Galliani dismisses Berlusconi row reports

24 May 2013 04:49

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has denied falling out with club president Silvio Berlusconi, despite reports to the contrary.

Club director Barbara Berlusconi, the president's daughter, insisted on Wednesday that her father and his second-in-command remain "on the same path".

Reports had suggested Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi have fallen out over key issues relating to the running of the club, but the chief executive has dismissed those rumours.

"My personal and professional relationship with Silvio Berlusconi dates back 33 years," Galliani wrote on Thursday in a press release on Milan's website.

"The reciprocal affection and respect has never been cracked by the normal dialectics that characterise every human and professional relationship, neither in the past nor today, contrary to what I have read.

"Only yesterday Barbara Berlusconi commented on this theme. What she said, and only what she said, is the truth."

Milan scored two late goals against Siena in their final Serie A game of the season to finish third and secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League play-offs next campaign.
