K-League Wrap: Ulsan go top as Pohang held

Ulsan moved to the top of the K-League with a comfortable 2-0 win over Daejeon Citizen on Saturday.

Defender Bo-Kyung Choi gave Ulsan the lead after 53 minutes before striker Kim Shin-Wook rattled in his 10th of the season four minutes from the end of normal time to make sure of the points.

Kim Ho-Gon's side now lead the division by a point after a second-half fightback from Seongnam denied Pohang Steelers all three points.

Pohang eased into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from attackers Byung Jun No and Bae Chun-Suk, but hosts Seongnam showcased excellent spirit and earned a point as forward Kim Dong-Sub netted his sixth league goal of the season after 55 minutes before midfielder Lee Jong-Won equalised 10 minutes later.

Incheon United are three points adrift of Pohang following a 2-1 home win over Daegu, Brazilian striker Diogo da Silva Farias settling matters from the penatly spot after the visitors had cancelled out Nam Jun-Jae's 44th-minute opener four minutes into the second half through Song Chang-Ho.

Jeonbuk Motors are level on points with Incheon, but needed to come from behind to win at Busan I'Park, former Middlesbrough striker Lee Dong-Gook and midfielder Leonardo giving them all three points after 25-year-old Brazilian Fagner put the hosts ahead inside three minutes.

Suwon Bluewings jumped above Jeju United into fifth with a 2-1 away success over Park Kyung-Hoon's men.

Jeju broke the deadlock through Maranhao after two minutes, before Montenegrin attacker Dzenan Radoncic levelled 19 minutes later.

Cho Yong-Tae proved to be the hero for Suwon, the 27-year-old netting after 76 minutes to wrap up the points for Suwon.

Kim Jin-Kyu scored a late brace to keep Seoul's hopes of reaching the Championship Round alive, as they overcame Chunnam Dragons 2-1. The defender equalising in the 86th minute before grabbing the winner in the 91st minute after Chunnam had gone in front through Jeon Hyun-Chul.

Elsewhere, Milos Bosancic earned a point for Gyeongnam at Gangwon with his eighth goal of the campaign. The Serbian midfielder squared things up after 86 minutes following Bae Hyo-Sung's 69th-minute opener.
