Alaba skids it wide of the right post from 25 yards from the left edge of the box.
89'
Only a couple of minutes until the end of this Bundesliga clash. Bayern are without a doubt heading home winners, but can they grab a fourth?
87'
Bayern supporters are chanting the German word for goodbye as Hamburg supporters begin to empty the Imtech Arena!
85'
Bayern are mainly working possession down the left wing but their desire has ebbed out of them and they're just going through the motions as this match closes out now.
83'
Rafinha enters the game and replaces F. Ribéry.
Rafinha comes on for my own personal man of the match (at this point), Franck Ribery.
81'
Bayern's players are just casually passing the ball around the 18-yard box, every player oozing confidence.
78'
Hamburg's fans are at least having a good sing-song despite their team playing without teeth!
76'
Fun fact: Hamburg are the only club to have played in every single Bundesliga season! Yep, not a lot going on right now to tell you about in this match...
75'
A. Tymoshchuk enters the game and replaces T. Kroos.
74'
Jansen gets a good shouting-at by Boateng for what can only be described as a dive. Or 'theatrics', if you're feeling kind!
Minute
Description
72'
A whipped free-kick from the high up on the right wing is caught and held comfortably by Neuer. These sort of half-chances are all Hamburg are getting at the moment.
70'
The chances have become a bit more sparse at the Imtech Arena as Bayern take their foot off the gas.
69'
Javi Martínez gets yellow.
68'
Adler spills the ball and accidentally concedes a corner. It's all going wrong even for the best Hamburg player on the pitch today.
67'
Van der Vaart forces a save from Manuel Neuer at the other end from just outside the box! That has to be pretty much the first thing the Germany No.1 has done all game!
65'
Ribery forces a low save from Adler from 25 yards. That guy is having a storming performance tonight.
64'
Bayern are continuing to attack in numbers - 3-0 just is not enough for them it seems!
62'
...But Alaba shoots over the crossbar with a lofted attempt from 20 yards. Hamburg goal-kick.
61'
Ribery wins a free-kick tantalisingly close to the edge of the 18-yard box for Bayern...
59'
D. Aogo enters the game and replaces M. Beister.
Dennis Aogo is brought on with 21 minutes left to play. Can he - or anybody in Hamburg's team - make a difference to this unflattering scoreline?
57'
Rudnevs clatters into Schweinsteiger's groin. Cue men all over the globe wincing and hoping never to see a replay of that one ever again!
56'
Javi Martínez enters the game and replaces Luiz Gustavo.
55'
It's hard to put a finger on where Hamburg are going wrong defensively, but perhaps it's being tentative in attacking that is costing them, as Bayern are not having to worry about tracking back too much.
53'
T. Kroos has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by F. Ribéry.
GOAL! AGAIN! Toni Kroos nearly snaps the net in half as he pelts his shot in from seven yards out, gliding into the area after a one-two with Ribery. Hamburg 0-3 Bayern Munich!
52'
The referee waves away muted penalty appeals from Hamburg after a perfectly fair aerial challenge from Dante.
50'
Bayern are just pouring forwards in their droves now, with Mandzukic denied once more by Adler from a few yards out after Muller's ball in from the right.
48'
T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by F. Ribéry.
Another minute, another Bayern attack! Ribery is the creator this time, sprints down the left and whips the ball in for Muller, but it's an inch or two too high for the Germany starlet.
WHAT A GOAL! Thomas Muller with a jaw-droppingly intricate goal, slipping through the Hamburg defence and moving to the bye line. At such a tight angle a goal looked impossible, but the attacker somehow curled it into the far corner! Brilliant, inspired stuff, which puts Bayern Munich 2-0 up!
47'
Phenomenal save from Adler! The Hamburg goalkeeper keeps out what looked to have been a certain goal, diving to his left to deny Mandzukic his first goal of the game from around 10 yards!
46'
A. Rudņevs enters the game and replaces T. Rincón.
And we're back under way at the Imtech Arena!
45'
The visitors are just easing the ball around the pitch with the sort of calmness that you would expect from the league leaders.
43'
Hamburg are struggling to close down the distance between their forwards and their midfield, which seems to be the reason why they're rarely formulating proper attacks.
41'
M. Jansen gets yellow.
A sour reaction from Jansen when going down in a 5/50 tackle earns him a booking immediately after the hosts conceded the first goal of the game.
40'
B. Schweinsteiger has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by T. Kroos.
GOAL!! Bastian Schweinsteiger scores his fourth goal of the campaign!! Muller nods fantastically forwards, Kroos takes it past Adler but is forced wide of the goal. Ther German attacker takes a second to compose himself then crosses over the defenders heads for his team-mate to nod in with his head at the back post. Hamburg 0-1 Bayern Munich!
37'
Lahm with the shot! Ribery's ball into the ball evaded Mandzukic on the penalty spot but span to the feet of the Germany skipper, though his powerful shot is blocked by Hamburg defenders.
35'
Bayern are in the ascendancy now and Hamburg have not had an attack in at least 15 minutes.
