Quartet to leave Swansea

12 July 2013 10:47

Michael Laudrup has instructed four Swansea players to seek new clubs.

Strikers Leroy Lita and Luke Moore, central defender Alan Tate and midfielder Kemy Agustien have all been told that they are surplus to requirements at the Liberty Stadium.

The quartet have been left out of the club's pre-season tour of Holland in order to secure a deal elsewhere as Laudrup continues to make room in his squad for new arrivals, with Kyle Bartley having already gone on loan to Birmingham.

"Some of them were spoken to in April - Tate and Bartley knew we wanted to bring in a different type of centre-back, who can play a little higher with more speed and they both said they didn't want to be fourth or fifth choice here," Laudrup told The South Wales Evening Post.

"And with the forwards, even if we went into pre-season without new strikers, I wouldn't have brought them to Holland.

"It means they can have the time to find another club instead of coming here just to wait before we signed someone, because everyone knew we wanted a striker so they needed time to prepare themselves.

"There were a lot of things with Kemy last season and it's best for him that he finds a new environment where he can try to play a little more regularly. I think that's best for him."
