Alexander Kacaniklic was disappointed to see Fulham fall to a 3-1 loss to Liverpool in their final home game of the season on Sunday.
Dimitar Berbatov gave the hosts an early lead but a Daniel Sturridge hat-trick was enough to consign the London club to a fifth straight defeat.
And Kacaniklic felt his side were not awarded key decisions against Brendan Rodgers' men in the Craven Cottage fixture.
"It's a disappointing way to end the season at home," he said.
"Losing 3-1 is never good, especially at the Cottage. We wanted to give the fans something to cheer about in the last game but we couldn't.
"It was a very open game. They could have scored a couple more, but be honest, we had some other chances too."
The midfielder was involved in one of the flash points of the game after being clipped by last-man Sebastian Coates.
Moments later the home side had claims for handball when a Bryan Ruiz cross appeared to strike Lucas Leiva's hand but Liverpool went straight up the other end to take the lead.
"I thought it was a foul and I'm pretty sure it was handball. But I'm not the referee," Kacaniklic added.
"(But) I was happy with my performance. I created a couple of chances and had a couple of shots, but unfortunately they didn't result in a goal."
Fulham are all but safe despite the result, but the Swede was downbeat over their end-of-season form.
"We shouldn't really have even been looking over our shoulder at this stage of the season," the 21-year-old said.
"We got to 40 points in back in April. We should have more points and be higher up with the team we've got and the player's we've got.
"We've got another game to end the season and then we'll have to work hard in the summer."
Fulham face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday in the final game of their campaign.
