professional.
70'
Xabi Alonso gets yellow.
Clos has shown another yellow card, this time to Alonso. I'm not quite sure what for but the Roja centurion looks fairly peeved about the decision.
69'
SMART SAVE FROM CASILLAS! The Madrid No. 1 is forced into making his second stop of the evening, as he gets down low to his left to keep out Armenteros' arrowed drive that appeared to be heading for the bottom corner.
68'
M. Özil enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Madrid have made their third and final substitution, as Modric is withdrawn to be replaced by Mesut Ozil.
67'
LOLO HEADS OVER FOR OSASUNA! The midfielder has a chance to break the deadlock as he rises highest at a corner, but his effort goes harmlessly over Casillas' crossbar. Cue groans from the Osasuna fans.
66'
Osasuna win a corner on the right, but Armenteros' dangerous delivery is cleared away eventually by Benzema on the volley after Albiol's weak header had failed to do the job.
64'
That's poor from Callejon! The Madrid forward overruns the ball inside the Osasuna box after a quickly-taken free kick from Alonso appeared to have caught the home team on the back foot. There was a slight nudge from Damia on Callejon but he still should have kept the ball in play.
62'
Alonso wins the ball brilliantly 45 yards from goal and swiftly moves the ball on to the other Madrid substitute, Benzema. He attempts to chip a pass towards Callejon who is making a run into the box but Fernandez seizes the ball before the Spaniard can connect with the cross.
60'
Kaká gets yellow.
Good first involvement from Kaka... not. The Brazilian is shown a yellow card within minutes of being introduced after flying into a tackle with Oier.
59'
Benzema scored an outrageous Marco van Basten-esque volley in the corresponding fixture last season. Oh for a repeat of that fabulous strike!
58'
Kaká enters the game and replaces G. Higuaín.
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces Á. Di María.
Jose Mourinho is making a couple of changes. Off goes Higuain and Di Maria, and on come Karim Benzema and Kaka. Will they provide the spark Madrid clearly need here?
57'
E. Armenteros gets yellow.
Armenteros finds his way into the book after pulling the shorts of Callejon as he tries to dribble away from a couple of challenges on the halfway line. That was a brave option from Armenteros, not sure how he thought he would get away with it!
56'
Madrid are really on the back foot here! Osasuna, let me remind you, are bottom of La Liga, with just 14 points from a possible 54.
55'
A cheeky nutmeg from Cejudo on Coentrao looks to have opened some space up for Osasuna as they attack but Raul Albiol drifts across to thwart the attacker as he tries to retrieve the ball after it passed through the legs of the flummoxed Portugal left-back.
53'
Right guys and girls, Madrid are looking rubbish at the moment. Who do you think they should bring on to change the game? Their bench consists of: Jesus, Carvalho, Marcelo, Essien, Ozil, Kaka and Benzema. Post your replies in the comment box on the right!
52'
GOOD PUNCH FROM FERNANDEZ! The Osasuna goalkeeper gets to Alonso's high free kick ahead of Varane and fists the ball far away from his goal.
51'
Again it takes some calm play from Xabi Alonso to avert the danger for Madrid, the midfielder stepping back into defence to nick the ball from Sola and pass the ball out to Arbeloa in space on the right.
50'
The home team have dominated the first five minutes of this second half. Oier has just slammed a half volley wide from 18 yards after decent play from Cejudo.
49'
Osasuna get the ball into the Madrid box but Xabi Alonso shows good awareness to shepherd it out of play under pressure from Sola. Wise decision-making there from the former Liverpool heart-throb.
48'
Armenteros failed to make the set piece count though, as his swinging cross fell straight on the head of Varane, who happily cleared the ball away.
47'
The Madrid goalkeeper parried the ball behind for a corner after Sola had cut in from the left and sent a dipping effort at goal from 25 yards.
46'
We are back underway here in Pamplona, and Kike Sola has just forced a good stop from Casillas early in the second half!
45' +2
And there is the half-time whistle from Carlos Clos!
45' +1
COENTRAO CURLS A SHOT JUST WIDE!! Callejon does really well to keep the ball in play as it looks set to run out for a goal kick. With Fernandez out of position he sets up Coentrao but the left-back cannot get an effort on target with a number of Osasuna bodies defending on the line.
45'
Oier gets yellow.
Higuain is flagged offside as Madrid try and threaten at the end of this first half. Seconds after that Osasuna's Oier hacks his way into Clos' notebook with a rash tackle on Higuain, as the opening 45 minutes finishes in stop-start fashion.
