Chelsea are running out of time to find a winner and Chiellini is in imperious form for the Old Lady. Heading out from the back, beating Hazard in footraces - the guy's got everything.
90'
Three minutes of added time at the Bridge. Can either side find a winner?
88'
A. Matri enters the game and replaces M. Vučinić.
Alessandro Matri replaces Mirko Vucinic for Juve.
87'
Quagliarella comes OH SO CLOSE to getting his second and Juve's winner. He turns inside the box and shoots on the turn, all in one movement. His lofted, curving, spinning shot clips the topside of the crossbar and Chelsea escape again.
86'
And now it's Juve's time to enjoy possession of the football. Chelsea's attacking pressure isn't as good as in the earlier stages of the match. The Italian's are pushing for a winner here.
82'
The Italian's are now very much the more confident side. John Terry tried to play Marchisio offside but the Italian's run was timed perfectly. The former England captain is to blame for that one, I'm afraid.
80'
F. Quagliarella has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by C. Marchisio.
Goal for Juventus! Quagliarella the scorer! Marchisio plays a through-ball to perfection to the striker and with time on his side, he slots the ball underneath the advancing Petr Cech. Poor defending from Chelsea and it had been coming.
79'
Mata and Hazard exchange some delicious one-two's until the Spaniard is sent through on goal from the left. His side-footed shot finds the side netting and half the ground thought it was in as muffled cheers echo round. Should have done better there.
77'
M. Isla enters the game and replaces S. Lichtsteiner.
75'
F. Quagliarella enters the game and replaces S. Giovinco.
Minute
Description
74'
Mata enters the game and replaces Oscar.
Oscar makes way for Juan Mata, who is making his return to the Chelsea XI after missing out on the QPR match.
72'
Giovinco looks a promising player but is lacking end product in this game. The little Italian advances on the penalty area, turns past a player or two to work a decent shooting opportunity. Unfortunately the shot goes high and very, very wide.
69'
R. Bertrand enters the game and replaces Ramires.
Ramires makes way for Bertrand, which may prove to be a bizarre decision as Oscar lies on the ground receiving treatment for a stamp on the achilles.
67'
Jon Obi Mikel has given the ball away and Juventus are starting to dominate possession. Ryan Bertrand's arrival is imminent. Roberto Di Matteo's side are looking vulnerable at the moment.
66'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
Marchisio latches onto a somewhat fortunate through-ball but David Luiz gets there just in time to block what would have been a tough shot to save for Petr Cech. Brilliant defending.
63'
Giovinco has a better attempt now though as he brings down a lofted through ball brilliantly on the left and cuts inside to curl one goalwards. Ashley Cole does brilliantly to get his head on it and it goes out for a corner.
61'
But Sebastian Giovinco is the one to take it! And it flies well over the bar. Let-off for Chelsea.
60'
Ramires gets yellow.
Ramires shows his studs in a breakaway tackle that the referee deems foul. The Brazilian gets booked for it and what's more, Pirlo has another brilliant opportunity here.
58'
BIG penalty shout for Chelsea as Hazard races into the box with Barzagli chasing. The defender makes a clumsy, lazy challenge on the back of the Belgian's legs but the referee Pedro Proenca is having none of it, telling Hazard to get to his feet. Wrong decision for me.
57'
Chelsea have Juventus pinned down at the moment. The Blues attacking pressure is at a high level right now, the Bianconeri aren't getting a sniff.
55'
Ramires is flung to the ground after an aerial collision with Gianluigi Buffon. The Brazilian is getting treatment.
53'
Lampard FIRES it goalwards and it's on target, but the rangy Italian goalkeeper palms it strongly to safety. Chelsea will be happy by the amount Juve's man between the sticks is being tested.
52'
Brilliant freekick opportunity for Chelsea now.
51'
Branislav Ivanovic, the goalscoring defender that he is, comes mighty close with a dipping effort 30 yards out. Buffon has to tip it wide and Chelsea are in the ascendancy.
48'
Hazard the magician again as his outside-of-the-boot cross nearly finds an open Ramires. The Brazilian need only have touched it goalwards and the Blues would have been 3-1 up but the cross was just that little bit too high.
46'
Attendance tonight at Stamford Bridge: 40,918.
45' +1
And Juve have a decent freekick opportunity just as the first half is about to come to a close. Pirlo stands over it.
45'
One minute of additional time.
Chelsea resume the match.
44'
Torres and Ramires link up well after some flowing Chelsea play. The latter eventually fires a shot goalwards on the edge of the area, when he should have passed to the waiting Oscar. Instead Buffon punches away.
40'
So, er...maybe I was wrong about 1-1. Who cares! This is proving to be a great game of Champions League football. Five minutes left in the first half.
38'
A. Vidal has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by C. Marchisio.
BUT WAIT! Arturo Vidal gets one back, and it's a great solo goal. The Chilean picks the ball up just outside the penalty area, jinks past a couple of players and nutmegs one more with his left-footed shot, which rifles past Cech into the bottom corner. Great goal and it's back to game-on!