33'
The corners are pinging in and out, in and out, in and out inside Hamburg's area! No sign of an away goal yet though...
32'
D. Diekmeier gets yellow.
Diekmeier is booked for an elbow on Alaba. The right-back is seriously struggling to contain the Bayern full-back and Ribery.
30'
Mandzukic can't control a cross that is hammered in by skipper Philipp Lahm from the right, meaning his chance from 15 yards out is scuppered.
29'
Ribery's magical footwork is on show once again, worming his way down his left wing and crossing a little to heavily for the waiting Bayern team-mates.
27'
RIBERY! A foot or so wide of the right upright from the France international, who is given way too much wiggle room 30 yards from goal.
25'
Inch-perfect looped cross from Alaba on the left which lands square on the head of Mandzukic, though the Bayern striker heads just wide of the left post with a bounce.
24'
F. Ribéry gets yellow.
Ribery gets a fully-deserved yellow card for a late and lazy tackle on Hamburg captain Heiko Westermann.
23'
Most of this match is being played in the middle of the pitch at the moment with chances at a premium.
Mancienne puts in a super tackle inside the box to ensure Alaba cannot get a shot away. Excellent challenge from the former Chelsea defender.
21'
Luiz Gustavo has looked strong when closing down the home side's midfielders so far in this match. You can see why Heynckes keeps picking him despite the signing of Javi Martinez for €40 million in the summer!
19'
Ribery wants a handball...but the referee gives nothing! Rincon's arm did look like it hit the ball just outside the box based on replays, but only slightly.
17'
Play stops as Dennis Diekmeier receives treatment on his ankle just on the edge of Bayern's 18-yard box.
16'
With just over quarter of an hour gone, I think Hamburg fans can be pleased with how their team have started!
15'
Mario Mandzukic clatters into the back of Rincon, who shields the ball well from the Bayern's pressure and wins a deserved free-kick.
13'
Tomas Rincon!!! The Venezuelan midfielder shoots from around 30 yards when the hosts' corner is not properly cleared, and his strike drifts barely inches wide of the left post!
12'
Marcell Jensen - Hamburg's left-back - with a thrilling sprint down the flank, whipping a perfect ball in for Van der Vaart, whose first-time shot is blocked for a corner.
10'
Ten minutes - that's how long it took for TV cameras to find Mrs Van der Vaart! Honestly, it's normally much quicker than that...!
9'
Alaba cracks a fizzing shot from just outside the box from the corner but Hamburg shot-stopper Rene Adler gets down well at his right post to save it.
8'
Mancienne has to clear behind for a corner as the Bavarians push forwards at the other end of the pitch.
7'
A promising move from Hamburg! The hosts craft the first real attack of the match, passing intricately en route to the opposition box, before Van der Vaart's header loops high but not hard enough towards goal. Manuel Neuer has no trouble moving off his line to catch that one.
5'
Toni Kroos trips ex-England Under-21 skipper Michael Mancienne and concedes a free-kick in a similar spot to where Alaba won his, albeit facing in the other direction obviously!
3'
David Alaba wins a free-kick just before the halfway line after tripping over Rafael van der Vaart's sliding figure.
2'
Franck Ribery tries to burst the ball in from the left but the ball is blocked by an anonymous Hamburg defender.
1'
And we're off! Bayern kicking from left to right wearing an all-dark kit, while the hosts are wearing white shirts and red shorts.
Hello, good evening and welcome to Goal.com's play-by-play commentary of Hamburg v Bayern Munich! I'm Miles Chambers and I'll be your host for this match - you can fire any questions and thoughts on the match that you might have @Miles_Chambers on Twitter!
Line-ups coming right up boys and girls...
Hamburg XI: Adler; Diekmeier, Mancienne, Westermann, Jansen; Badelj, Rincon, Arslan; Son, van der Vaart, Beister.
Fun fact: Hamburg head coach Thorsten Fink won four Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich! Can he have success against them this evening instead of with them?
Major title contenders - and reigning Bundesliga champions - Borussia Dortmund dropped points by drawing at home to Stuttgart this afternoon. Die Roten now have an excellent opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table over BVB!
Only a couple of minutes until kick-off! Fire in your predicted scorelines to @Miles_Chambers on Twitter and the best might just be published in here!
Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes and Hamburg trainer giving final words to their players...
Half-time! Bayern munich head in with a 1-0 lead after Bastian Schweinsteiger's headed goal fairly late in the first 45 minutes. Hamburg looked capable of putting up a fight for 15 minutes but eventually crumbled under the contant attacking from the visitors. Can they retaliate in the second half or will Jupp Heynckes men maintain their lead and romp to victory?
The referee doesn't add on any stoppage time! Full-time! Hamburg easily beaten after a resilent first 15 minutes, with Bayern Munich proving devastating in the middle third of the match. Schweinsteiger, Muller and Kroos were the goalscorers in an entertaining game at the Imtech Arena!
That's it from me, Miles Chambers, but stick around on Goal.com for reaction to this match and many more top European clashes today!
