Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal had no hesitation joining the club in January and has thoroughly enjoyed his first three months in England.
The Spaniard arrived at the Emirates on transfer deadline day after impressing for Malaga in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, and has since made the left-back spot his own.
Arsene Wenger was monitoring the 27-year-old for months and the defender admitted he was keen on a move to England as soon as he heard about a potential deal.
"I was training with Malaga on January 31," he told the club's official website. "I knew something might
happen but I did not think it was anything serious, but
everything happened so quickly.
"The (Malaga) manager (Manuel Pellegrini) phoned me on the same day and told me Arsenal wanted to
sign me and asked if I was interested in playing for them.
"I told them I
was very interested, but everything was so fast I didn't really have
time to think.

Since his arrival, Monreal has made 10 appearances for the club, helping them fight for a UEFA Champions League space next season.
He is very happy in his new surroundings after being helped to settle into England by everyone at the club, but insisted he would always look back on his time at Malaga fondly.

and pieces," he added. "I’m grateful to be here, and I’m giving everything I can for
