Reina open to move to ´bigger´ clubs

21 June 2013 13:05

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina says there are now several clubs bigger than the Anfield outfit, and he would be open to moving to them.

The 30-year-old Spaniard – who joined Liverpool from Villarreal in 2005 – has made 384 appearances in all competitions for the 18-time English champions.

Reina says he is "very happy" at Liverpool but also feels that the time could be right to move on.

And in comments that are likely to anger the club's supporters, he admitted that Liverpool are not the club they used to be.

Reina told The Sun: "My situation is clear. I have three more years of my Liverpool contract, but I never say never."

"I'm very happy and satisfied at Liverpool.

"But of course if I'm given the chance to improve and go to a bigger club, and now there are a few bigger than Liverpool, I'm sure the club would understand."

Reina has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent months.