43'
CEJUDO RIFLES A SHOT OVER!! Osasuna's No. 16 combines well with Armenteros on the left before hammering a strike over Casillas' crossbar. Good play from the home team!
41'
Nino wins a corner for the home side after driving at Varane, but Arribas wastes Nino's good work by fouling Arbeloa at the set piece. The referee spots the infringement and awards Madrid a free kick.
40'
Osasuna have resorted to hoofing the ball forward and hoping Kike Sola does something spectacular in the last few minutes, and as yet, he has not delivered.
38'
Some decent wing play from Coentrao nearly fashions a chance for Higuain, but the striker cannot quite get on the end of the left-back's enticing cross after he had beaten a couple of challenges on his way to the byline.
36'
GOOD EFFORT FROM CALLEJON! The Madrid man sends an unorthodox header onto the roof of Fernandez's net after connecting with Khedira's chipped pass from midfield. Madrid are getting closer...
34'
HIGUAIN NEARLY HAS A CHANCE TO SCORE!! Modric sprays a fine pass out to the overlapping Coentrao on the left, but his cut-back to Higuain is slightly under-hit and Arribas is able to hack the ball away as the Argentina international shapes to shoot.
33'
STAT ATTACK: Ronaldo has been directly involved in 10 of Real Madrid's last 16 goals against Osasuna, scoring 7 and assisting 3.
32'
Everyone loves a Cristiano Ronaldo stat don't they??
30'
More fine defensive play from Osasuna! Bertran steals the ball in his own half from Higuain and then embarks on a jaunt through the heart of the Madrid midfield before playing a pass through to Kike Sola.
29'
Coentrao is not happy with Clos' decision to award Osasuna a free kick here as he tries to hold off a challenge from Cejudo. The Madrid full-back needs to keep schtum though, particularly after Sergio Ramos was given a five-match ban for insulting a referee during Madrid's Copa del Rey win this week.
27'
Seconds after that let off for Osasuna, Angel Di Maria nearly breaks the deadlock for the visitors, but his firecracker of a shot from 30 yards whistles just wide of Fernandez's right-hand post.
25'
WHAT WAS FERNANDEZ DOING THERE??? The Osasuna goalkeeper comes rushing off his line to try and clear the ball before it reaches Higuain, but the Madrid attacker gets there first! The Argentina forward takes the ball past Fernandez well before hammering a cross towards Callejon who is waiting inside the box. Only a last-ditch clearance from Arribas stops the ball from reaching the Madrid canterano, and Fernandez is able to breath a HUGE sigh of relief.
23'
MARVELLOUS TACKLE FROM ARRIBAS! The Osasuna centre-back dispossesses HIguain superbly on the edge of his own penalty area as Madrid start to press forward more as the first half wears on.
22'
Do get it involved with our commentary this evening whenever you so wish by posting your thoughts on the game in the comments box to the right of this commentary. As always, we would love to hear from you!
20'
Armenteros' cross fails to beat the first man though, as Raphael Varane is able to head the ball up field unchallenged by an opponent.
19'
They win another free kick in Madrid's half, this time over on the left, and it is Armenteros that stands over the ball as his coach Jose Luis Mendilibar waves men forward from the back.
18'
Cejudo whips a free kick to the back post from the right that the Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa just about heads away from danger under pressure from Arribas. Osasuna are enjoying a decent spell at the moment. Can they take a surprise lead?
16'
A sloppy touch from Coentrao gifts Osasuna a throw-in in front of the dugouts. Jose Mourinho's men have lost their composure a bit in the last few minutes.
15'
TENTATIVE PLAY FROM MADRID! Callejon starts a counter attack with a swift pass down the left to Di Maria but the Argentine's slow decision-making as he bears down on goal allows a number of Osasuna players to get back in position and outnumber Madrid's attackers. The ball eventually gets played through to Higuain but play is stopped after the linesman raises his flag on the far side.
13'
Rubén González gets yellow.
Alonso overcooks the resulting free kick, the ball flying straight out for a goal kick to Osasuna despite Sami Khedira's best efforts to keep it in play on the right side of the box.
12'
The Osasuna fans are up on their feet here after Jose Callejon goes down under a challenge from Ruben. The Madrid man certainly made the most of that challenge, with his reaction prompting the referee to show Ruben a yellow card for the foul.
11'
DAMIA SHOOTS WIDE FOR OSASUNA!! The home side's utility man shanks an effort past the left-hand post from 20 yards after the ball sat up invitingly for him following a tame header from Raul Albiol.
