United are back to there normal selves. This performance showed that the champions are looking to climb back to the top. The fact that Tevez started (I said he should last week) made all the difference. We never even missed Rooney who was missing because of a chest infection. Tevez's work rate is excellent and he was at the start of most of the attacks on goal. A good day's work and a great score. Two great free kicks from Ronaldo and a brilliant goal from Danny Welbeck. Look out Liverpool and Chelsea. We are after you!

A good game that Liverpool deserved to win. Again we see a referee who is not up to standard. The Bolton goal looked good but he disallowed it. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened had it been allowed. Bolton came on strong in the second half. I am not convinced that Liverpool have the stamina to go the distance. They have had a lot of luck this season. You need a bit of luck to win The Premiership, but sometimes your luck runs out.

Anyone who throws anything at the players should be banned for life , full stop. The safety aspect of the game is of utmost importance. Players are not out there to be deliberately injured. The sooner these crazy people are removed from football grounds the better.

This idiot did something you should never do. I understand his anger but as a professional you have to control yourself.

Well done Burnley. They fought back from 1-0, forced extra time and won the penalty shoot out. That's Liverpool and Chelsea out of the Carling Cup now.

Liverpool were not just beaten, they were hammered. They were 3-0 down at half time and never looked like winning. Granted they were playing a lot of fringe players but it is the same for everyone. Benitez must be really fed up. His team were hopeless.

A poor performance but still a win. Fergie seems to enjoy experimenting with his players. Tevez works hard. I don't understand why he is left out every week in The Premiership starting line up. He is the one in my opinion who can make the difference in the big high profile games. Let us see more of Tevez. Bringing him on near the end of a match is futile and a waste of time.

sreejith, you have to understand that only two players from the team that lost to Arsenal were playing. The Carling Cup is not a priority for Sir Alex, but it does give him chance to play some of the fringe players, so that they can gain some experience.

Andy was was one hell of a player and at his peak at United he was unstoppable. Let us hope there is a place somewhere for him in football to pass on his knowledge to the younger ones.
