A word for the Bordeaux fans, who have never stopped singing despite an insipid performance from their heroes. Magnifique.
89'
J. Perch gets yellow.
88'
A frustrating piece of play from Cisse as he fails to stay onside after Ferguson had attempted to play him through on goal following a surging run down the left flank.
87'
Bordeaux have a little spell of possession that again falls to nothing as Sane's tame effort as Harper saves with consummate ease.
85'
Some of the fans are starting to head for the exits, and although I've never understood the concept of leaving a game early, I don't blame them. Newcastle have sewn up the points and there is little chance of that changing in the next five minutes.
81'
Newcastle could not be more comfortable if they were sat in the middle of the pitch in deckchairs. Sorry to flog a dead horse, but this has been really easy.
78'
There is absolutely no life left in this game whatsoever. Bordeaux have given in and Newcastle look to have half a mind on Sunday's clash with Manchester United.
74'
Two big cheers from the St James' Park crowd, first as Gael Bigirimana produces an excellent Tiote-like tackle, and secondly as Harper denies Bellion from close range after the striker had beaten the Newcastle offside trap.
72'
L. N'Guémo gets yellow.

Description
71'
D. Gosling enters the game and replaces C. Tioté.
Its Cheikh Tiote who makes way for Gosling. Understandable with Manchester United just around the corner for the Magpies.
70'
Dan Gosling is getting ready to come on, it looks like Demba Ba and Hatem Ben Arfa will sit this one out.
67'
D. Bellion enters the game and replaces Y. Gouffran.
Yoan Gouffran is replaced by former Sunderland-man David Bellion, who receives the customary chorus of boos.
66'
Cisse sees Carrasso off his line and attempts an audacious effort from distance. The keeper is not to be fooled however and saves comfortably.
63'
It has been a very disappointing display from the visitors, they have enjoyed a lot of the possession, but dangerous forays into the Newcastle box have been slim and none from Francis Gillot's side.
61'
G. Bigirimana enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.
60'
A second substitution for Newcastle as Gael Bigirimana replaces Yohan Cabaye.
59'
Nothing much to report from St James' Park at the moment. The game is over as a contest and Bordeaux have offered little going forward.
55'
Any Bordeaux resistance appears to have been quashed, Newcastle are in full command and still have the likes of Hatem Ben Arfa and Demba Ba on the bench.
52'
Replays suggest that Newcastle were perhaps a little fortunate in scoring the third goal. Cisse certainly appeared to be in an offside position when Ferguson played the ball into the box but the assistant referee failed to raise his flag.
49'
P. Cissé has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by S. Ferguson.
However, Newcastle now look to have wrapped the game up! Papiss Cisse, who has struggled for goals so far this term, latching on to a expertly placed cross from Shane Ferguson to deliver an acrobatic volley into the bottom corner. Three assists in three games from the Northern Irishman.
48'
Steve Harper is forced into action early in the second half, as he turns Henri Saivet's flicked effort round the post.
46'
C. Diabaté enters the game and replaces L. Obraniak.
L. N'Guémo enters the game and replaces J. Plašil.
S. Harper enters the game and replaces R. Elliot.
The second half is underway and Newcastle have been forced into one change at the break. Steve Harper replacing Rob Elliot, who appears to have picked up an injury. Bordeaux have wasted no time in changing things. as Landry N'Guemo and Cheick Diabate replacee Jaroslav Plasil and Ludovic Obraniak respectively.
45' +1
There will be one minute of added time at the end of the first half.
44'
V. Anita gets yellow.
42'
The home fans are jubilant after that second goal, and two almost became three as Anita's close-range effort is well saved by Carrasso.
40'
Henrique is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
Newcastle have been on the backfoot for a lot of the first half, double their advantage. Ameobi plays in Danny Simpson down the right-hand side and the returning full back's cross is deflected past Cedric Carrasso by Henrique. A horror moment for the French side.
38'
Bordeaux are completely controlling the midfield at the moment but have little to show for it. Ludovic Sane hits a long range effort which is comfortably saved by Rob Elliot.
35'
Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill is in the stands tonight, and he will have been impressed with the performance of young left-back Shane Ferguson. The 21-year-old has two assists in his last two games and has done a good job of marshalling the exciting Saivet this evening.
33'
Bordeaux appeal for a penalty as Henri Saivet's cross is blocked by Mike Williamson. The visitors believe the ball may have struck his arm, but replays show that it clearly deflected off his chest.
31'
Newcastle have lost a bit of edge since the opener. A second goal would be of great use to Alan Pardew's team right now.
28'
Dangerous moments for the Magpies as Mariano plays a superb long pass into the path of Jussie who chests the ball down into Gouffran, the striker cannot find the net however as his shot is deflected over the bar.
25'
Worrying signs for Newcastle as Cheikh Tiote limps from the field with what looks like an ankle injury. The midfielder receives some treatment on the sidelines and soon returns to the fray.
21'
Bordeaux have responded quite well to going behind but look very shaky at the back, especially for a side that is on a 17-game unbeaten run, this one could be a high-scoring affair.
20'
C. Tioté gets yellow.
16'
Shola Ameobi has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by G. Obertan.
Newcastle have the lead and its Gabriel Obertan who is heavily involved. Cabaye plays a wonderful cross-field ball into the path of the winger who beats Mariano before delivering a pinpoint low cross into Shola Ameobi who taps in from point-blank range.
13'
Henrique gets yellow.
Big decision for the referee as Henrique brings down Shola Ameobi on the edge of the box after a wonderful through ball from Vurnon Anita. He errs on the side of caution and shows the Brazilian a yellow card. Cabaye sends the resulting free kick into the side netting.
11'
Benoit Tremoulinas is causing Newcastle a few problems down the left-hand side, the full-back whips in another well-placed cross but Yoan Gouffran can only head over the bar.
9'
Bordeaux have come a little more into the game in the last few minutes, and are beginning to control the midfield somewhat.
5'
Huge opportunity for the visitors as Obraniak heads over from close range after a wonderful cross from Tremoulinas.
3'
It's been a fast and open start to the contest, Newcastle look the better of the two sides so far and are enjoying the lion's share of possession.
2'
Early chance for Newcastle as Yohan Cabaye fires an effort just wide of the post from the edge of the area.
1'
The visitors get us underway!
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of Newcastle's Europa League clash with Bordeaux. I'm Nicholas McGee and I'll be taking you through the next 90 minutes as the Magpies look to end Les Girondins 17 game unbeaten run.
So Gabriel Obertan starts against his former club for Newcastle. Yohan Cabaye returns from an infection, while Cheick Tiote, Papiss Cisse and Danny Simpson are all included in the starting line-up. Demba Ba and Hatem Ben Arfa are on the bench.
The visitors name former Manchester United and Sunderland man David Bellion among their substitutes. Yohan Cabaye's former Lille team mate Ludovic Obraniak starts, as does Benoit Tremoulinas, who scored in their 2-0 win over Lyon at the weekend.
The teams emerge from the tunnel, Newcastle in their unfamiliar Green third kit, while Bordeaux's traditional blue and white features a rather glaring pink stripe.
The referee blows for Half-Time and Newcastle will be delighted with the first 45 minutes. The Magpies have not dominated proceedings but have been far more clinical than their French counterparts and find themselves in a commanding position at the interval.
The referee blows the final whistle to confirm Newcastle's emphatic victory.
So that is it from me on a very satisfactory night for the Toon Army. Newcastle were not at the best but didn't need to be to see off a lacklustre Bordeaux side. The Magpies have lost just once at home in 23 European games and they now sit top of Group D with four points from two games. This is Nicholas McGee, signing off!
