Rudi Garcia lavished praise on Francesco Totti after the veteran forward inspired Roma to a comprehensive victory over Inter.
Totti drilled home an 18th-minute opener before doubling his own tally from the penalty spot.
Then, in the final minute of the first half, he set in motion a scintillating counter-attack from which Alessandro Florenzi put the 3-0 result beyond doubt.
Federico Balzaretti slightly soured Roma's evening with a needless red card that rules him out of next weekend's top-of –the-table clash with Napoli, but with seven wins from as many matches and 20 goals scored to one conceded Garcia has little else to complain about.
Garcia focused his post-match thoughts on his talismanic captain, while declaring himself unconcerned over calls for the 37-year-old to receive an international recall for the 2014 World Cup.
"We have a leader in attack who also wears the captain's armband and he showed the way," Garcia told Sky Italia.
"I am only the Roma coach, so I cannot advise (Italy coach Cesare) Prandelli.
"Totti is one of the best players in the history of football and to see him so happy is wonderful."
Totti, a Scudetto winner back in 2001, wants to keep a lid on expectations after his team's sensational start to the campaign.
"It wasn't easy to win a seventh game in a row," he told the club's website. "There's still a long road ahead but this team can go far.
"Roma have never won seven out of seven before. We'll enjoy the moment but we're keeping our feet on the ground.
"There are other great teams in Serie A. We want to get back into the Champions League. If we can do even better than that, we'll see.
"It always feels great to win here. I'm happy for the team and especially for the fans. They deserve it."
