Ohhh very close from Benzema! He picks the ball up 20 yards from goal and strikes at Tono but the ball whistles by the post!
88'
Di Maria whips a dangerous cross into the box for Benzema but Tono comes out and attempts to claim! The ball goes behind but Benzema was flagged as offside anyway.
86'
Xabi Alonso picks out Marcelo down the left with a glorious cross-field pass. The Brazilian picks up and drives forward but Nyom remains solid to deny him a path into the box.
84'
The game is pretty much winding down now. Granada aren't showing any real desire to get a consolation goal and Real Madrid aren't pressing for a fourth.
82'
Higuain goes close! The Argentine does through on goal and on the stretch, dinks the ball over Tono but it goes agonizingly past the right-hand post!
80'
A fairly odd match this evening. Madrid have netted three times and haven't been anywhere near their best. Clinical finishing has perhaps been the difference.
78'
Granada will do well to keep it at three at the moment, they are really on the back foot.
76'
G. Higuaín has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by K. Benzema.
GOOOOOOAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! 3-0! Simple enough. Benzema picks the ball up inside the box just to the left of goal and picks out Higuain at the back post who taps home. Game over.
74'
Jaime Romero enters the game and replaces Fabián Orellana.
Another change for Granada as Fabian Orellana comes off for Jaime Romero.
73'
Ozil has looked a little out-of-sorts since his introduction. His touch and passing has not been assured liked usual. Perhaps a little nervous about the arrival of a certain Croatian?
Minute
Description
71'
Di Maria plays a ball into the feet of Higuain and the Argentine collects and turns sharply inside the box before attempting to cut a cross back into the middle but Mainz defends well and puts the ball out for a corner.
69'
G. Torje enters the game and replaces Juanma Ortiz.
Arbeloa gets yellow.
Madrid have been playing in second gear for the last ten minutes. With Granada two goals down and a man down, they realise the points are in the bag.
67'
Iriney robs Alonso of possession in the middle of the park and drives forward. He attempts to play a ball down the left but the ball comes off the hand of Arbeloa. The referee deems it deliberate and books the Madrid man.
65'
The challenge by Borja Gomez that got him sent off appears to have shook up Ronaldo a little. Mourinho takes no risks and brings him off for Higuain.
64'
G. Higuaín enters the game and replaces Cristiano Ronaldo.
63'
Di Maria shows lightning pace down the right and has a terrific footrace down the flank with Siqueira. The Granada man comes out on top this time but this could be an interesting duel for the last 30 minutes.
62'
Mainz enters the game and replaces Y. El-Arabi.
61'
First change of the match for Granada, and it is a forced one. Youssef El-Arabi comes off to be replaced by Diego Mainz. A defender on for a forward.
60'
Borja Gómez gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
59'
Borja Gomez is sent off! It gets from bad to worse for Granada! He earns his second yellow card for cynically fouling Ronaldo when the Portuguese was on his way past him. Daft challenge.
58'
M. Özil enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
57'
The Croatian wont get the goal, however. Modric comes off to be replaced by Mesut Ozil. Not a bad sub to bring on.
55'
Luka Modric looks hungry for a goal on his debut and came close when he picked up the ball on the edge of the box and had a crack at goal. Just wide.
53'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
And they have it!! 2-0 to Madrid! Di Maria slips a pass through to Ronaldo who attempts to guide the ball into the corner! Tono makes the save but the Portuguese is there to tap in the rebound! That's his 150th goal for Real Madrid!
52'
Madrid started the game well but they have really let the quality of their play decline since going ahead. Perhaps another goal will act as the catalyst for them upping their game.
50'
Madrid get a couple of passes completed across the pitch but as the ball comes to Marcelo a lack of concentration results on the ball going under his foot out of play. Sums the hosts up so far really.
48'
The atmosphere inside the Santiago Bernabeu has been relatively subdued so far. Real Madrid need to up the tempo of their game a little to get the crowd going.
