Steve Bruce knows Hull City's home form has to be strong if they are going to stay in the Premier League this season.
Hull - who only lost six times at the KC Stadium last season on their way to promotion - face Norwich in their first home fixture and Bruce wants to start with a win.
His side may have fallen to defeat away at Chelsea on the opening day, and face 2012 champions Manchester City after Norwich, but Bruce believes picking up points at home will be their focus.
The 52-year-old acknowledged that it would not be easy against Chris Hughton's side but hopes to get off the mark with at least a point.
He said: "The Premier League were kind enough to give us two of our first three games away from home against two of the biggest teams in the division!
"It’s important to look at this Saturday and say 'can we get up and running?' If we can take something from this game, then great.
"We’ve got a huge respect for Norwich and what they’ve done (in the last couple of years) and we know it won’t be easy. But they won’t find it easy coming here either with a big full house and an expectant crowd.
"Our lads proved last week that they’re eager to do well.
"On Saturday, we hope that with the crowd and the occasion we can play well and get some points on the board."
Bruce also labelled Norwich as a model for his own club to follow as they look to secure their top-flight survival.
"If we can run our club in the way that they run theirs, that has got to be our benchmark," he added.
"They are a really well run club and a good family club that people enjoy seeing in the Premier League. I hope that we can make our club as successful as theirs has been over the last few years.
"Our aim has to be to stay in this league, aim to get bigger and better and let this club grow."
