Inter coach Walter Mazzarri refused to be drawn on whether Fredy Guarin will join Chelsea next month after Sunday's derby victory.
Guarin laid on Rodrigo Palacio's sublime late winner at San Siro that ended Inter's run of four Serie A games without a win and piled more pressure on Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The Colombia midfielder's representative, Marcelo Ferreyra, last week stated that the 27-year-old is set to move to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
Mazzarri insisted he was in the dark as to whether he will lose the former Porto man and hinted he is lining up some new recruits to bolster his squad.
"You've got to ask the club that, not me." the former Napoli coach told Sky Sport Italia.
"With this game we can already start discussing the situation and making some plans. What plans? I'm not telling you!"
Mazzarri was encouraged by the manner in which Inter stuck to the task in a tense Milan derby and was baffled why Palacio was not awarded a penalty when he was upended by Cristian Zapata in the first half.
He said: "I smiled at the goal, but immediately regretted it as lately we have been conceding as soon as we've gone in front and thrown away far too many points,
"We risked it again and the way we played the second half it would've been a real shame. There was a penalty on Rodrigo Palacio? At this stage we don’t even think about receiving penalties.
"The absence of Ricky Alvarez (due to suspension) made a big difference and Milan kept us under ferocious pressure, so we were afraid and psychologically blocked. We needed something to shake us up. We did that in the locker room at half-time and then played the way I wanted us to.
"The goal seemed cursed again, as we kept going close and missing the finish or the final pass, but we got there in the end."
