Cannavaro convinced of Juve recovery

Fabio Cannavaro said Juventus are the strongest team in Serie A and is confident they will recover from their loss at home to Sampdoria.

The Turin giants cruised to the domestic title without losing a single game last term, and once more sit top of the table this season as they hold a five-point lead over second-placed Lazio after 19 games.

"Juventus are the strongest team in the league. They will bounce back from the loss (against Sampdoria). They are mentally very strong," Cannavaro told reporters.

"Juve have already shown this season that they have more continuity than the other teams and they have more hunger for success.

"They will obviously have a few difficult moments, because they are without a player like [Giorgio] Chiellini. I'm sure they will return to winning ways right away, though."

Juventus take on AC Milan in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.