37'
Juventus will be regretting those two brilliant chances now. Both Marchisio and Vucinic should have scored, and now they find themselves two goals down! Robbi Di Matteo really has the knack for the Champions League!
36'
What a fantastic couple of minutes for Chelsea, and especially the 21-year-old Brazilian Oscar! They're well on top now, the Blues.
33'
Oscar has scored a goal for Chelsea! Assist by A. Cole.
Oscar scores for Chelsea on his first start! Eden Hazard passes it across the Juve box and the young Brazilian has lots of time to pick a spot from 25-yards out. The shot is deflected horribly past Buffon and into the corner, but the Chelsea number 11 won't care!
31'
Oscar has scored a goal for Chelsea! Assist by E. Hazard.
Unbelievable! Oscar scores another, and this one is a true world-beater! Ashely Cole forces a pass through to the 21-year-old, who loops the ball round a defender and rasps a curling effort around Buffon and into the top corner. Sheer quality!
30'
Mirko Vucinic escapes down the right, which is quickly proving to be Chelsea's weak flank, and really should score. He has EONS of time to take the shot, and fires it wide into the side netting. He didn't even test the goalkeeper. Sure-fire goal for Europe's top strikers, right there.
26'
Sebastian Giovinco breaks free down the right and crosses low to Vucinic. the big striker forces a corner.
24'
Well from one end to the other as Chelsea have a glorious opportunity of their own to take the lead. Hazard fires in a low cross which finds Ramires in the centre of the box, who hesitates, jinks past two defenders and for some reason, abstains from shooting. The ball is eventually cleared following the Brazilian's indecision.
21'
Barzagli fires a hopeful ball up the pitch and somehow Marchisio evades the offside flag to go one-on-one with Petr Cech. The Italian midfielder's touch is heavy and Cech can slide in to deflect the ball wide of goal. BIG chance that, biggest of the match by far.
18'
Hazard loops in a dangerous ball from the left after some fantastic footwork from Lampard in the corner. Fernando Torres gets a touch to it and the ball deflects out for a corner.
16'
Juventus are starting to probe more now, with Pirlo and Vidal beginning to control the midfield. Vidal has just forced a corner with a 25-yard skimmer.
14'
It's worth noting that Juventus have started, as many thought they would, with three at the back. This is proving to be an unpredictable and useful tool for the Italians, especially since this particular tactic is foreign to most Premier League teams.
12'
Both teams look assured defensively. I predicted a 1-1 and, although we have only had 12 minutes...it certainly seems like it will be an attritional match. Chelsea have another corner, which is eventually snapped up by Buffon.
11'
It's fair to say both teams are still feeling each other out, tactically speaking. Juventus are managing to hold onto the ball a bit more now. No clear chances to speak of as yet.
10'
Both sets of fans in good voice as the game kicks off. "We know what we are, we know what we are, Champions of Europe, we know what we are," sing the Chelsea faithful.
6'
Chelsea are winning every 50-50 at the moment, and dare I say, Pirlo hasn't touched the ball yet!
4'
Four minutes gone and Chelsea have already had two corners. The second forces a love save from Buffon after David Luiz made a nuisance of himself in the 6-yard box.
2'
Oscar has been deployed in the hole behind Fernando Torres. Eden Hazard has moved to the left. The Blues enjoying some tasteful, early possession.
1'
Juventus kick-off the match.
Good evening and welcome to Goal.com's play-by-play coverage of Chelsea's return to Champions League football, following their victory over Bayern Munich in the final last season. Tonight's opponents: Italian Champions, Juventus.
And here is Chelsea's starting XI: Cech; Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Oscar, Hazard; Torres
The teams met in the 2008/09 round of 16 when a 12th-minute Didier Drogba goal gave Chelsea a 1-0 first-leg victory in London before a 2-2 draw in Turin.
Juventus have not won on their last 11 competitive outings in England, losing eight and drawing three, including their 2003 UEFA Champions League final penalty shoot-out defeat by AC Milan.
So Chelsea return to the Champions League this evening, the competition that they won for the very first time last season and there's something of a new look to this team compared to the 2011/12 winners.
New-boy Eden Hazard will certainly be a danger-man this evening, who seems to have galvanised the previously ineffective Fernando Torres, but Juventus have fantastic players of their own - most notably, Andrea Pirlo, with whom many of Chelsea's players will be familiar.
Roberto Di Matteo: We have to start fresh. We live in the present now and we need to focus on getting into the knockout stages. We have to take the initiative.
The Italian manager has offered Brazilian midfielder Oscar his first start for the club, and what a match!
The mobile phones of 40,000 Chelsea fans are click-clacking away here as the Champions League trophy is paraded around the Bridge by six members of the Armed Forces.
Pirlo drags it wide and it's half-time at the Bridge. Chelsea lead courtesy of two goals from Brazilian youngster Oscar!
Chelsea 2-2 Juventus is the final score. Chelsea will rue some poor defending in letting a 2-goal lead slip, but they've found a brilliant player in the young Brazilian Oscar.
Last season, Chelsea won ALL of their home games in the Champions League so Roberto Di Matteo will be disappointed with the end result tonight.
Thanks for joining Goal.com's coverage of the Champions League. Good evening!
