Porto refuse to budge on Mangala fee

Porto president Pinto Da Costa has insisted the club will not accept anything less than the full asking price for defender Eliaquim Mangala.

The highly rated centre-back is reportedly a target for Premier League side Chelsea, but they and other potential suitors will be expected to meet his reported €50 million release clause.

And Da Costa has reiterated that fact ahead of the transfer window reopening on July 1.

He told A Bola: "This footballer only leaves our club if someone pays the release clause."

Mangala was signed by the Portuguese club from Standard Liege in August 2011 for just €6.5m.

He made 39 appearances last season for the eventual Primeira Liga champions, scoring seven goals in the process.

The 22-year-old was raised in Belgium but accepted a first call-up from France, the country of his birth, ahead of being capped in a 1-0 defeat to Uruguay in June.
