Subotic faces six-week lay-off

Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic is facing six weeks out after suffering a calf tear, the Bundesliga club have confirmed.

The Serbian centre-back pulled up sore at the club's training camp in Spain over the weekend, with scans confirming the extent of the damage on Tuesday.

Felipe Santana is the most likely candidate to fill the Serbian international's space at the heart of Dortmund's defence.

Dortmund return to league action at home to Werder Bremen on January 19.
