Vydra wanted by four Premier League clubs

25 June 2013 16:40

Matej Vydra is the subject of loan offers from four Premier League sides, his agent has revealed.

The Udinese forward spent the 2012-13 campaign on loan at Championship side Watford, where his 22 league goals fired the club to the brink of promotion, only to be beaten by Crystal Palace in the play-off final.

His form has led to speculation of a move to the Premier League, with West Brom, West Ham, Swansea City and Sunderland among the teams keen to secure the player on a temporary deal.

Vydra's representative also revealed Udinese are not looking to sell the Czech Republic international, unless a monumental offer is received.

"We agreed that none of the offers (for a permanent transfer) are in the region that would interest Udinese," Ondrej Chovanec told isport.blesk.cz.

"They don't want to sell him for £8million, so they have given us freedom to discuss loan spells with the Premier League clubs that are interested.

"At the moment we have offers from four Premier League clubs - West Brom, West Ham, Swansea and Sunderland."

Vydra was also the subject of a rebuffed offer from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, with Chovanec explaining: "At Udinese they don't want Matej to have to get used to life in a different country, so now it seems likely that he will be playing on in England."