46'
Á. Di María enters the game and replaces José Callejón.
Real Madrid get the second half underway. A change to report at half time as Angel Di Maria comes on to replace Jose Callejon.
44'
Ronaldo takes the ball down with a glorious touch inside the box and turns inside before driving a shot at goal but Tono makes a smart save to his right-hand side.
42'
Marcelo drives to the byline and chips a cross to the back post for Benzema but the Frenchman's volley goes into the side netting. Some of the crowd in the Santiago Bernabeu thought it was in!
40'
Sergio Ramos picks up the ball in his own half and attempts to release Ronaldo down the left but despite the Portuguese's best efforts to reach the ball, it curls out for a throw-in. He would have been in on goal had he managed to catch it.
39'
Pepe gets yellow.
38'
After making an excellent start to the match, Modric has drifted in and out of the play in the last 20 minutes or so.
36'
El-Arabi shows a turn of pace on the byline and cuts inside before lashing a cross to the near post but a combination of Ramos and Casillas clear the ball behind for a corner. Much better from Granada in the last couple of minutes.
34'
Nyom drives inside and releases Floro Flores inside the box. The Italian attempts to reverse a pass into the middle for the unmarked El-Arabi but Sergio Ramos manages to clear the ball into the stand.
32'
El-Arabi goes on a marauding run through the middle but eventually runs into traffic in the final third. More positive play from the visitors.
30'
Madrid playing the game at walking pace at the moment. Xabi Alonso literally walked through the midfield without any challenge being made on him. Granada need to kick it up a gear.
28'
Swift counterattack from Granada after Xabi Alonso is dispossessed in midfield! Orellana drives forward but eventually finds himself crowded out and Pepe wins the ball back for Madrid.
26'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by José Callejón.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!!! And its a bit of a fluke! Callejon sends a pass down the channel for Ronaldo and the Portuguese squeezes a left-footed shot through the legs of Tono from a tight angle! It took a bit of a deflection but the goalkeeper should be doing better!
23'
Granada need to provide better ammunition for Floro Flores. The balls being played into his feet have too much pace and Pepe and Sergio Ramos are having no problem cleaning up the danger.
21'
Ronaldo attempts the spectacular with a shot from around 25 yards. It had plenty of power behind it but he drags it by the left-hand post.
18'
Lots and lots of possession so far for Madrid but they aren't creating too much in terms of goalscoring chances. Callejon came closest when he was through on goal but nothing yet for the hosts.
16'
Brave goalkeeping from Tono! Callejon teases a cross along the six yard line but as Khedira slides in to score the Granada goalkeeper comes out to claim the ball!
14'
Ronaldo drives a shot at goal but it deflects off a team-mate and goes out for a Granada goal kick. Not his best.
13'
Borja Gómez gets yellow.
First booking of the match goes to Borja Gomez after he blocked off Sami Khedira. Free kick to Madrid just outside the box.
11'
Guilherme Siqueira goes on a cracking run down the left and leaves Arbeloa in his wake before reversing a pass inside to Floro Flores. The on-loan Udinese man strikes at goal but Alonso makes a good block.
9'
Granada are failing to establish any kind of meaningful possession at the moment. Whenever they receive the ball in midfield its only really one or two passes being made before the ball is surrendered to Madrid.
7'
It has been a particularly good start to the match from the debutant, Modric. He is playing in the hole just behind Benzema and all the play of the home side is going through him at the moment.
5'
Ominous start from Granada. Madrid are looking really up for this game. They should be a goal up already.
4'
Great save from Tono! Luka Modric slips a pass through to Callejon who runs through on goal but his shot bounces off the chest of the on-rushing Granada goalkeeper!
3'
Madrid holding the majority of the possession in the opening minutes with Granada under pressure. Juanma Ortiz done well to take the heat off when he took the play up the other end of the park with a confident run down the right.
1'
And we are off! Granada have only ever won at Santiago Bernabeu once, so they will have to pull off something special to get a victory you would feel.
