Galliani expects Robinho to stay

4 March 2013 12:47

Adriano Galliani says Robinho is happy with life at AC Milan and will only leave the club to rejoin boyhood side Santos.

The forward was reportedly close to a return to his native Brazil in the January transfer window, but the move eventually fell through.

Robinho has since struggled for regular first-team action, but Galliani claims the players is satisfied with his situation at the San Siro.

"Robinho is feeling very good at Milan," Galliani told Domenica Sportiva.

"He turned down a number of Brazilian teams because Santos are the only option for him if he returns to Brazil.

"However, Santos did not reach an agreement with Milan and with the player for several reasons. And we are happy to have him with us."

Robinho's contract with Milan is due to expire at the end of the 2013/14.
