International Friendly: Ghana 1 Ivory Coast 1

14 June 2013 23:50

Bareze Gloudoudu's second-half strike earned Ivory Coast a 1-1 draw in the second match of their friendly double-header against Ghana.

Two days after Ghana had won the first meeting between the pair 2-1, Ivory Coast restored some pride with a battling performance.

Ghana seized the advantage after 25 minutes when Godbless Asamoah found the net, but the lead did not last.

Eight minutes after the restart, Gloudoudu was on hand to level things up.

Both teams used the friendly as a chance to assess their fringe players, with their established names in training ahead of their respective FIFA World Cup qualifying matches on Sunday.

Ivory Coast take on Tanzania in Group C, while Ghana face Lesotho in a crucial Group D encounter.
