Fulham manager Martin Jol understands the frustration of the fans following their 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Cardiff City.
Fulham fell behind to a Steven Caulker header in the 12th minute but went into the break level thanks to a wonderful goal from substitute Bryan Ruiz.
But Cardiff took all three points back to Wales after Jordan Mutch's superb last-minute winner dropped the hosts into the bottom three, without a win since the opening day of the season.
After the game some sections of the home support were calling for Jol to leave and the manager admitted that their disappointment was well founded.
"All the teams want to do better and our fans probably want us in the top 10," he said.
"I'll always be calm but I hate it when people are getting worried and nervous especially when the fans ask the manager to quit.
"Even a draw today would have been awful. I think we will be okay but of course it's a blow, Cardiff and West Brom probably won't be clubs in the top six so we have to win these games but we didn't."
The Dutchman went on to bemoan his side's bad luck in recent matches.
"All of our games have been close, and today we worked hard but we're not getting the rub of the green," he said.
"The same happened to us against West Brom, in a way Chelsea was the same, we did well then they scored.
"If you look at other teams around the bottom five even though it's early in the season you get pressure.
"I take responsibility because I can't say that the players don't work hard.
"They work hard and try to win games but it's not easy for us to win games.
"It's a tough situation if you are a top five club or at the bottom but Fulham are not a club who should be in the top six.
"I think we were 20th in the league with spending money so we've done remarkably well to have more points than for example Swansea over the past two years and people don't appreciate that."