9'
GREAT DEFENDING FROM COENTRAO!! The Portugal international, who is often criticised for his defensive play, reads a couple of Osasuna passes brilliantly to intercept the ball and steal possession as the home team look to attack.
8'
Madrid have another free kick in the Osasuna half after Oier handles the ball as Higuain tries to play a pass through to Angel Di Maria. Again the free kick is wasted by Alonso though, as Ruben is able to clear it away with his head on the edge of the penalty area.
7'
Luka Modric ambles over to take the corner for Madrid, and is pelted by bits of rubbish from the crowd as he runs up to take the kick. Not sure he deserves that to be honest with you!
6'
Some decent defending from Marc Bertran stops Gonzalo HIguain from getting an early shot away inside the Osasuna box, but it is at the expense of a corner to the away team.
5'
Osasuna think they should have a corner kick over on the right after the ball clearly comes off Xabi Alonso's left boot before going behind, but the linesman who is mere yards away awards a goal kick to the visitors, much to the crowd's vociferous dismay.
4'
The Spain international dusts himself down to take the set piece, but his lofted pass is headed away easily by Alejandro Arribas, who returns from suspension to start for Osasuna this evening.
3'
That's a foul from Osasuna's Armenteros on Xabi Alonso 45 yards from the home team's goal, and Real Madrid are correctly awarded a free kick by the referee Carlos Clos.
2'
Alvaro Cejudo's high pass forward runs straight through to Iker Casillas in the Real Madrid goal though and the away side are able to get a foot on the ball.
1'
Osasuna get the game started, and immediately look to break down the right.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, may I wish you a warm and hearty welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of Real Madrid's Liga trip to Osasuna.
My name is Charlie Scott, and I'm the lucky man bringing you colourful updates from the Reyno de Navarra stadium in Pamplona.
Real Madrid currently sit in third place in La Liga, 16 whole points behind first-placed Barcelona, and five points off their cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid who currently reside in second position. Their opponents tonight, Osasuna, meanwhile, are rooted to the foot of the league table having picked up a meagre 14 points out of a possible 54.
How about some team news then? SPOILER: A certain talented Portugal international doesn't start for Real Madrid tonight... and I'm not talking about Fabio Coentrao, he does start...
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Albiol, Coentrao; Xabi Alonso, Khedira; Modric, Di Maria, Callejon; Higuain
Subs: Ricardo, Flano, Punal, de las Cuevas, Llorente, Timor, Loe
MADRID ARE WITHOUT THE SUSPENDED RONALDO! Gonzalo Higuain makes his first start since early November for los Blancos, as they make do without their suspended talisman Cristiano Ronaldo after he picked up his fifth booking of the season during the 4-3 win over Real Sociedad last weekend. Jose Callejon comes in for Ronaldo, while Sergio Ramos and Antonio Adan - who are also ruled out through suspension, are replaced by Iker Casillas and Raul Albiol.
The home side's main piece of team news is that Alejandro Arribas returns from suspension to start in defence. Their new loan signing from Sporting Gijon, Miguel de las Cuevas, is named on the bench.
Out come the teams here at the Reyno de Navarra. We are just moments away from kick-off.
HALF-TIME: OSASUNA 0-0 REAL MADRID A low-key first half here at the Reyno de Navarra stadium saw neither side get on the scoresheet. Osasuna defended well to limit the attacking threat of Real Madrid, who looked fairly toothless without their suspended top goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo. The home side's goalkeeper Andres Fernandez has made some awful decisions to come off his line in the opening 45 minutes, but los Blancos have failed to make him pay.
Join me in 10 minutes for the second half of this Liga clash. I very much doubt this will end 0-0.
Bring on Karim Benzema I say! The France international scored one of the best goals I saw over the whole of last season in this fixture - a stonking volley from an acute angle.
FULL-TIME: OSASUNA 0-0 REAL MADRID A Ronaldo-less Real Madrid stuttered to a goalless draw here at the Reyno de Navarra against Osasuna. Mendilibar's side defended well during the 90 minutes and if anything looked the more threatening going forward. Sola was a constant danger for the Pamplona team, as Madrid's makeshift defence looked shaky. The draw takes Osasuna off the foot of the table, while it means Madrid have now drawn twice and lost four times during their 10 away fixtures in La Liga this season.
Not good enough for Madrid, while Osasuna will be delighted with the result. Barcelona now have a chance to stretch the gap between them and los Blancos to 18 points tomorrow evening.
That's all from me for tonight guys and girls. I've been Charlie Scott, you've all been great. Good night!
